My family has been going here for 25+ years, and it has been such a staple for us. The food is quaint and homemade, while the drinks are plentiful and sophisticated. When I was little, I would get the clams and the linguine with clams. Even until this day, I am in love with this meal! It always reminds me of my childhood and the good food that filled it. I'm biased but I still have to give a review. :) The restaurant used to be owned by some one else... and i'll just leave it at that. If you went and didn't like it in the past couple years, it's a completely different place now. But Chef Antonio is here now... and It's not very often you find authentic Italian food cooked by an Italian chef that has cooked for billionaires and CEOs and celebrities for over 40 some years. Chef Antonio only uses the freshest of the fresh ingredients. His dishes are appetizing and satisfying and there is something on the menu to please every palate. He loves his customers and the service people are friendly and helpful. It's an excellent place for a date or special occasion. The patio is very pretty and on a beautiful day, it feels like Tuscany. At night it's all lit up and lovely. It's a family friendly atmosphere. They have free valet parking for their customers which is a plus! Some of the reviews on here... I literally can't even. Some people seriously don't even know what actual good authentic Italian food is suppose to taste like Good job on your Yelp account!! I suppose that makes you qualified to critique food. One of my favorite dishes ever from any restaurant on the planet was the tortellini alla panna from La Trattoria Lombardi, a cozy little italian restaurant in Uptown that closed about 10 years ago and was torn down to put in some bullshit bar that makes me gag every time i drive by it.... but i digress. Well, come to find out, the owner opened this place years ago and it's essentially the same restaurant... I figured this out when we were there on Friday night for a going away party and I looked at the menu. OMG! My pasta is there! My tortellioni!! OMG! Was it as good as I remembered? Is it ever?? No, but it was pretty fantastic. The service for our ridiculously large group was very good. We moved from the outside patio (smoking allowed) TO the inside bar (smoking also allowed btw) TO the dining room and had a table set for 25 people. They handled all of our requests and all went perfectly. We had tiramisu for dessert and it was fantastic. Overall, it was a great night with great company and great food. If you've read the other review by Jennifer C., I'm the friend who raved about Antonio's, exchanged the tortellini for the cannelloni and the one whose tummy was upset that night. Essentially, the night we went was a bit off, but service here is a bit slow, but it was slower than usual that night. And, the CANNELLONI was a bit dry that night, but, overall, this is usually one of the best dishes on the menu, rich beef and spinach filling topped on one side with a delicious cream sauce and on the other with a wonderful tomato sauce. I think our waiter left it under the heat lamp or something for a while that night, which was why it was dry. As for the TORTELLINI ALLA PANNA, if you have no problem with veal, this is one of the most fabulous dishes, EVER!! Tender tortellini covered in the best cream sauce (one of the things Antonio's is best known for). I generally have to get extra bread to sop up the rest of the sauce, it's that good. As for the upset tummy that night, it was a predictable result of too much rich food, this unfortunately happens to me occasionally. Don't get me wrong on this one. The food we ordered was wonderful - WONDERFUL. We split the Piccata de Vitello, or as I like to call it, Veal Piccata. The veal was so light and soft. The buttery sauce and capers were perfect - nice and tasty. What I was really angry about here was the bill. Ok, so if you put two credit cards with the check - what does that tell most people? Um, to split the check. And if your not to sharp to figure that out - go back and ask your customers. Why is that even an issue?? For the food, I would actually give it 4 stars. For the idiot waiter who made me feel like an ass - I would give him an "I-wanna-stab-you-in-the-neck-with-my-fork" star. read more

I was happy to give this 3+ stars, but here's why I'm adding a star to the rating... We ordered a bottle of wine and, sure enough, the bottle they brought was corked. Bad bottle. I recognized it immediately and so did our server. She apologized and got us a new bottle. Even added another apology towards the end. In my thinking, it's not that mistakes get made, because restaurants are hardly perfect; it's how a place deals with mistakes. Good food and solid servers. read more

After 9 months of Yelping, I am slowly finding places I should have reviewed but never did. This is one of them. I was not impressed with Antonio's at all. I went there with a group of friends and the majority of us ended up sick to our stomachs. The service was ridiculously slow. The waiter was very curt with us when ever we questioned something. If I remember correctly it was something like 30 minutes before our appetizers even showed up. I had the Tortellini Alla Panna. It was extremely rich. It had a good flavor but the consistency of the sauce was off and way too thick. The only thing that I enjoyed that evening, other than the company, was the dessert. The Tiramisu was very good, but not really worth driving all the way to Addison Circle for only dessert. I, unfortunately, was one of the ones that ended up with a sick stomach later that night and all day the next day. I think I've had my fill of Antonio's. read more

Patio gets 5 stars--very relaxing--facing Addison Circle, a great place for people watching, however with privacy, because they have little clear lights on the fence and plants which gives some seclusion between the restaurant and sidewalk. I was not impressed with Antonio's at all. I went there with a few friends because one of them raved about how fabulous it was. It fell WAY short of my expectations. The service was REALLY slow and it was a Tuesday night so you know it wasn't very busy. When we finally got the bread with olive oil it was tasty I have to admit. We ordered the italian sausage and 2 orders of garlic bread for appetizers. The double order of bread was so small that I asked the waiter if this was indeed *2* orders of bread and he (sort of snottily) informed me that it was indeed 2 orders. The sausage was tasty, but it did take 20+ minutes to get to our table so that's a negative. Everyone at the table except for me ordered the TORTELLINI ALLA PANNA (Homemade tortellini filled with ground veal, cheese, sauteed with cream). I feel bad for baby cows so I ordered the CANNELLONI ALLA PAESANA (Crepe stuffed with meat and fresh spinach served with a cream and tomato sauce) because I've had chicken and spinach canneloni many times before (at different establishments) and loved it. The food was - as you can probably guess - SLOW. I'd say it took 40 min min from the time we ordered at least. When the food arrived it looked delicious, but I took one bite of my canneloni and knew there was no way that another bite of this vile tasting excuse for food was going to enter my mouth. The waiter noticed I was not eating and asked what the problem was so I said "I can't eat this". He asked why and I said because it tastes funny (IT DID!). He was going to give me something else but before we could finish my friend who raved about the place offered to trade plates with me and I had taken a bite of my fiance's dish (they all ordered the same thing) to know that it was FAR more edible than my own. So I traded with her. And had to suffer through the rest of my meal knowing I was eating a poor baby moo cow. Gross. We did order dessert and that was pretty much the best part of the meal. I had the Italian Wedding Cake and liked it. 2 girls split tirimisu and loved it. My fiance had some multi layer chocolate thing and it was pretty good too. Not that I was ever planning on returning to this place, but the next day one of the girls in my party advised me she was "tummy sick" all night long. This place cranks out the most delicious Italian food I've had in DFW. Top that off with the most adorable, cozy ambience and amazing service, and Antonio Ristorante earns 5 glowing stars in my book. Easily made a reservation through opentable. A perfect round table for four was waiting for us in full view of the fab Christmas tree out on the patio. This place is decked out in full Christmas gear for the season, which I absolutely love. Our server was Mo, and he was professional yet funny and has clearly been doing this job for years longer than I could afford to eat at nice restaurants. Service was perfect. You get a basket of crusty bread and a couple packages of these crunchy Italian breadsticks to start (my hub remembered those from his very Italian childhood). Mo rattled off a ton of specials that were offered in addition to the extensive menu. We went with the oysters florentine app special (cheesy and decadent) and split a caprese app (super fresh mozzarella). For my entree I ordered the carbonara which was the best I've ever had. And carbonara tends to be my go-to at Italian places. Here, the poached egg on top is cooked to perfection so that when you cut into it, the yolk just oozes out over all of the pasta and pancetta. Combine that with the fresh parmesan and cracked pepper that gets sprinkled all over the dish right as it's served and I just inhaled every single deliciously creamy bite. We all shared a bottle of malbec, and I have no idea exactly which bottle it was but it was excellent. Mo did a fantastic job of keeping our glasses full. We never once had to pour for ourselves. For dessert, we went with the recommendation of a random guest who was walking past us as we ordered and hubs & I shared the banana creme pie. My friend got the blueberry cobbler special and I sort of had dessert envy, but not enough to knock off a star. If you like your desserts to come with a generous topping of fluffy whipped cream, you will love the banana cream pie. Can't wait to come back. Thanks to some great grandparents helping with the kids my wife and I were able to getaway last night. Everything was amazing, wine service and everything was perfect. From the owners to the servers, the way they care for you is class. One thing I noticed is just how many waiters know the customers like they're family and regulars. Italian food and soul at its finest and purest. Owner and chef Antonio pours his heart and soul in to his recipes and you can smell and taste it in all of his dishes. Valet is or self-parking is available. The Clams are absolutely delicious with the juices they're cooked in and adding a zest of lemon. The sausage with fettuccine Alfredo is unbelievable with the cheese melted on top and the tomatoes that are roasted with it. A while back, I met at this restaurant for lunch with some of my coworkers. I remember ordering salmon with shrimp, which happened to be that day's special. The restaurant was fairly empty, yet the service took a while. I'm not really sure why we experienced such slow service since we were the only one's sitting in our area of the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, it had an old romance look to it. I am sure it would surely fit the mood at night with dimmed lights. We have been here several times since discovering this place a few months ago. It is the only Italian restaurant we have found that both my fiance and I LOVE every time we go! We have not used the valet service because there has always been parking on the street pretty close by but the option to valet is nice. I get the chicken fettuccine alfredo every time we go there because it is SO good. A lot of the Italian restaurants we've been to are up and down with the food quality and service, great one time and then ok the next. This place has had great fettuccine alredo EVERY time! My fiance tries something different each time and he always likes what he gets. He got the salmon special (I don't know exactly what it was) when we went on Friday night. The sauce wasn't his favorite but he said the salmon was cooked perfectly. He's very picky about salmon so he was impressed. He also usually finishes off my pasta because it's a pretty big serving. The service is always wonderful. We get seated promptly. Drinks, bread, and food are out quickly and our drinks stay filled. Super friendly waiters, all of them! The check even comes out timely and they take our payment quickly. We never have to wait for anything. We have not tried the patio yet but plan to once the weather is a little warmer. I know they have a fire outside and I think they have heaters but I get cold super easily so I prefer being inside most of the time. This last Friday night, the place was packed but we still had the best service yet! We keep going back because the food is AWESOME and the staff is wonderful. I found Antonio Ristorante simply by driving by. When every other trendy restaurant has an hour wait (on a Monday, nonetheless), we were seated within minutes... Yup, no wait--take that, trendy places! *said very snarky* Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the wine selection, prompt and attentive. I ordered the veal parmigiana... Since I'm sensitive to garlic, they gladly put the marinara sauce on the side, just in case it was too overbearing for my liking... After a cautious tasting, the sauce was perfect, as well as the entire meal! The ambiance is "old world" Italian, with a comfortable outside patio... Covered and comfortable without being too hot in the summer. This is a great place for a romantic dinner, it's quiet and comfortable. I'm for sure going back! read more

I've been to Antonio's twice now. Both times were absolutely delicious. The second time was to celebrate my birthday. I made reservations for 18 people without any issue. The entire back area of the restaurant was set up for us when we arrived and we were promptly waited on. The service was AMAZING; if you can get in Guillermo's section, I highly recommend him. He was so attentive and ensured we all were well taken care of. I ordered the rigatoni which was delectable. My entire family raved about their food which included appetizers too. I love the ambiance in this restaurant and how cozy it feels. I've sat on the patio too which is equally as lovely. All around, an awesome restaurant where you can have good food, great service and feel super comfortable too. read more

Antonio's was a Wonderful Experience for us. We had reservations for 20 for a business dinner and four additional people showed up as the evening went on. Most waiters would have been unhappy but this staff just rolled with the punches! They were solicitous without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. The dinners were varied and delicious. The people at my end of the table ranged from traditional Italian choices to steak and seafood. The food that arrived was beautifully presented and delicious. The salads and desserts were also hits. This restaurant is great, and the experience I had showed me that the establishment is better than just the food. We had reservations for 7:15pm and showed up on time. We were seated promptly by a very friendly host. However, about 15 minutes later, no one had come by our table as our server. The tables near us were seated and their waiters came immediately. I flagged down a waiter and mentioned the problem. A couple of minutes later, the (presumably) manager or owner came by and was very apologetic. The waitress showed up and provided great service. A couple of times through the meal, the manager came back by and checked on us. He also gave us a free desert. The reason I say this is not to say this place has a problem. They don't. Mistakes happen, and I believe that is what this was. What says the most about a company is how they handle a problem. They handled it superbly. I would most certainly go back if I lived in the area. read more

First Astoria Caffee and now Antonio - I'm ready to move to Addison Circle! I enjoyed a very nice business lunch here last Tuesday. I was immediately taken by the ambience - very warm and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The lunch menu offered a plethora of choices, with something to suit every palate. My business colleague enjoyed her ahi tuna salad, and my Penne Pasta with Italian Sausage was delicious. I don't often give five stars, but I felt I had to with this one! I came across this restaurant via a fundraiser they held last night for Operation Kindness whereby they donated 20% of the night's proceeds to this rescue organization. My initial thought was "Hey, it's a good cause so I'll go support it." My takeaway thought was, "I'm coming back to this place!" From the greeters, to the waiters, to the pet-friendly environment, and (last but most CERTAINLY not least) the food, everything about the experience exceeded expectations. I was waiting on neighbors to join me, so I spread out the evening with calamari to start, followed by their spinach salad with walnuts, followed by one of their pizzas. My neighbor had their steam clams followed by a pizza of her own, and was just as impressed as me. The restaurant itself is highly inviting, the patio even more so. But the wait staff and management really went out of their way (to EVERYONE I saw) to make sure everyone was having a great experience. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the (driving) area interested in an exceptional Italian dining experience. read more

I would say that Antonio Ristorante is a hidden gem but when we went there it was packed. I had never even heard of it. It has a nice location in Addison Circle but Addison Circle seems sleepy and quiet at night even though a lot of people live there. The food was very good. We had a large party and the waitstaff did a great job. It was a little awkward when we got there because it was a cold night and there isn't much of a place to wait around inside. We went in the bar area for a second but it was crowded and tight. I would definitely recommend it and go back and had a good experience. read more

The atmosphere is great, wait staff was excellent, but the food was not up to task. Even the items that were good left you feeling like something was missing. The beef tortellini was undercooked and too al dente with little flavor, the Caesar salad (a hard one to mess up) wasn't very good. The consensus around the table from 10 people who all ordered various appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts was that it was all lacking. I have been going to Antonio's since I moved to The Circle a little over two years ago and it Never Disappoints!! From the Osso Buco to Pizza to Pasta to Trout... All amazing. I travel to Italy and France 2-3 times a year and this place makes me feel like the Chef has perfected the French Culinary Style of Cooking with regional Italian gusto! The absolute best Italian restaurant in Dallas - bar none. Italian food is very regionalized and in Italy each area is 1. different and 2. thinks their style of 'Italian' is the best... so that being said - Chef Antonio does his best to bring Italian food to the masses! Oh where do I start? Antonio's is amazing. The atmosphere is relaxing and elegant. The wait staff is very attentive and caters to all of your needs. Their wine selection is vast and deep with selections that pair well with all entrees. We started off with calamari, meatballs, crab and avocado, and ravioli. The crab and avocado was my favorite even though all were excellent. For the entree I had the pork chop. This was more like a pork roast. It took up the entire plate and was 4" thick. It was finished to perfection, so tender and juicy. Then for desert was the tiramisu. Such a fantastic finish to wonderful meal. We really enjoyed our dinner at Antonio's.
