My company had a work dinner here and it was my first time even though I lived in Addison for a year. Tomato / mozzarella starter was very fresh. Loved the balsamic and fresh basil shredded Calamari had great flavor and texture. Nice and crunchy but still moist bites I ordered a dish that was some type of risotto with shrimp, mussels and scallops. The seafood itself was delicious. Not over cooked and good quality fish. The risotto just average. A coworker let me try her fettuccini and I should've ordered a plate. Delicious!! I also had a side of gnocchi and I saw later that I should had a choice of sauces. They served mine with some kind of white cheese sauce.. maybe the gorgonzola? It kind of killed it for me. Gnocchi is best with red sauce in my opinion. Cocktails were all very sweet but strong so my coworkers and I didn't complain. 4 stars for the food but the 5th star for service! Where do I begin? I booked a reservation thru open book. We were seated promptly, BUT we waited for over 10 minutes for a drink order. By the time he came, we were ready to order dinner. We ordered the lasagna & chicken parmigiana with ONLY Alfredo sauce instead of marinara. Dinner came in about 45 min later, the lasagna literally tatsted like a can of chef boyardee beefaroni baked into the form of a square, no way was that worth $20. The chicken parmigiana with only alfredo sauce came out wrong... they brought alfredo but the chicken was smothered in marinara. So they had to take it back. I watched my husband scrape thru his beefaroni while I waited 20 min for my food to return. Over priced and poor quality. I don't get the hype. read more

I was really looking forward to trying Antonio's because they make their pasta from scratch. After returning from a trip to Italy I cannot enjoy the store bought pasta anymore. The service was great! We sat in the bar area and our server/bartender was very kind. He suggested a Bellini for a drink and it was refreshing - he even gave me one for free because we were dining on mothers day. The disappointment came with the pasta :( I ordered the chicken carbonara and my guest had the chicken Alfredo. Neither were anything like the authentic stuff I experienced in Italy. It was such a disappointment but the pasta was fresh ...just not very tasty. I wanted to try the canoli but after the pasta disappointment I did not want to ruin it. Loved it! We had an awesome meal catching up with great friends. What a perfect night! We had a party of 5 that became seating for 6 on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was buzzing and on the louder side. It took us awhile to order, but we didn't care because it gave us time to catch up. We ordered a few arugula salads, including one which they kindly split in the kitchen. Very fresh and tasty with a nice dressing. Next, we ordered dinner. Yum. I ordered the spicy shrimp over linguini in a red sauce. Amazing! Even though it was late and a large sized portion I ate every bit of it. The bf devoured the spaghetti with pancetta and red sauce. Let's start with, I love Italian food, so was excited to try out this cute restaurant. Came here for my guests 30th birthday. We made reservations, which wasn't necessary considering it was light on Monday evening. With it being nice fall weather, we choice to set outside. Mark was our waiter and he was nice, informative and super attentive. I started with a moscato wine, followed by their bread. I've learned the bread w/ oil is often a hit or miss. This place, was deff. a hit & I couldn't stop eating it. We then ordered the lobster bites, which came out completely different than what I was expecting. They actually had tiny cups with lobster sulking in a buttery/garlic type sauce. It was amazing. Paired with bread, made it even better. At this point, we were off to a great start. For my entree, I did the Quatro Framagii Ravioli which had a great flavor to it. My only wish was that it had some type of meat, or the option to add crab/lobster with it. That would have really paired well with this dish, but it was delicious none the less. After our plates were boxed, I looked at my guess and asked if they wanted dessert since it was their birthday. We requested the dessert menu and instead we got dessert on the house with a candle. It was super nice and displayed great customer service. Definitely a solid italian restaurant in the Addison area!!! What i love about it is the fact that there are plenty of patio seating available! It is located in Addison circle, and parking is plentiful - unlike some areas in Dallas where valet is mandatory! You can either park in the street (you might have to drive a few blocks though to get a spot) or you can park inside the garage across the street. Dinner was started with an order of the Osso Bucco - i would give this a 4/5. I ordered the canneloni and my gf got the penne with italian sausage - both are rated 4/5 as well. The food is definitely fresh and if I'm not mistaken, everything is made from scratch. Best of all, most of the entrees are less than $20! So if you and your significant other are doing date night and want italian food - check this place out and enjoy a glass of wine out on their patio!!! read more

We got there at 8pm on a Monday, I mean no one would expect great service then but we were greeted nicely and our server was friendly and great he suggested delicious dishes. We had appetizers the lobster bites, Mozar Ella alla caprese, and focaccia all were so good!! This was $16. For bland, overcooked chicken and veggies. The chicken tasted like it was precooked and rewarmed due to the refrigerated taste. The sauce was watery to say the least. Good wine selection, so we ordered a bottle. We didn't get bread for a very long time though. Just sat there waiting. Would have been nice to get a little bread, even though our full party wasn't there yet. They did finally bring the bread, and it was pretty good. Same can be said for the wine. We bought the cheapest they had, but it still tasted very nice. I'm sure if we got an expensive bottle like others in our party, it would have been greatness... But the cheaper stuff was still good. The food was also pretty good. I got lasagna because I wasn't on a diet yet. We make better lasagna at home, but it was still tasty. For the price, I expected it to knock my socks off, and it did not do that. Still, it was good for eating lasagna at a restaurant. Did have good flavor. Would I be back? Sure, maybe... I took my girlfriend for Valentine's Day dinner and to be honest, the food was okay. We had the lobster bisque soup, I got an eggplant parmigiana, and she got some seafood pasta in white wine sauce. I've had better eggplant parmigiana so I was a little disappointed in my meal. My eggplant came with bowtie pasta [why?!] and again, meh. Definitely not worth the price. This is a true gem for Italian food! I've been here 4 times over the past 2 years and it's always a wonderful meal and pleasant experience. Food is stellar. Last week went and had the lamb chops. Wow! Some of the best I've had in years. And perfect sides of Brussels sprouts and potatoes. Sauce complemented and didn't overpower. Service is perfect-attentive and not over bearing. One of my favorite Italian restaurants for fine dining and ambiance. It's beautifully decorated with a nice upscale and classic feel, dark polished woods, brick columns throughout, and lovely table settings. This is the kind of spot that you choose when you want to treat yourself to a 5 star experience! The four of us arrived around 600p and were promptly seated in the dining room toward the back. I so wish I had gotten the name of the friendly cheerful server who greeted us to take our drink orders. I usually make sure I get the name, but I guess I had a blonde moment and failed to make a mental note. Our glasses of Merlot, Pino Grigio and one cocktail was quickly delivered. He gave us all the time needed to peruse the extensive menu with so many creative culinary choices to consider. Any time I see Bruschetta on the menu, it is a given that this delightful app will make it to the table. One order please of this crispy Crostini topped with red & yellow grape tomatoes, garlic, basil leaves, olive oil and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. There were four to a serving, one for each of us, which only whetted our appetite leaving room for what was yet to come. NOTE - I could have consumed all four pieces myself because it was so delicious, full of the blended flavors, just absolutely scrumptious! For the entrees, several different choices; one Veal Piccata, one Penne with Sausage, one small pizza, and my delicious Cannelloni; prepared with beef, veal, & spinach; one pasta tube topped with a creamy tomato sauce and the other a creamy white sauce. Both were over the top palate pleasing, and of such size, took half home to enjoy the next day. What a delightful dining experience; service by our (unfortunately) unnamed young man could not have been any better or more appropriately attentive, An exemplary 5 star floats his way! This will always stay in my rotation to visit when celebrating a special occasion. Antonio's fills the bill with ease and outstanding customer service and quality food! OH! This was our first time here recommendation by my brother Mario. We met chef Antonio. He was so nice. The atmosphere is romantic and quaint. Truly authentic Italian food. I enjoyed the gnocchi, my husband had the veal Parmesan while my brother had the special bore pork chop. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We went here on a Friday before the rush. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick. Ambiance 4/5 - would be a 5/5 but it needs a small facelift and it would be darling. Service 5:5 Food 3/5 Calamari - 2/5 it needed to be cooked a little longer and tasted frozen. Caprese salad - 3/5 - nice cuts of mozzarella, but the tomatoes didn't seem super fresh. Haven't been in over 10 yrs. Ambience and service is perfect. Food was not. Chicken marsala had very dark brown sauce which I found salty. Not enough flavor. Casesar salad again lacked flavor except for the cheese. Bread was too crispy but they came out with soft warm bread. I would come back to try something else. read more

We haven't been back to Antonio since Chef Antonio Avona died, pre-covid and our fully vaccinated bodies were anxious to see how it survived. The restaurant itself is still beautiful and conveniently located in Addison Circle. The menu looked pretty much the same with an excellent wine list. Our friend calamari appetizer was a disappointment until we realized how few restaurants can actually do this dish justice. So, spongy calamari is about the norm, just don't order it next time. My Linguine with clam sauce was excellent as was my wife's Cavatelle. Always excellent Santa margherita pinot grigio, super Cappuccino and a good Tiramisu rounded out a pleasant evening. Service was friendly and overall excellent, no hunting for the waiter. We are so happy to see Antonio's is still with us and look forward to many more lunches and dinners there. read more

Antonio's is one of the best Italian restaurants in DFW, if not the best. A good selection of Italian dishes complimented with several fish and beef choices. The wine list is reasonably priced and offers a good selection of Italian and domestic wines. The ambience and service make this place really special. You can actually carry on a conversation too as the tables are not too close together. No loud music playing either. The chocolate mousse dessert heavenly and large enough for three adults to share - will definitely order everything again when I return. Parking in underground garage a block away was a plus.
