Gochujang Pork Belly (thin sliced) - April 2025

Each dish that came to the table we all proclaimed our "favorite". It just got better and better and by the time we left we agreed this was one of (or THE?!) favorite meal of the week. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant has a variety of seating options and is a fun little place.

Reviewing Korean places in NYC is tough. Koreatown in nyc is 1 block vs 150+ blocks in la so I always feel underwhelmed in nyc. Anytime was just ok. The food was fair. The corn cheese was good but my honey soy fried chicken was just average. I thought it wasn't super crunchy and the flavor whole ok just didn't wow me. My friend says her cold noodle was ok. She asked for them to substitute tofu for mean and they refused- huh? The portion sizes were tiny compared to what I get in La making me think this place is a little expensive. $11 for a bottle of Sapporo sealed this conclusion. Service was kinda slow and both my friend and I had difficulty communicating with staff.

Anytime kitchen is located on the 3rd floor of Korean town. Anytime kitchen is fairly quite around 6 pm and the waiter has to check if we have reservations but towards 7 the restaurant becomes fairly packed. But during the stay since they were not busy they were able to get us 2 tables as we order too much food for a small table of 1. Currently there is a menu of buy 2 entree and get one free and which we got the army soup and the beef slices. The army soup was okay but the beef slice was good.

This place was amazing! I went there and got the buy 2, get 1 free deal and this was the perfect amount of food for 2 people! I recommended reserving ahead of time because it's usually packed, but luckily we went during off peak hours and got a table. The chicken with teokkboki is a MUST, the chicken is so tender and the rice cakes are cooked perfectly! (wish there were more rice cakes). The corn cheese is just a basic dish you can't go wrong with and the pork belly was heaven! Perfect amount of sauce and the ratio of pork to the other veggies was great.

My favorite go to when I'm in NYC. It was difficult to find at first, it's on the third floor in a small opening but quite a gem. It is super lively at night with many small to large groups out for some light drinking and food. Their portions are great for the price and they were running a deal when I went : buy two entrees, get a third free. It was so good that I had to stop by for lunch as well. They have cup/bowl versions that are great for a quick pick me up. They accept card but bring cash as you can get a little bit of a discount on the bill. I would say, lunch time is not as lively but regardless, the food is delicious and the service provided is amazing.

Maybe it was because we went on a Sunday around noon, but the vibe was totally dead and the service was mediocre. The corn cheese was drenched in butter--and not in a good way. The jajangmyeon was disappointing, and at $20, the portion size felt way too small. I couldn't even finish my meal, so it honestly felt like throwing $40 straight down the drain. I'd still give it another shot, though--maybe for dinner next time to try a different dish on the menu.

I only came here for drinks one night but had a good time! The vibes in here are great with lots of neon lights, a cool Korean fishcake stall-inspired seating area, and lots of tables for big groups. Service is so sweet. They have so many drinks and food deals here, it's perfect for a big group or night out!

I've been here before and they accommodate well. Fun environment, I recommend if you want to have a good time!! 10/10 :)

Came here to have Thursday dinner with my daughter's bestie and boyfriend, and celebrating a few October bdays. The restaurant is up some skinny stairs to the 2nd floor. It was somewhat crowded for a Korean restaurant. No parking but easier to get by train. We reserved a tale for 8 in the back but being in the back, service was always missed by the staff. We had a selected amount of dishes but none that was outstanding to me. I did like their wings, their pork belly bbq and pork Kalbi but everything else was ok. We did the buy 2, get 1 free deal. We did buy how many bottles of soju grape. Also the lychee cocktail was good. I thought the prices were a little steep for the portion we received but this place is not really for the food but drinking, I think as most tables had more drinks the food so we did the same. Hehehe. We had a good time none the less. Can't seem to think we would come back though because the service was lacking at times. [100R,2025]

We came there for a quick dinner before a concert at MSG, and we Loved it!!! Their menu offered great varieties, and we got 7 items for 6 of us. Everything was Flavorful and Delicious! Glad the portion wasn't too big so we were able to finish them all. If we had more time, we would have ordered more! Here are what we got... - soup bulgogi: rice cakes were so cute and bulgogi was tender - grilled squid: can't miss this - shrimp/scallion pancake: not enough LOL - pork belly bbq: not greasy, just perfect - chicken teriyaki: so tender and flavorful with chives - grilled mayo mackerel: delish - japchae: how can we not have this! Not enough though LOL The waitress was friendly and helpful w/ suggestions, and she cooked the soup for us too. The place is cute, on the 3rd floor, and they even have karaoke upstairs! Too bad we had a concert to catch It's only 7 min walk from Penn Station and MSG. So glad our friend suggested this place based on raving reviews. We will definitely come back here if we're in Korean town again!

Going to Anytime kitchen almost feels like a ritual when we're looking for a place to sit, drink, and eat good snacks on a late night out. The service is great as usual. For this visit, we opted for the Street Set which came with tteokbokki, fishcakes, veggie dumplings, and some form of veggie tempura. The fish cake was extremely filling. The dumpling and tempura were filled with glass noodles. The tteokbokki was good but spicy. We paired this with cocktails. Our table got the lychee, blue aloe, and white peach flavor. There is a current deal going on where you can buy three soju/beer/cocktail, and get one free (make sure you check out their website for any deals as there is one for Halloween right now). The blue aloe tasted the best. The lychee was too sweet but was manageable after the ice watered it down. Definitely skip the peach.

Is this a fun place for brunch or more casual, is there good music playing?

More casual sit down place. Not a bunch place. They do play music and itwas fun to listen to.

How far in advance do you accept reservations?

Hi, Thank you for reaching out to Anytime Kitchen!…

    How do I find it?

Great question! It's super hidden for some reason. There's another restaurant on the ground level with lots of glass windows. Walk towards that and you'll see stairs. Go up those till you see the restaurant. I couldn't find it at first either!

The star of the show was the oyster mushroom tacos. By far the best single bite or dish of food. The flavor profile is so robust, with different textures, it was a true delight. I highly recommend their black sesame bread pooding as well. The bread pooding was so gooey, and crispy and melted, it was the perfect balance of sweetness, and paired amazingly with the cold ice cream. Highly recommend if you are interested in a true fine dinning experience.

From the very first point of contact, the staff at Boqueria were an absolute pleasure to work with. The day of the dinner, they seated us in a semi-private room that had a full view into the kitchen, which was such a fun touch. My team loved watching the action behind the scenes -- it added a really cool energy to the evening. The service throughout the night was prompt and friendly, and the food? Absolutely delicious. We went with a family-style spread that included a variety of appetizers, entrées, and dessert tapas. Honestly, the food just kept coming and coming! As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the owner, Lorena. She was very cordial, attentive, gave magnificent recommendations, and added to the enjoyment of the meal. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and was blown away by the size. The glass was almost the size of the Bryant Park fountain, the Sangria was sweet and refreshing, and the fruit was abundant. I ordered two tapas: Croquetas de Jamon Serrano (Ham Croquettes) and the Albondigas (Meatballs). The croquettes were nicely presented, I enjoyed the sauces that adorned each croquette, they had a slightly crunchy outer layer, and the serving was four. The meatballs were amazing. Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery. A Bright Spot in the Heart of NYC…read more After a long work day in New York City, discovering Debajo was exactly what I needed. The dusky, inviting atmosphere, chill music, and intimate vibe immediately made it feel like a little escape from the energy of the bustling NYC nightlife. And then there was Bernadette, my server, who deserves a special shout-out. She was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely brightened my day. Sometimes excellent service is more than simply getting the order right, it's a little bit of encouragement and warmth someone can bring with their authenticity. The food was fantastic. The Patatas Bravas arrived piping hot with an irresistibly crispy exterior. The smoky paprika was bursting with flavor and brought just the right amount of spicy heat, while the creamy garlic aioli rounded everything out beautifully. The Jamón Ibérico Croquetas were another highlight: crispy panko breading encasing a creamy, savory ham interior. The black garlic aioli added another layer of flavor, while the candied lemon peel gave the dish a wonderful burst of freshness. The Pineapple-A-Go-Go, was bright, refreshing, and perfect for keeping my palate fresh between bites. There's something special about a restaurant that gets the food, atmosphere, and hospitality right--and Debajo checks all these boxes. Great food, chill vibes, a beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service. And Bernadette, thank you again for being such an encouragement and for turning the end of a very long work day into something genuinely enjoyable. You made my evening!

Debajo had delicious tapas in a relaxing upscale environment…read more They are tucked away in nomad, down a set of nondescript stairs. But don't let the basement level dissuade you; they really turn their location into a strength. There's a covered "outdoor" section with lots of natural light, and the inside is spacious and modern, with a semi-open kitchen that makes it feel like you're in a place twice its size. The tapas we tried were great. Patatas bravas were crispy on the outside, with a fluffy inside, and maybe a touch too much salt. The hamachi crudo was excellent, with a unique coconut and mango sauce that gave it a touch of sweet to go with the zest. And the pulpo was great, the octopus was well prepared and the sauce was hearty without dominating the taste. The half chicken was the most memorable dish; our server recommended it, and it's clear why. It was unbelievably juicy and tender, with plenty of lemon flavor in every bite. Lots of meat, don't expect a small plate like the other menu items! All in all a good experience in a nice atmosphere, definitely staying on the list for tapas in the future.
