    Salmon Ciabatta
    Michelle H.

Apres Diem is a European inspired bistro serving drinks and food. Unfortunately, I was not seeing the European vibes in the food or restaurant. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside, but the service was slow. My friend and I got the Salmon Ciabatta and Bagel Sammy. My Bagel Sammy was very average. There was way too much egg on a thinly sliced bagel that it was difficult to take one full bite of the bagel. I did enjoy the aioli and wish there was more on it the bagel. I chose the jalapeño corn cheese grits as a side which was savory (other than the corn... I do not like corn but I like grits), but I wish I asked for salt and pepper for additional seasoning. Similarly, my friend agreed that her Salmon Ciabatta needed more sauce and to be less thick. Overall, I think that this place is average. There is better food for cheaper elsewhere.

Ok, hear me out. Apres Diem has the BEST salmon in Atlanta. I'd put it up against any restaurant. Get the blackened salmon on the Greek or Napa cabbage salad-yes, please! But the real star is the Salmon Farfalle. Enough for two people and is super flavorful. I dream of this dish.

Wonderful cafe spot for late afternoon snack, early cocktail hour or nightcap. Their menu is diverse with some rotating items - I've had delicious specials and their salads are a beautiful balance of flavors. Their patio is very cute and has some spacious lounge like areas to settle in for good conversation and meals for larger groups. Large umbrellas to keep the sun off and is dog friendly along the edge as of this writing. Servers and staff are friendly and attentive and help each other out to provide great service.

Huevos Espanola. Good. Not really impressed though. Needed salt and pepper. Not shown is the biscuit which wasn't gluten free.

Just not impressed with my brunch. Service was subpar. Not terrible, and appreciate the lack of intrusiveness but it really took the server too long to green us, take our orders, check on us and bring our checks. I got a Prosecco drink with muddled raspberries which was very good, and a cup of coffee with almond milk which was also great coffee. However, good drinks alone cannot make up for food lacking in flavor. The huevos espaniola was good. It certainly was not bad, but I'd had a disappointing. Needed salt and pepper to make it taste better. The potatoes also needed some more seasoning. Couldn't had any bread since they had no gluten free options. Also disappointing but I knew that going in, so not killing them for that. All in all just a "meh" meal.

Listen to me carefully. Order every thing I got! I promise you!!!! You will be so happy. First off our waitress was hilarious! She was honest about dishes, gave recommendations, and kept us laughing the entire time. From my drink to the dessert- I enjoyed everything!!!! Please leave room for the cake. Drink- light, refreshing, strong. Appetizer- savory and acidic. Entree- perfectly balanced and stuff with seafood. Dessert- you will lick the plate clean. Seating outside was the perfect touch. A little people watching with a great meal.

Always consistent and the mussels are always my favorite. Been coming here for many years. A gem in Atlanta. Great patio and delicious desserts.

My family member recommended this place as she has been here before. We arrived on a Wednesday night to find the parking lot to be nearly full since it is shared with the many other establishments in the plaza, plus is connected to the Beltline. Plenty of self-assigned seats to pick from either outside or inside. All the dishes were vibrantly presented with plenty of fresh and rich ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed my seafood linguine which came in a rich red sauce, different than traditional marina based sauce. My family enjoyed their Salad Nicoise which came with a few cuts of tuna cooked to your liking as well as the pork chop prepared to your temperature preference. We shared their Drummer chocolate cake based on the many cakes they had on display inside. It was deliciously sweet and layered along with the fresh whip cream on the side. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. My biggest concern however is that the portions are certainly on the smaller side for a more hefty price. Our waitress was phenomenal and the establishment is a very comfortable and almost European vibe. Would come again!

I came here for a brunch after a corporate volunteer event. They were super accommodating with our large group and I liked the patio where we were seated. Parking is also easy with the large lot in the back of the Midtown Trader Joe's Plaza. We got some appetizers to share, including the phyllo-wrapped brie which was delicious! I had a mimosa which was good too. For my main, I had the Huevos Espanola. The scramble was good, but a little dry. The brunch potatoes and biscuit were also decent, nothing crazy. I tried some of the other dishes i.e. Salmon Benedict and I liked those a lot more! Overall, cute spot and great vibes, but I would want to come back to try something else.

Stopped here for a quick lunch outside on the patio... Great service.. Good food.. The mussels was good, super big portions.. Small Caesar salad was just ok, i wasn't a fan of the dressing. The customer service was really good..

Visited as part of the Amazing Co scavenger hunt around Atlanta. Our hunt said we should have two sandwiches, and we only got one. We brought it to their attention and even though Amazing Co had communicated one sandwich to Apres Diem, they immediately made sure we got two. Great customer service for doing that! Not only that, but the turkey sandwich was delicious. I usually don't like turkey sandwiches and they left me wanting to come back. Great job all around!

We were here for a birthday party in the back room. Very friendly and efficient service. The handled 30 orders all different times, but delivered shortly after ordering. Never forgot any request. Great atmosphere for group in the back. Food was good. Mediterranean platter was a little bland although looked very nice.

Server forgot about us early on in the meal. Cocktails are decent and I imagine that's why people go, but there are better places to eat.

This business is listed as being dog friendly, but we were told they don't allow dogs on the patio. Which is correct?

Hi Eric We do allow dogs on our front patio with metal tables, chairs & big red umbrellas. We do not allow dogs on our covered patio by entrance and along the side. Apologies…

We all loved it. Both dishes were perfectly portioned and full of flavor. I forgot to take photos, but the decor in the restaurant is super cute. Our server was Robin. He was pleasant and had really good service. He told us to relax and not worry about the restaurant closing. That made us feel better. Maya and Robin told us to come back for brunch so we did. The food during during was amazing. We got the ahi tuna tacos and the edamame and shared the burger and the salad. Everything was colorful and full of flavor. There isn't one item that left us disappointed. For brunch we came back and had the tuna tacos again. My husband loved them so much he ordered them two more times. We also had the bao Benedict and the tuna toast, which came recommended by Maya. All amazing. Also try the fruit salad and the nachos! For drinks we had the cold brew martini and the Caribbean Coffee made by Jess who was also very kind. I told my husband that the good, colorful food combined with the ambience and amazing service made me feel like I was on a vacation. I love this place and have added to one of my favorites. Cheers!

We came here for a birthday dinner celebration and we met with great customer service and a lovely atmosphere. There was a jazz trio performing, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. We were seated in an area that had a lot of traffic so some of us were bumped multiple times by servers, food going over our heads, people swinging their jackets, it just seemed as if the tables were a bit too close together. The food. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, the fried green tomatoes, and the pork belly. All of these were delicious, though we did feel like the tomatoes could've been a little crispy. The Carolina gold sauce on the pork belly was a nice tangy combination with the protein, and the shrimp had a surprisingly good sauce. The issue that we fell into with two urban licks were the mains ... We felt that the rotisserie chicken was a bit dry, and flavor was confusing as it was presenting as tandoori, but had an underlying flavor we just couldn't get into. The market fish on the menu for the day was a red snapper, and it didn't come with any sides, but it seemed like the fish was simply fried in the oil and it didn't have any seasoning or underlying flavor which we were disappointed in. The Hawaiian wahoo fish was a bit overcooked, and the "jerk" short ribs leaned more habanero salsa in the taste. The coconut rice and peas that went along with it was also dry, without coconut taste, and missed the mark for us. We are Caribbean and this was a disappointment to experience. The description on the page oversold it just a bit. We were able to call the manager, and they removed the chicken dish from our bill and took half of the final price of the short rib from our bill as well, and that was appreciated! Looking around the restaurant, it seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal, though we could never know what conversations were being had at those tables, and it just seems like this restaurant was not for us personally! Great service, but due to the food, we don't plan to return

The second night, the bartenders were affable, though less attentive, and not as talented. I will say that their martinis are creative and vast. The Supper Club with the dry umami vermouth, the anchovy stuffed olives. I don't even like olives and I liked this martini. The PV Freezer, made with vodka, bordiga white and extra dry, citrus bitters, and ice, was a great palate cleanser. My favorite was the Dragon Painter, made with curaçao, roku gin, soju, and lime. This is where the inconsistency comes in (aside from the lag in service). The one I had on day one was literally amazing. The second was one I wouldn't try again with the same bartender. An encounter that backs up this assertion: the bartender from the day before stopped and asked me which I preferred, and she was not surprised when I told her that her drink was much better. Food is more on the American bistro/bar food scale and includes: truffle fries, burrata, tuna & avocado crudo, tartare, calamari, artichoke dip. Salads and soups. Short ribs, French dips, corn risotto, grilled salmon, black cod, crab cakes, steak of various kinds, chops, chicken, burgers. Something for everyone. Overall, a good pick from Ponce City Market.
