The ambiance is a 10/10. It's the coolest looking restaurant I've been to in a long time. The food was good. My filet was indeed cooked to absolute perfection which did impressed me. The steak sauce I have had before and this is partly why I went to this place. It is literally the best steak sauce ever! Bourbon Aged Worcestershire. A must try. My cocktails, were honestly the best I've ever tasted of a type that I try everywhere and make myself. So that was impressive to me. I suspect they used their own bitters. The champagne was also the best ever, very dry and good. Called Lobo? The service was exceptional and good. The server was greatly knowledgeable about the items and super friendly and cool. Even though they have "the best" of several things, my criticism is that it is overtly expensive. I don't mean just generally expensive, but it definitely qualifies as extreme. I like the ambiance so I wish they had some more approachable prices for the steak entrees and maybe not have them be al la carte at those high prices. Excellent steak and a good place for a fun night out. The beef carpaccio was excellent. Thinly sliced, strong beef flavor and a hint of lemon juice to brighten the flavor. The ribeye was a flavorful as any I've had and cooked to an excellent medium rare. We split a steak and the did a nice job in the kitchen of dividing it for us. The sides were good, nothing really stood out but all were tasty. This really is a fun, lively, trendy restaurant with indoor and outdoor options. If you wanted a date spot that you could really show off at, Arnett's Chop Shop is the spot. Great vibe and artwork with a perfect environment for getting dressed up a bit for a date. Note that this place is high-end and so the prices reflect that, but the food is good enough to warrant it. This is my second time visiting, and both times we've chosen to sit at the bar, and the service was commendable. Great recommendations from each of the bartenders. The octopus was a little salty at the tip but otherwise surprisingly delicious. I'm glad we didn't do the bread service because the portions were large enough that I would have been overstuffed. The wedge salad was honestly good as a meal by itself, but we also got the seared tuna dish, which was absolutely amazing! It may only be a few times a year, but this is the place my fiancée and I go for major celebrations. It'd be a pretty amazing place to have a high-end wedding reception, too. read more

I was super excited to see what the hype was about - despite the mixed reviews I've seen online. I opted to celebrate here for my birthday, and left very disappointed. Let me start by prefacing, I love steakhouses and went in with no expectations. The service of this restaurant is sub-par, at best. Our waiter was Hector, and he could've cared less about making this an enjoyable dining experience probably because a 20% gratuity was guaranteed with the party size. Not once did he ask if we wanted another drink, ask if we were there for a special occasion, or really put forth effort. The food itself - under seasoned and very underwhelming. I opted for the oysters, new york strip, lobster mac & cheese, and broccoli. Ironic enough, the best part of the night was the oysters - the one thing that doesn't require cooking. The steak was not seasoned well, a little dry, and overall not worth the money. It was almost as if there was no butter or salt added. The birthday dessert was okay, but they served the cake freezing cold. I came into the restaurant excited and left severely underwhelmed with the overpriced & not good experience. My mom graduated with her masters this past weekend so I flew down to Atlanta for the celebration. After the evening ceremony, we knew we wanted to celebrate over a lovely dinner so a friend recommended Arnette's. Ambiance: The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. From the time we stepped foot in I was in complete awe. I love the section where you can see into the chef's kitchen. We weren't seated over there as I believe those tables are only for two but if I ever return, I'd want to experience that side. Service: Outside we were greeted by valet parking who was extremely nice. It set the tone for what to expect when walking in. Our waiter was fabulous. We never felt like we had to flag him down at any time he was always readily available and helpful with deciding what to eat for the night. Food: SUPERB!! This is on record, best tuna tartare I've ever had in life...yes, I said it, lol. We also ordered the scallops and the shrimp as appetizers. The scallops literally melted on your tongue like a piece of cotton candy. It comes with a side of melted butter and honestly, who even needs that? Lol. The tuna was sooooooo well seasoned. The sauce underneath was an added bonus. The shrimps were also divine. Now for the main course, both my parents ordered the branzino and I had the lobster pasta. The whole ride home all we could talk about were those dishes. We got the opportunity to meet the chef and couldn't rave any longer about how amazing the food was. 10/10!! This place is now in close running with my fave steak restaurant NY Prime. My family treated me to nice bday dinner here and I was impressed. We were seated up stairs with a nice view. The restaurant was however really dark and hard to read the menu, literally had to use the flash from our phones just to place our order so I would suggest better lighting for the patio area Our server was pretty nice and energetic. Seemed a little rushed at first to order but I understand he may be working multiple tables. The pricing of the food was a bit high but understandable for a high end steak restaurant. Definitely a place I would love to come back for date night. The food was pretty good. My mom was not too impressed with her snapper she felt the portion was really small. The best food option we ordered was the lobster spaghetti (with shrimp added). And of course the steak was good with the Mac n cheese. Another honorable mention was the wagyu ribs which I was surprised by how big it was, especially for it to be a starter option. My brother did not like his Moscow mule because it had too much ginger and the margarita his gf ordered was too sweet. Man, I must say this steakhouse is very well hidden in plain sight! I feel like since the surrounding areas seem so residential and with a lot of greenery, I never even knew this place existed until we kept driving and it suddenly appeared through the clearing. This place definitely did a good job of presenting an upscale environment and nice decor. We ascended the long staircase and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and there weren't a lot of other diners around, probably as it was about an hour and a half before they were closing. I enjoyed sitting at the bar, but in general I felt like the entire inside dining area upstairs was entirely too dark. At times it was difficult to even read the menu because the lighting was so low. We decided to order some different things and share. These included the 36 oz. Old World Tomahawk (aged 60 days), sides of Potato Pureé, sauteed vegetables (green beans, onions, mushrooms, and Bell peppers), and corn that was off the cob. All of the food was really good (particularly the Tomahawk steak) and we had some cocktails that were also well executed. Overall, it was a really good vibe. I just wish there was more light inside while we dined, but I wouldn't hesitate to return to this restaurant based on the quality of the food and drinks we had. read more

The restaurant has been open for about 4 years and is the sister location to the more established Haven. It's a traditional steakhouse in a reclaimed warehouse with a contemporary interior and nice style. They have valet parking with a $5 minimum (the sign is posted on the side of the valet stand and is easy to miss). We had reservations and were seated right away. Our waiter Dave was stellar start to finish. He made several recommendations and we took them all. He was spot on with every one. For appetizers we got the wagyu beef ribs/18 and crab cake/$26. The wedge/$14 and simple green/$10 salads. Bread service is $5 and the proceeds benefit Atlanta Community Food Bank. It's served right out of the oven and comes with 2 types of butter (honey & bacon) and whipped ricotta. And of course we ordered steaks; 8oz filet/$48 and 14oz bone in filet/$92 with compound butter/$4. For shareable sides we had creamed corn/$10, asparagus/$14, and potato purée/$8. We ended with mocha cake and creme brûlée each $10. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. And the steaks were cooked perfectly. After a few visits, Arnette's has got a lot better, with friendlier and more attentive servers and an absolute gem of a bar manager, Jerry. The food is always of the highest quality, and well presented. Four times in a row, the server has forgotten about the sauce we ordered to accompany the steak - something must be broken in the process, because they're always quick to bring it when reminded. But other than the terrible bathrooms (shared with other tenants in the building), Arnette's is a solid choice for a more traditional steak night. I love the retro dessert options, like a build-yourself sundae and Baked Alaska. I love the bread service with proceeds going to a good cause. The whole restaurant felt like a restaurant with money that tries to be fancy but doesn't know what real fancy is. (Plus Factors) -Wait staff and servers were very friendly. -The seafood, drinks, and desserts were awesome. I would go back for those. -Oysters tasted very fresh and loved the quality of horseradish that they served with. (Minus Factors) -The interior looked cheap. They blocked the side of the balcony with a cheap-looking vinyl curtain that made the whole restaurant look cheap. -Servers put silverware wherever and in whichever direction they feel comfortable putting it. I had to pick them up from the end of the table and put them where they actually belong (in front of me) -The steak came out cold & on a warm plate that I could hold with my bare hands. The compound butter we added didn't even melt completely until we finished the whole tomahawk steak. The steak wasn't seasoned properly in my opinion. They should work on their flagship steak menu. -When they serve their Creme Brulee dessert, they use other restaurant's napkins (Vero Pizzeria) to put the dessert dish on. I don't know if the owner owns both restaurants, but that huge lack of detail made me doubt the owner and the chef. -They only give valet parking options to their customers unless they want to park on the street. I felt like the restaurant was not fancy enough to do this type of service & wished that the restaurant would offer valets a decent uniform so that they look neater & less casual. -The whole experience was not delightful and not sure if I would go back. read more

Arnette's is in a nice little tucked away part of Brookhaven. They have valet parking which truly helps as you don't have to worry about finding parking. It has multiple rooms all with great vibes and a second level which is really cool. The food and service are both top notch and offer amazing variety. For starters I highly recommend the Waygu Beef Ribs and the bacon. The oysters are also really tasty and was my first experience with oysters. The dauphinois was a nice different way of eating potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly and I highly recommend it as a main course. If you are looking for a drink to grab they make a great old fashioned and expresso martini for desert. Overall, really loved the experience and will definitely be back. I dined at Arnette's on a Saturday night for my birthday dinner. It was wonderful!!! This is truly a hidden gem in Brookhaven. Reservations were at 9pm and there was a line for valet. I was shocked how busy it was inside at this time. There were a lot of birthdays, even a local celebrity. For appetizer we had bacon, crab cakes, and the bread. The crab cakes were small but good. There were two and came on a bed of salad. The bacon we didn't like. It came with popcorn sprinkled on top and maple glaze that resembled bbq sauce. Weird flavor to me so I wouldn't order again. The bread was a loaf and a bit hard but came with three different butters which was an unique touch. We also had the Wedge salad. I'm not a wedge salad person but It was good. Note it comes with eggs on it. For my entree I order the 12 oz NY Strip. Delicious!!!! Our sides were potato purée (mashed potatoes), and brussel sprouts. Both were great. Im mad I didn't take any pictures of the food. My mouth is watering thinking about it again. I can't wait to return and sit upstairs in the summer. read more

We had a party of 5 at 7 pm on a Friday night. We had a reservation, but at 7, it wasn't crowded. It got more crowded as the night went on. The outside and inside were super nice. The ambiance is on point. They had beautiful lights and candles. It can be very romantic. We enjoyed 3/4 of the cocktails we got. We got Up on the Roof ($14), Sloe Train Coming ($15), The Rising Sun ($14), and Port Old Fashioned ($14). The only one we didn't like was The Rising Sun. It smelled like straight whiskey and pretty much tasted that way too. For appetizers, we got Bacon ($10) and Tuna Crudo ($16). We had heard great things about the Bacon, but it was really fatty and it just didn't live up to the hype. The Tuna Crudo was better. For entrees, we got Louie Salad ($22), Lobster Spaghetti ($34), 14 oz. Bone-In Filet ($64), and Burrata Ravioli ($21). The Louie Salad was a slightly spicier than anticipated. The salad itself wasn't dressed, besides what was on top of the fish. The Lobster Spaghetti was good, and we liked the sauce, but it was overpriced for what it was. The 14 oz. Bone-In Filet was just average. We've had much better steak. The Burrata Ravioli was also a letdown. I wanted the sauce to be creamy, but it was pretty much just oil. For sides, we got the Brussels Sprouts & Apples (without Bacon) ($12) and Dauphinoise ($12). They were okay. They were good portions for sharing. We looked at the dessert menu, but weren't tempted by anything so we didn't get dessert. We told them when we made the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and the hostess even confirmed when we got there that we were celebrating a birthday, so we were surprised when we didn't get any special dessert. Overall, very cool ambiance. We would maybe go back for a drink and a burger, but there are much better steak places in Atlanta. We do not recommend going here for steak. read more

It wasn't spicy as some people were saying and not seasoned to perfection. It was just Meh, in my opinion..We also had the potatoes puree which were good and the cream corn which was a little watery for my liking. My BF had the 18oz aged steak which he enjoyed. I'm not 100% sure why I feel compelled to leave this review, because I have never dined at Arnette's Chop Shop, but I'm moving forward with my decision to post. I made reservations to give this restaurant a try, reading some pretty nice reviews. Yesterday I sent a note to them asking if they offer a "corkage fee" possibility, because I wanted to bring a very special bottle of wine with me for dinner. This is an anniversary celebration and this particular wine is not offered from their cellar. The response I got back infuriated me for some reason, which read "....we do not allow any outside food or drink". Of course I was not asking to bring in "food" and my request in general was not unreasonable, for a fine dining establishment. I have subsequently cancelled my reservation and I have no intention of every trying to go back. Words matter. read more

I came here on a Tuesday night to enjoy the patio and have a snack. The patio windows were closed so I didn't really get to enjoy the full benefit. The ambiance was gorgeous so we opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was courteous but not very attentive. She often had her back to us so it was difficult to get her attention. The menu was small and mainly had steaks so there weren't many options for a snack. We got crudo, beef ribs, salad, and french fries. The beef ribs had a good flavor but were suuuper greasy. I felt gross afterwards from all the oil so i was able to stomach much else but my friend seemed to enjoy her food and wine (i did not drink). The prices were what I would expect for a steakhouse. Most of the people there seemed to be on a date so the vibe is great for that. I may come back on a weekend to see how it is. Overall it was nice but if I go again I would try something different to eat. read more
