Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

I'm not sure. Not sure if they were having plumbing issues, but the water was cold the whole service. It warmed only slightly but not comfortable. What was most concerning was how tangled my hair was at the end. I have never seen my hair in such a knotted mess. Yes she was able to detangle, by pulling it apart and ripping the hair. The tangles were caused by poor products and shampoo technique. A good conditioner and proper rinsing would never leave my hair like that, the 90minite service was also supposed to include blowdry, I was told to pay $10 more. I will not be returning. I wish them luck and hope they can use this as a reference to make the experience better. There are MANY head spas in the area that take better care of the client for the same price.

It's been a week since her appointment, and she still talks about it almost every day. Seeing her so happy and relaxed truly meant so much to me and my family. Haruna's skills are exceptional. She was able to assess and work through many of the knots and tension in my mother's neck and shoulders with incredible expertise and care. My mother told me it was the first time she had met someone who was both graceful and gentle, yet incredibly strong at the same time. Haruna truly has a gift. She even managed to remove old hair dye stains from my mother's scalp. Her attention to detail is phenomenal! Thank you, Haruna, for taking such wonderful care of my mother! We didn't know it, but they had a special promotion going on in November where they added on a bunch of free upgrades to the service. Not only did we get the full 2 hour treatment, they also did advanced face massage, as well as leg and feet massage. The place is small but so incredibly cozy. There's only 2 spots so we had a private and pampered experience. It's called a head spa, but it was truly more than that. We started off with a heated eye mask and scalp massage, followed by a face and neck massage, leg massage, and then a thorough double cleanse and conditioner. My hair felt so soft and revived after the treatment. And my face felt so smooth and glowy! Truly 2 hours of bliss. Once the massage and washing were over, we were treated to some cute snacks, followed my a thorough drying and even light styling of hair with Dyson hair dryers. Jade made sure to dry my low porosity hair thoroughly and even changed out some of the dryer heads to give me a little blow out! Then we were gifted a shampoo and conditioning treatment by the same company that they used to do the head spa. All in all, an amazing experience!

Nobody answered at first, but I received an immediate text back asking what I needed. I requested the service and I was surprised I received so much more. I received the Kaori. It was Heaven! It really does include everything it says! The only little things that may be a concern is a tad of a language barrier and other surrounding businesses where the people were being kind of loud. Even with the noise, I fell asleep! Other reviews mention parking; there is plenty of street parking. They are located in Optima Salons. There are plenty of other things to do around there before or after your visit. Take a Pilates class with Cami at CDM Pilates the next building over. Grab a juice or bagel at Brueggers. Make a whole day of it. This is a MUST!!!

We went in May and the actual spa treatment fell short of expectations. Our hair seems silky at first, but in 15 minutes after leaving was dry and the worst condition either of us had ever had our hair. The most uncomfortable part happened at the end of the visit. The staff stood there to make sure we were tipping, making it very much expected and putting us on the spot. To top it off, they insisted that the tip be sent to them privately and separately rather than going through the company's normal payment system. Cornering customers for untracked, private payments is completely unprofessional.
