There's enough seating inside the restaurant for about 20 or so people. But there's also a couple of tables and chairs directly outside of the establishment as well. We noticed quite a bit of people coming in, ordering take-out and then waiting outside for their food. It seemed a little short-handed and frantic at the time, but it wasn't terrible service. All I have to say is if I died and went to heaven, this is what I would be eating every single day. The La Bomba Pasta had fresh burrata cheese on top of pasta with a mushroom marinara sauce. And that Lobster Mezzaluna had huge chunks of lobster inside, topped with a lovely pink sauce; we love a good pink sauce. No matter what time you go by this little gem of an eatery, it's always busy. The place is reality small so making reservations for evenings would be recommended. The kitchen area is open and the decor is light so you don't feel closed in. They have lunch options until 4:00pm so you can still have a light lunch. I had the Linguine Puttanesca (my favorite) and ended up taking some home. My friend had Lobster Mezzaluna (her favorite). The Food: Really delicious - on the heavier side since I've been eating plant based for a while. It was a welcomed break to try their pizza and salads. The flavors were denser than what I'm used to, but quite pleasant. Service: Super chill and patient in providing recommendations. The salad and pizza recommended were worth the try. Ambiance: Brick-inspired decor gives a rustic feel without having to breathe in the dust like you would if this were in a condemned historic building in D.C.'s NW quadrant. Yeah, I'm looking at you, DuPont Circle! Parking: The Monsarrat lot is the real American Horror Story. It's tight and always full. Best to carpool or try your luck parking at the UH campus with the million-dollar views and walking for a mile (easier than finding neighborhood parking). First thing first, this place is BYOB! We brought wine and they gave us a wine glass to use with NO COST. We walked in, not knowing this place got REALLY popular. Lol we didn't have a reservation and I think he is the owner but he told me that they had one table open but it's small. We were okay with that because it was me and my two friends. We ordered immediately and the food WAS AMAZING. If you are looking for authentic Italian food with reasonable pricing, this is where it is at. The ambiance was so chill and there were a lot of people who got off of work coming here. You can tell everyone was having a great time. :) If you order the pasta, definitely get the creamy sauce. Aroma Italia near Diamond Head is a must-visit for pizza lovers! I think we've found our favorite pizza place on island! The funghi pizza with its addicting garlic cream sauce is simply delicious, and I just can't wait to go back for more! The primavera pizza with its fresh veggies is also delectable. If it's a good pizza, don't mind eating vegetarian at all haha. We went there during lunch time on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that they also offered lunch combo during the weekends, yay! The combo is a great bargain and comes with a delicious tiramisu made by the owners, from what I was told by our server. The restaurant is very kid-friendly with high chairs with a casual dining environment. The authentic Italian experience is further heightened by the shelf of products imported from Italy including some spread, pasta and sauces. Initially, we wanted sushi, but the place we stopped into didn't have anything we thought looked appetizing, so we went next door to Aroma Italia. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The service was attentive as well. I wish I had the mental fortitude to take more photos of my food while starving, but really I just shoved food in my mouth. Luckily, I was able to take at least one photo for you guys. The pizzas we had were delicious. I liked the thin crust and that it was personal size. I also had their lobster ravioli. Go for the pasta not the pizza. The La Bomba pasta was very good even though I am not a big burrata fan. Excellent rich and creamy sauce. By Hawaii standards it is a 4.5. It is really hard to find good Italian food in Hawaii so i am grateful for this place. The pizza was only so so. A simple pepperoni pizza is the litmus test for good pizza and this pizza was only average. They don't have a wood burning pizza oven so temperatures probably don't get high enough to make a high quality crust. One of my FAVORITE italian spots on the island! Aroma Italia is seriously a hidden gem that I wish I could keep to myself, but want to tell the whole island about because their food deserves all the recognition it can get! They're located in the same lot as Bogart's, Da Cove and Sunny Days, on Monsarrat Ave. It's a very casual place, but there's nothing casual about their food. It's top-quality food without the incredibly hefty price tag. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Francesco, who was seriously one of the most kind-hearted, hard working chefs i've met. He taught us all about the different ingredients that go into the food and even told us that they import their ingredients (like that amazingly creamy burrata on their La Bomba Pizza) straight from Italy! We tried a huge variety of different foods, but here were some of my highlights: La Bomba Pizza - the creamiest burrata sits on top a simple pizza with pepperoni, mushroom and arugula and i can't believe it's taken me this long to try a pizza with burrata (spoiler alert; it's game-changing). Carbonara al Salmone - it reminded me of a classier version of the salmon alfredo from my childhood restaurant, Anytime Cafe (rest in peace :')). Butternut Squash Ravioli with Pink Sauce - the pink sauce was a creamy, sweet, hearty sauce that went well with the sweet butternut squash filling. We also tried the housemade Tiramisu, which I'm not usually a fan of because I don't like coffee, but this one was fantastic. It wasn't too sweet or coffee heavy, but instead was just a very light, smooth dessert. While we were enjoying our tiramisu, we saw a customer that bought all the tiramisu, telling Francesco how her family loves it so much and that they come back just for the tiramisu - and I can see why now! This place really is a hidden gem - great food, wonderful hospitality, nice central location (although parking can be a bit tricky given the limited number of stalls) AND it's BYOB. read more

The restaurant is very cute and well decorated. The parking lot is shared with the other shops in the small strip mall, so parking is limited. It is not a huge space, so if you have a big group (or if you don't want to risk a wait), it's better to call for reservations. The staff were all very courteous and friendly. We started with the Clams and Mussels starter, which was served with toasted garlic bread. The taste was nice, I wish there were a few more clams/mussels for the price. That being said, I would still order it again. I'd rate the dish a 7.5/10. My main dish was the lobster mezzaluna with pink sauce (creamy tomato), to which I added mushrooms. My dish was delicious, and the mezzaluna was stuffed with chunks of lobster. I'd give it a 8/10. I ended the meal with the cannolo dessert (with chocolate filling). I literally could not decide on what pasta dish to try because I wanted so many of it! (I guess I'll just have to come back LOL) for appetizer, I got the meatball Al sugo with the garlic bread. The meatballs were flavorful and that sauce was perfect with the garlic bread. For pasta, we ordered the lobster mezzaluna with the pink sauce (so creamy, great amount of lobster in each ravioli) and the la bomba pasta (had to order this because I absolutely love Burrata! (Burrata, perfect. The mushroom sauce was so good, I could eat it by itself!!!) noodles were cooked well and it was a super great meal overall. Their tiramisu, I am absolutely obsessed with. I thought that I found the best at a different spot but this one hit different! It was not overly sweet, which I really liked (not too sweet means I can eat more of it lol) and the marscapone was so rich and creamy like ice cream. I enjoyed it so much that I was tempted to place an order for the tray so I can enjoy it at home over the span of the entire week (maybe next time!!) The restaurant was clean and there was a lot of open tables when I came for early dinner around 4 PM. There was one server and she was very attentive and super sweet :) I didn't get her name but she was very nice! She checked in often and made sure our waters were filled. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place for anyone who wants really good Italian food. My only gripe is that the parking sucks! Not to the fault of the restaurant which is why I still gave them 5 stars. The parking lot is absolutely chaotic and I wish there were more stalls.. I've walked by here a few times on my way to other spots in the same busy strip mall, have smelled their yummy cooking, and finally got a chance to try this spot the other day. Two Lunch Combos are served daily up until 4pm. We ordered one Combo A and one Combo B. Combo A = one of three pastas + bruschetta, a salad, or tiramisu. Combo B = a choice of just about any pizza (except for the two most expensive) + a tiramisu. Both are $19.50 and both are a TON of food! The veggie pasta primavera was not like any other primavera I've had before. Others can be oily and kind of boring but Aroma's version is veggies with a great orecchiette bathed in a very, very tasty pink sauce. I'd come here again for this dish alone! Bonus points for serving the pasta in a nice container which traveled well and reheated nicely. The pepperoni pizza was more conventional but we did really like the tomato sauce. Unfortunately, I'm a bread person and their crust disappointed and just didn't do it for me. Their version was flat and dense with almost no yeasty rise - though I might have had pizza on an off day as other photos here look a bit fluffier than mine. On the bright side, the crust did stay really crisp which was quite nice. Yum! This is not your ordinary strip mall eatery--in a good way. Went on a Friday night and maybe it's because other businesses were closed, but there was sufficient parking right in front of the restaurant. My friend and I shared everything and it was all delicious. Mediterranean salad was large, fresh and came with what tasted like a drizzle of balsamic reduction. We also tried a small fungi pizza. Maybe my favorite thing that night. Thin crust, flavorful dough, right amount of topping and garlicky (maybe not for date night unless you share!) For our main, we tried the night's special: risotto with porcini mushrooms, sausage, and Parmesan crisps for pups of crunchy, salty goodness. It was made when we ordered it (wasn't mushy, but creamy and al dente). Rich and delicious. Dessert was a chocolate canoli with a crisp shell. Sorry, by the time I remembered to take a picture, we ate it! The empty plate is indicative of our whole meal. We cleaned all the plates! We visited Aroma's Kapahulu location on my last trip home before grabbing açaí bowls at Health Bar, but we actually didn't make it to açaí because we were so full on pasta and pizza. My daughter and husband love pizza so much, so to give them a needed break from poke and musubis, we came here and are so glad we did. We got a mushroom pizza, margherita, and a linguine with meatballs. Everything was delicious and I was more than happy to eat my daughter's pizza crusts afterwards. Service was fine, nothing significant, which is think is quite good. If I remember the service a month later.... It's probably because it was bad. Interior is cute and vibrant and helped to give us a little more pep in our step for the rest of the day. Parking sucks, but what can ya do? I understand the comments about price, but you're in Hawaii... in the current economy... idk what you expect. If you're broke, go get your Tostino's pizza rolls on, my friend. Parking lot is small, but we've never had too much trouble finding parking. Everything we've tried over the few times we've been have been delicious. My husband tends to try different dishes every time we go, but I can't seem to stray from their La Bomba Pasta - it's literally da bomb (am I showing my age here? lol). The tiramisu is also delish! Parking is very limited, even when we visited on a weekday! We'll most likely just order take out next time since we had to find circle around two-three times for a spot. Aside from that, that food and service was delightful! Both of our main dishes were delicious; the sauces complimented the respective pasta perfectly. Now one of my favorite Italian restaurants on the island, recommended by a friend who knew the chef. I went by myself so I ordered a Mediterranean salad and a La Bomba Pizza. I ended up with plenty leftover for a second meal the next day. I'm a big fan of burrata and the La Bomba pizza did not disappoint. The pizza was perfect cooked, crispy crust on the bottom, gooey cheese, slightly crispy pepperoni, and a bed of arugula on top with an delicious balsamic drizzle.
