So we are staying in Hollywood so we can go early to Universal Studios. That way we don't have to do the drive home or rush with the crowds. We were looking for something local but good food. So we chose this establishment. No doubt a icon for many years and right next door to Paramount Studios. The menu is selective even has Greek food so cool hamburger and Mexican as well. They also have deserts and some extras in a Old school Cafe style decor you can have a crew because table for two expand. We ordered two pastrami sandwiches my wife got Greek fries, basically fries with fetta cheese on the fries. I got sweet potato fries they look burnt but they are not they are very tasty. Pastrami pass the test not salty good amount and good size sandwich. All together a great meal Counter staff very friendly and patient very sweet lady. Good food if your visiting Hollywood look this place up

If you are a vegetarian, as I have been my whole life, you always face the dilemma of where to get a healthy, meatless meal or snack when you are out running errands. I have always been leery of so-called vegetarian restaurants. Now that vegan is more common, those places actually do go to a lot of trouble to provide delicious, nutritious, animal product-free meals. But, in the past vegetarian places tended to be hit and miss. Well, if you are anywhere near an Astro Burger, you are in luck. Here you can get quite a number of meat-free dishes that are appetizing and very tasty. Add this bonus: the only vegetarian "burger" I have ever had that was edible and did not remind me of animal blood (you know the new plant burgers to which I am referring -- innovations for sure, for those who still crave the heme in blood), are the Garden Burger brand. They are rare in super markets now but Astro Burger serves them. Yay!! A deluxe Garden Burger for me, done and done! And there were other things we could have sampled too but we were in a hurry. Bonus: we asked them to substitute real cheddar cheese for the whey product termed American "cheese" (what does it say about us that we consider pressed whey to be cheese? No one in Vermont or Wisconsin does, believe me). The venue is spotless, there is easy access, parking is a snap in the rear, it is bright and cheerful, there are places to sit with big windows that lit up the restaurant even on a cloudy day, and the service was quick and friendly. And, there is a drive-thru. Astro Burger's owners have thought of everything. What's not to love?

We normally go to Astro in West Hollywood, but we now have moved closer to Koreatown This morning, we decided to try Astro next to Paramount Studios And we were surprised how much better it is than the other one To start the young man at the register, with a piercing on his left ear, who took our order and gave us the food gets an A for customer service. We gave them (2) $2 bills and told the young man one was for him. I hope he gets to keep it. The food was so much more flavorful and visually amazing The cup of water had crushed ice which was a nice surprise All the staff is amazing. We will definitely be back often.

Been coming here for 20 years. Jeez. Love the milkshake. Burger xtra cheese Fried chicken sandwich extra cheese Breakfast. A few vegetarian options are great. Can't say nothin about the shrimp quesodilla cause I don't mess with seafood. Quit trying to get me to try the seafood anywhere. Knock it off. I'm good. I'm 47. I don't need to try anything new except for alcohol and desserts that aren't too weird like pilates or whatever those small plates of desserts are called at the fancy nancy places. Staff is always friendly. Atm. Clean bathrooms. Ledge can hold phone for bathroom selfies! Has a classic old school look to it. Thank you.

5 stars for the vibes alone! This place is an extremely special gem that I hope stays the same forever... it's like I stepped into a time capsule or a film in which I'm the main character. Perfectly situated next to Paramount Studios, it's cinematically poetic. I love every little detail about this place from the vintage backlit menu to the small booths and the healthiest live plants adorning the inside. I got the LA Burger plate as recommended by the kindest staff; I especially loved their homemade sweet potato fries. Is it Michelin Star cuisine? Not exactly but for the retro diner experience I was looking for, it was perfect. I will most definitely be back.

Fries are cut in-house -- you can see the potatoes stacked by the slicer. Thin, hot, not greasy. Lightly salted and gone fast. Just fresh ingredients done right. Burger and fries for under $10 and you walk out full. This is probably my 2000th burger, and it still hits the same. An icon. The best! An LA staple. Clean, fast, consistent. I'm not getting paid to manage you, that is your MANAGER's job. I'm paying you for a service I am not getting, most of the time. This location gets my order wrong so often, I'm convinced it's by design to make the numbers look good. The manager gets away with it because ALL YOU SYCOPHANTS refuse to under-rate them when YOUR order doesn't go as planned. Most of America gets away with subpar service because a significant proportion of the Public can't be bothered to report or refuse to report so they can feel part of the In-N-Out Burger Cult. I order the same meal every time, with two fries and I only get one. They're often stale and resemble classic potato chips. I order a strawberry or vanilla shake and half of it is blended with chocolate. The burger is just meh at this point, nothing special, somewhat dry and small. But if I actually 'get my food' then at least I haven't been robbed of my money! The owner is an entitled billionaire who left the state because she didn't want to pay (literally) pocket change to the government to make our lives better. And here she is having her managers nickel and diming us to keep her profits absurdly high... I'm over it. I hope she fails. Get it together, Hollywood manager. Fix that traffic issue, fix the low quality of food preparedness, and stop ripping-off your customers who are too sycophantic to report your indiscretions. Cheers!

Very disappointing experience…read more I visited this Shake Shack on Friday around 2-3 PM, when temperatures were close to 100°F. The lobby was closed, and customers were expected to sit outside in the extreme heat. The manager informed customers that the lobby was closed but did not provide any explanation as to why as there was no construction going on and the tables were clean, with nothing wrong with them. There were children and elderly customers outside, and I was also working with an adult with autism at the time. I found it extremely concerning and unprofessional that customers were left outside in those conditions while the restaurant continued serving people. I understand that there may be operational reasons for closing the lobby, but customer safety should still be a priority, especially during extreme weather. On top of bad customer service- service was slow. A formal complaint has been reported to Shake Shack regarding this incident, and I hope management takes the matter seriously and reviews what happened at this location.

Could be the good food, could be the staff and the wonderful service they provide. Could be the clean restaurant. Or maybe all of the above. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly and helped me decide what I should order. I ended up with The Box, minus a drink. I do not drink soda, and it was too late to be drinking tea. The chicken was good, not greasy. Very moist and full of flavor. The sauce is good, like a spicy thousand island, kind of. The coleslaw was good. Packed away in a little container but really packed in.... The fries were ok. Could have been hotter, crisper, more seasoned, etc, but they were not bad. The Texas toast was ok. Light and airy, a little buttery. It did not need the toast, but it was nice for a variety of things to be nibbling on. It was a fair price for good food. The employee started taking our order, then the registers went down. After a few minutes, they appeared to come back online, but we were told they still weren't working and we needed to use the kiosk instead. We ordered at the kiosk and were handed drink cups--only to discover the ice dispenser was empty. Staff gave us ice from behind the counter, but when I went back for a refill about 20 minutes later, it was still empty and I had to ask again. On the plus side, the staff stayed upbeat and friendly despite the issues, and once the food came out, it was exactly what you expect from Raising Cane's--hot, consistent, and good. I'll still go back, but this visit felt way more complicated than a fast-food chicken stop should ever be.
