Well... I really wanted to like this place., but alas... The problems started when we got moved to the back. The back room was small and the vents for the Korean barbecue were fairly low, which made the room very loud. We were a party of six, but we could hardly hear each other. (not great when you're celebrating!) We had trouble flagging the server down. And as several people in the party had never been to Korean barbecue, we were hoping that the server would let us know " how it works there"... this also never happened. Some of the food was really great as far as the garlic, Bullgogi, The spicy Bullgogi and the apple pork . The shumai and GYOZA we're not bad. The pork belly seemed very fatty, and we didn't enjoy that and some of the appetizers were really only so-so. The small appetizer bowls of pasta were a surprise and not very good. All in all it was OK and not out of the ballpark. As a party of six, we were charged the 18% mandatory rate... Which wasn't terrible but for -as expensive as it was... We didn't feel it was worth it, and we probably will not return. I've been to other Korean barbecue places, not many, but they were above this place. I have to say that the sitting location in the back was pretty tough.... and we should've moved tables as soon as we felt it was going to be as loud as it was! Oh well... I feel so confused writing this review because, despite not loving their meat, I really liked this place and would absolutely go back! The thing is, their sides are awesome and the frozen yogurt is the best! It's the Asian yogurt flavor I miss from Korea. Also, our server was amazing. I wish they had nametags because she was literally the best. I recommend: Kimchi fried rice Korean miso soup Steamed egg Don't recommend: Spicy pork belly Meat-wise, we ordered the spicy pork belly, galbi, beef steak, and rosemary garlic chicken. I chose this place for a birthday celebration because I had a wonderful time there a couple of years ago. This time was not a wonderful time. We were 11 people. Some of the people had never had Korean barbecue before. I had ordered food for them. The waiter took our order. However, we had many items missing. When I looked for the waiter, I couldn't find him. I asked a female server for something, and she said, "your waiter will get that for you." Again, I could not find him. Another waiter came by. I asked if he was our new waiter. He stated, "we are all your waiters." I guess the waitress before didn't realize that.. We were low on utensils. One person in our party asked for a fork. The waiter said that they were in the metal container. She said she couldn't find it. His response was, "You didn't look good enough!" Since we were a large party, I thought that we would receive attentive service. We had horrible service! We had to ask for things such as extra banchan several times. Nothing was suggested or offered....not even kimchi! I asked for kimchi twice. Finally, the waiter brought out one small dish for 11 people. Ten minutes later I asked him for another one, and he disappeared for a long time again. Considering the fact that our bill was over $600 and the waiter received a $89 tip (included), I thought that there may be more attentive and friendly service. There are better Korean barbecue restaurants that will make you feel welcome. This place was disappointing.. I do not recommend AYCE Gogi. I will not have any other birthday parties there. read more

Service is inconsistent- often light staffed for the almost daily high volume of customers. I usually try to go early to beat the crowd , but often run into inadequate staffing until their golden hours. The atmosphere is More like a diner meets sports bar. I didn't eat here bit it did smell good. I didn't drink here but they had some crafts on tap and a selection of saki and soju. But I did come to play pinball. They have 8 in the front and another 20 or so in the back bar area. Machines are great and I had no problems with ANY I played (well except the Deadpool machine the right flipper stuck but seemed it was from grubby hands and a quick wipe fixed it). A ton of new and modern machines. I hadnt played many captain Jack machines and they have 6 of them. Also machines are 50 to 75 cents abd cheaper than anyplace I have been too. All machines have low points to special so if you know what you are doing you can play for a while. 5 bucks and I played almost 2 hours. Love this place. Service : Our first time going was amazing due to the waiter being amazing and informing is what is recommended for first timers! However this second time the waiter was slow, didn't know any good recommendations. Therefore, the waiter can make or break your experience. It was my first here and this place really exceeded my expectations. COVID-19 Precautions -As of our visit they are open for socially distanced dine-in. Due to the limited capacity there was a 30 minute wait when we got there at 5pm. You check-in at the counter and they'll send you a text when your table is ready. -The tables are separated by plastic shields and all the staff wears appropriate PPE -There is a 90 minute dine in limit The service was great, I never needed to ask for refills on side dishes or drinks as someone would check in at our table regularly! We came here previously on a very busy night but due to circumstances, the wait was too long. Today was a different story. Had time to kill, and stomachs to feed just before 6pm. We called ahead on a Thursday and there was no wait so we raced over. Table for 2 right away. Clean, fast service, friendly staff and they brought out all the food quite quickly. Our burner had issues early into the meal which wasn't the servers fault. They tried fixing it but after a fail, moved us right away to a new table. Very quickly and smoothly handled. Second table had no burner issues. Great portions, great meat, rice paper was in good amounts. Only slight downside is the salad is very plain but it fills as a nice compliment to everything else. $36.99 per person for dinner session all you can eat for 90 mins isn't too bad for how good and quick they were. Our FAVORITE. We have tried other places for the past 6-8 years, but we always come back here. Service is usually really fast- but then again, we go right when they open to beat the lunch rush. In the past I would have rated AYCE Gogi five stars but sadly what differentiated this place did not exist during my last visit; the service. My husband and I came in on a Wednesday afternoon, it was not crowded at all or too busy. The food is delicious and fresh! The flavors they use are literally the best. 10/10 I recommend the spicy pork belly, spicy bugolgi and the garlic noodles the sides are bomb (and different from the regular Korean bbq spots we go to) we ate them all up before the meats were even ready lol but they bring you more upon request with no problem at all.
