The service was very good. Took my mom here for a late mother's day and she was impressed. I like that they have crawfish. And mussels and clams. Their baby crabs are Much fresher than all the other hot pot places ive been too. Our server last night was sweet. Nice.. Thoughful and never got stressed. Although they dont have huge buffet section, i appreciate that they have enough of a selection for me to leave happy. I appreciated that they have meats that no other hotpot has. More adventurous meats I would say. Ive been eating japanese and korean hotpot for so long. As a vietnamese person, I love that they had beef stomach, bitter melon, tripe and that fatty beef cut at their buffet section that is usually in pho. I like that they are vietnamese and they know not to put too much food at the buffet at a time, which means, it isnt just sitting there all day. Their hot sauce collection is actually fire. and you have to try their XO sauce !! Their selection of different broths is larger than most places and isnt overly salty. I love that I couldnt even see the white rice or find it. And I love that they only really have tiny or small amount of noodles serving as if they know asians are going to try and stay away from the carbs until the end like asians do. lol. Out of the 10 hotpot places Ive been too between o.c. and l.a...... bo ne nabe is toe to toe with all that shabu" in irvine. I will return when I want to do vietnamese. hotpot. Was going to gatekeep but my judgey vietnamese mom and I left very happy. Good selection of beer and sake and soju as well... if I come during happy hour, im going to get in trouble with their free beer special. LOL. So happy we landed here

Good small seafood selection. Reasonable price for hot pot. Nice decor and clean inside. Service was a bit slow with only one person for lunch hour. But otherwise everything was tasty.

I feel like the past year or so has been quite a journey for seeking out the most affordable all-you-can eat hot pots that have a reasonable Lunch Special. I started out with these places: Shabuya $20.99 House of Shabu $21.99 Avenue Shabu $23.99 All That Shabu $29.99 (!!) Bo No Nabe blew them all out of the water with their 19.99 lunch special! I especially love that they offer Szechuan broth, which is my favorite hot pot flavor. It was perfectly seasoned - not too spicy, not too salty, just really flavorful. They also had the meats I usually go for, like pork belly and toro, so I was happy right away. They have a small seafood, veggie, and sauce bar, but it had everything I wanted, so no complaints there. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a cozy atmosphere. The hot pot burners are separate units instead of built into the tables, which I actually didn't mind at all. Overall, delicious food, friendly service, and plenty of parking. And with the lowest price I have found so far - definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Came back after last time I had good experience but this time it's odd. The broth doesnt taste like last time..flavor was lacking and I did tell the server, she added some more "crab" flavor in but still lacking. Last time we had 6 plates of meat, thjs time 9 plates and the server was not happy with it. Maybe it's the last time I come here again.. $33 per person add $10 more for 2 more broth. Came out nearly $100 (with tip) I think 9 plates of meat is not a problem? And how much customer eat is a problem? I don't think so.

Nice new hot pot place in garden grove. Great deal on the lunch special which comes with 5 different meat selections, seafood and salad bar. Bonus on the dessert bar as well! Staff was also very kind and attentive.

Very disappointing experience. We visited around lunchtime, and my wife, who is pregnant, noticed a strange taste in the meat. I tried it as well and found it had an unpleasant smell and aftertaste. We attempted to explain the issue to our server, but it seemed there was a language barrier, and our concern was not clearly understood. We asked if the dish could be replaced, but no action was taken. After waiting about 10-15 minutes without any resolution, we decided to leave as we had lost our appetite. I still paid the bill with a tip, but I believe a manager should have stepped in to assist and address the situation properly. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing.

Cute little restaurant with a great lunch deal. $20 for ayce lunch shabu. All the broths kind of tasted the same so I can't comment but the sauce bar was pretty stocked and had a little bit of everything. Service was quick and efficient, ambiance was festive for the new years. I liked that they had some sweet things on the side for dessert like fruit and coconut jelly. The meat was solid, for $20 bucks u can't beat it.

So we wanted seafood buffet tonight but my husband didn't want to drive all the way to Fullerton. We did a Yelp search and after about 30 minutes of calling around, we decided to try this restaurant out. The place is small and appears to be family-owned. We went with Combo A since we don't eat much and that was plenty for us. It's about $25 per person before tax and tips. Although you can get up to 5 cuts of meat/protein, we didn't want anything other than the eye round beef. The sliced chicken was dark meat chicken so I didn't want any. My husband had a few slices of it. We told the server we didn't want the pork belly nor the el toro beef (too fatty for us). The seafood and vegetables bar was plentiful. It had all the greens and veggies that I like (taro, squash, bamboo shoots, mushroom varieties, etc.), in addition to the fish, shrimp, clams, fish balls, fish tofu, egg, so that's plenty to choose from. Pay for what you eat, no need to pay extra for what you don't want. I really like their mixed jello dessert drink. The jello has the perfect firmness. Service was good. But the girl that served us never came back to offer us more meat after the first round (although we didn't really want more). The guy (owner?) came by to pick up the dirty dishes and asked if we wanted more meat. Told him maybe a couple slices of the lean beef but we didn't want a whole plate. So he brought out two thin, large pieces of beef, which was perfect. Overall, it was good, nothing fancy as other shabu places I've been too, but that was fine for me because that's all I wanted to eat and there was more than enough.

Love this place! My new favorite hot pot. Their broth options taste better than other places and they have a lot of sauce options. Their veggie options aren't as good as other places but I'll take great broth and sauces over that. They also have a grass jelly dessert and hot tea included. Definitely recommend!

Vietnamese hot pot? Love it! For dinner for the cheapest price is 25$ and having a choice of 5 meats for ACYE. I didn't need the fancy meats - I just need good broth, veggies and meat! The star of the show here is having chao as a sauce choice!! I grew up eating chao and have never seen any restaurants have this option as a sauce. Service was good - they are attentive and friendly. We tried the tom yum and yamaki broth - highly recommend!!

This is a solid Viet hot pot spot in OC! We ordered Combo B and it was honestly the perfect amount, great variety without feeling overwhelming. The AYCE bar is convenient with fresh veggies, seafood, noodles, and a full sauce station so you can customize everything exactly how you like it. I really like how it wasn't overly crowded like other hotpot spots (we came on a Saturday evening too). Everything was pretty clean, some ingredients were well stocked while others had to be replenished. The broth paired so well with the meats from Combo B, and I really liked the tom yum broth because it was tangy! The balance of flavors made every bite comforting and satisfying. It's the kind of place that works for casual dinners, group hangouts, or when you're just craving something warm and cozy.

First time here. This place has a happy hour lunch special for under $20. You get your choice of broth, meats, and veggies. They sevrice they provide is okay. It does get busy here so you should come in early. They have plenty of tables and can accommodate larger groups.

I'm the typical hot pot type of person that goes to Broth is what I want to start off by saying but today my wife was sick and wanted to try something near so we branched away from our usual. Broth has variety while broth is limited regardless of that don't let it deter you from coming here because for the price, you're getting a fair amount of choices. We opted for combo A because we mainly like beef and it was pretty good for the price. (Side note if you pay cash or Zelle, they give you a 10% discount) I forgot to take pictures of the sides bar, but they had a pretty good variety there too from shrimp, beef/fish balls, lettuce, cabbage, mushrooms, different sauces etc. I want to give a big shoutout to our server Nhien who was attentive to us because as the saying goes, You can always order more and not order less (they add a 15% Surcharge for wasted food) because me and my wife were ordering maybe 2-3 plates of meat every time she visit and I for sure ate about 10 plates. So once again, thanks for your patience and attentiveness. Im going to give it a 5 because I was happy but initially opted to give it a 4 because it didn't have the variety I wanted such as kaarage or rice but I was happy and won't dock it from them.

The broth was super tasty. The oxtail cooked well. The noodles were in my opinion too soft. That's fine, my granddaughter likes him a little soft. The service was service, not bad or good. Long time diner, first time reviewer…read more I've always loved Grandpa's Kitchen, maybe because of the sweet name that makes me think of my own grandpa. They have one of the best egg noodle soups around. The broth is perfectly balanced and well seasoned, the egg noodle is well made, with generous toppings. The dry version of the egg noodle is equally delicious. You can't go wrong with either selection. I'm always surprised at their affordable prices. These days you can't really get a good bowl of noodle soup for under $18-$20. Here you can get a solid bowl for just $8 during happy hour! Whaaat?! Crazy! That is such a great price that I almost feel like I'm robbing them. LOL. During this recent visit, I wasn't too hungry so I just got a small bowl of wonton soup for just $7. It comes with 5 pieces of wontons. The only disappointing thing was that it doesn't come with one of my favorite toppings - tóc mỡ. It would've cost $2 to add it. I really wish they did include it. I also got some grilled pork skewers. Though a little soft, they were pretty delicious - nicely seasoned, flavorful, and make a great appetizer. I also love that they're open late - till 11PM!

Service chill, can pay at register in the front, like typical viet restaraunt where they kinda leave you to it. The Grandpa's noodles was good (a dryer noodle), great portion, meat was tender, the radish cube looking things was crispy bits of pork skin. The menu is unique here and mostly in vietnamese. I think I had wished for some sauce to go with the noodles (but I understand its mostly with the soup on the side), good tightness of the meatballs :D... They have the classic condiments on the side, the pickled garlic isn't very crunchy and kind of on the sweet side, the pickled chili does have that slight acidic kick that works well. I modified my noodle to egg for a dollar. The soup was good, on the more umami soy/beef side than clear. The wontons were abundant too, instead of a chili oil the sauce is more like a tangy sweet chili vinegrette thing. My accompaniment got a garlic noodle soup (fried garlic oil) that was rich and also in a huge bowl. For the price and portion its a hidden gem for someone who needs to feed a family. Not like gourmet, but good enough! Omg, also I missed the corn milk :((
