This is my go-to coffee shop in Lincoln Heights. Say what you want about finding a place like this in Lincoln Heights, but it's a great place to have some great coffee and get work done. I come here about 3 times a week in the morning and am always greeted by a friendly and caffeinated staff. The place rarely gets full during the weekday, so it's a wonderful place to set up shop for hours on end. I always switch between their pour-overs, cold brew, and americanos. The elote avocado toast (w/o mayo) is my favorite breakfast dish. Their avocado spread tastes so fresh and they pack on the ingredients. Their breakfast sandwich is a little dull and bland, but their 3-egg kale scramble is a tasty alternative whenever I feel like switching it up. There's plenty of room downstairs, and even more room upstairs in the loft. Lots of plugs as well. There's street meter parking only, but here's a tip to keep just between us: park in nearby parking lots (like the S&F lot) at your own risk! $3 minimum on credit cards. read more

I also tried one of their cookies and found it to be delicious. Will be back when in the area. First time checking this place out. Three of us ordered chocolate almond latte, horchata latte, and an affogato. We tried each others' drinks and each were damn good. Too bad we just had brunch but we saw someone order the esquite avocado toast; the toast was pretty hearty and looked damn good. Definitely love the open space. Try and get a table upstairs if you love to people watch. I'd come back for brunch and use this place to study. They were pumping some 90s R&B so that's another plus. You can't forget where it is. I found this place on yelp while looking for a new coffee shop near work. It has a lot of good reviews and now I understand why! First of all the staff was very nice and attentive. I walked up in there confused because I really wanted to start off with a great drink and the cashier helped me choose one. After going back and forth with me she suggested I try the dirty chai, one of my all time favorites, so I'm super picky when it comes to that specific drink. I went with an iced dirty chai latte with soy milk. It was so good!!! Although I'm definitely coming back I knocked down a star because I felt that a little over $7 for a medium latte is a little steep. But I get it, it's a fairly new (going on 3 months), family owned joint. I've been here a couple of times, once at the actual location and the other through takeout -- ordered their breakfast croissants (AMAZEBALLS!!!) You can choose either a bagel or croissant for their breakfast sandwich, but I think the croissant is better because it's softer and goes well with their sausage. The sandwich also includes egg and it's a pretty fulfilling size for a morning meal. B24 also has unique flavors of coffee on their menu and a lot of healthy options as well. When I came here for the first time I ordered their acai bowl and it was wonderful! It had coconut shavings, blueberries, bananas, oats, and yogurt. It was also really fulfilling and able to be taken home and put in the fridge if you're not able to finish it since it comes in a plastic cover. Although they close early (4pm), it's very alive in the morning with customers doing work on their laptops or having meetings. It also has 2 floors and super spacious. Pretty lights. I found this place when I was yelping around. The Chorizo scramble had so much flavor. It was more than just Chorizo and eggs. It wasn't super greasy either. The horchata latte was good too. Came here for the first time on a Saturday morning with the family. The food took more than 20 minutes to get served because they had an issue with their printer and didn't get the order to the kitchen. There was 1 other couple in the whole place and the kitchen is like 10 ft from the register. I can't imagine it would have been hard for the apathetic girl at the register to notice we hadn't been served for 20 minutes. Yet when I went to go tell her, she was neither in any hurry or apologetic. My wife came down with our hungry toddler to complain and yet not even much of an apology from their staff or the main guy who owns it. Just a mumbled 'we're sorry' from the barista. Worst service ever. They made the food quickly after that and it wasn't even that good. Skip the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito. I get that mistakes happen, but it was really their response that disappointed me. FYI guys, you work in the service industry. I definitely won't be going back there ever again. read more

This is an official "go to" place. Great example of reliability and consistency. The coffee is well made, the food is fresh and delicious, the staff is always warm, and very kind. Let me preface this by saying they were very busy, but no one was at the counter and I was standing right in-front of them. I came into the store, and stood at the counter for about ten minutes. I know this because I only had an hour to work on my laptop and get coffee before Heading to work and I parked at a meter at 9:50. The point is that no one said anything to me, not "we will be with you in a second" or "Have you've been help?" Or anything ! I was less than an arm length away of two employees. Finally, after ten minutes, the owner finally said "are you waiting for something?" She sounded annoyed and I said "yes, I'm waiting to order." But my main go to is the jalapeño and cheese bagel with green onion cream cheese, it's so soft and crispy at the same time. The bagels here are never old and they're always fresh. I love B Twentyfour and have been a customer since they first opened. Their turkey chopped salad is my absolute favorite and I love all their lattes too. I really appreciate that they invested in Lincoln Heights years ago, and have stayed open during the pandemic, offering takeout. This place isn't terrible. The atmosphere is super cute and Instagram or Snapchat worthy (guessing that is the goal). I'm giving it 3 starts because the tea tasted more like hot water than tea..and the butter croissant I got tasted like it was a day old. I wanted to love it trust me I did. Of course we went with the avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich (either on a bagel or croissant), I mean how can you not from the pictures. We arrived for an early lunch on Sunday and it was packed! As far as presentation, its on point. That avocado toast with the over easy egg on top is almost orgasmic. It's definitely worth it for the 'Gram but the flavor .. not sure if my expectations were set too high but it was a disappointment. The corn mixture was a bit too thick, there were too many pieces of green onion, and the avocado spread was a bit bland as well. It'll be a great vegetarian dish but for my personal reference it was lacking some sort of meat. Some strips of bacon or sausage patty in that bad boy would've been more of my type. The croissant breakfast sandwich was more flavorful but unfortunately this sandwich is something I make at home. Buttered croissant with egg, bacon, and melted cheese. B Twentyfour is oddly peculiar for a coffee shop name, almost nonsensical. Until, I put my thinking cap on and realized it must stand for the fact that this shop is directly located on the corner of Broadway and 24 Ave. So boom! Think I may have solved the riddle for those of you that were busting your head over it. What brought me out to Lincoln Heights for coffee? Well, just about anything related to good coffee drives me anywhere, but here there's something more than just coffee - and no, it's not the banana or strawberry latte. That would actually be reason for me to dismiss this shop completely. It's none other than the esquite avocado toast on their menu. These types of things can be gimmicky, and often a time, end up being a complete disappointment. Thus, I showed up to put my esquite taste buds to the taste. What's my verdict? - No gimmick. They honestly did right by the esquite and the avocado toast altogether. The lightly fried egg snugly placed in between the avocado and the esquite ingredients worked well to bind all the flavors together. The toast itself was soft, opposed to other toasts which have a rough exterior. The avocado wasn't overly seasoned or mixed with other weird flavors, which only complimented the flavors coming from the corn creation. This toast is definitely a highlight for this shop, and absolutely a reason to visit. As for coffee, the program seems solid. There's something for everyone on the menu - sweet coffee drinkers and purists alike. However, had that toast not been on the menu, I don't know that I'd care enough to make the trek. Considering the fact that I know countless other shops in areas where there's much more to see and do. They serve 49th Parallel and possibly Ritual - don't quote me on that though. Two roasters you'll find on the shelves of some of the hottest shops in town. Hence, they didn't skip on serving their patrons quality stuff. From the taste of my cortado, their skills are legit too. For tea, they serve Art of Tea, well established tea company, but a little outdated. Nonetheless, it's good stuff and provides variety. The space is rather large, something I wasn't expecting for a small neighborhood shop. It has very simple décor, but not the most alluring. Either way, it serves as a great local hang out and work space, if needed. Go! And do not miss the toast, as doing so will only result in doing exactly what you can do at any other good specialty coffee shop. read more

Found this place on Yelp and had to come try the avo toast - it's absolutely fantastic! The place itself is a small little shop off of Broadway that makes for a cool work/eat spot. Outlets at every seat and quick service. We got the avo toast, a piece of chocolate chip banana bread that was like, two inches thick, hot tea and one of their new ice blended drinks.
