I love love love baba! Their food is so unique and delicious. I've been to baba a few times there and I always leave full and happy! I usually order a drink when I stop in and their use of rose always amazes me! Their desserts are perfect, not too sweet. If you're wanting to try a restaurant that's different than any other in Spokane, I suggest you make a reservation :) their staff is quite lovely as well! Last time I went in, I noticed a drink that I wanted was no longer on the menu and our waitress was so kind to get the recipe for me. Excellent food, great atmosphere. Had a lovely evening. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations.

Firstly the ambiance and service was nice. Love the decor and we were so excited about the interesting menu. Turkish coffee was served in adorable tiny shot glasses/cups on a tray but at $14 for two shots of espresso it wasn't worth it. Plus it wasn't as strong or thick as it should be. The whipped feta appetizer was delicious! Only bummer is that for $18 you get ONE super flat & thin pita. We ordered a 2nd one to finish the dip and was charged $5.50 for ONE pita!! I ordered the mushroom gyro with the smashed potatoes. I can't tell you how disappointed I was with every aspect of the meal. The mushrooms were slimy, the rest was a medley of veggies that had different sauced & flavors and didn't go together at all. The mushrooms especially were horrible- and I'm a huge fan of mushrooms. The potatoes were just three small not quite fully boiled potatoes. No sauce, just hard potatoes. Yuck. For $20 My son got the chicken gyros and there was barely any chicken in it and it was very plain. I've got much larger gyros from Pita Pit with more flavor and way more ingredients for far less money. Again, $20... Fries were good, very tasty and crispy. My mom got the feta mac & cheese and it was tasty. Came out piping hot and very creamy. The pistachios on the top were an interesting addition that she enjoyed. My son ordered a cherry limeade that was delicious. All together this lunch was $111 before tip and only one person was satisfied with their meal- tho we did all enjoy the appetizer. read more

This was my first time here after being recommended by a friend. She was right, they have the best fresh pita! The baba bowl was nice, full of colors and flavors. We had their brunch menu but I'd definitely come back for lunch or dinner. We did order a fourth entree which did take quite a bit of time, but was ultimately alright. Second time coming here and it was phenomenal. Their mocktails and cocktails are amazing. I highly recommend getting family style as the staff recommend since there are so many amazing things to try. If I could rate it higher then a 5/5 I would! The chefs need a raise cuz holy smokes the food is TO DIE FOR. We stopped into Baba during the night market and sat on the patio. What a beautiful evening it was, great spot for people watching! We ordered a couple drinks, I had the Z'atar Old Fashioned and it was incredibly delicious, love the brûléed orange, such a fun touch! Also tried the mushroom and chicken kabob, both were so different from a flavor palate perspective, two beautiful plates of food and extremely tasty. I came here during their happy hour (3pm-5pm daily) which includes $8 cocktails (normally $11), $4 draft beers, and $6 wine glasses. There's 90 minute street parking until 6pm all throughout the area although I don't know how strict they are in enforcing it. My first drink was the za'atar old fashioned which was mainly orange-y and spicy from the bitters. The extra orange notes came from the bruleed orange and overall was smooth. I was told by the bartender that they use all spice dram and blood orange liqueur. My second drink was the tamarind sour and the tamarind really comes through in the drink to make it tart. My third drink was the brunchkin which has an interesting combination of ingredients and was fruity and sweeter than the first two drinks. If you've ever had a calpico, this tastes like an adult version of it. I also ordered the feta garlic bread ($5) which was not what I expected in terms of garlic bread. Instead of the typical minced garlic spread on top it's chunks of softened garlic with mac sauce. The bread isn't crispy because of the sauce; it's closer to bread with mac sauce with hints of garlic and was just okay. Overall the drinks were good and they have a lot of good options for their happy hour. read more

Service was quick and easy, we were seated immediately and the host was our waiter and bartender as well - for a one man show he was so composed and really made us feel seen. Food was so amazing! Our server was super helpful and kind, the ambiance was fun (though it was quite hot inside), and there were some dishes our group liked and some we didn't like quite as much. We enjoyed the mezze platter which had yummy dips and some pita bread . I loved the roasted cauliflower which was seasoned well with things like tahini and had added peppers on top. My husband liked the lamb platter and rice, though I thought some parts of the lamb were a bit fatty. Also, the falafel was a fun experience--I'd never had that before. The only thing I really wouldn't recommend is the eggplant fries. They were very greasy--but maybe eggplant just isn't my thing. My definite order again would be the cauliflower. Tried their Shakshuka and I must admit being a shakshuka lover this is the best one at Baba I have ever had! Shakshuka was so flavorful and well done. Their mushroom hummus was mindblowing. The mushroom souvlaki was the best dish I ever had. So healthy and yet so flavorful and filling. The quantity served here are quite large. Although I really miss the Wandering Table (and the awesome curried cauliflower they used to serve!) I love this new addition to Kendall Yards and Adam Hegsted's family of restaurants. Mediterranean food is sorely lacking in Spokane, so I love that there is a restaurant to help fill this void in E WA. Their Baba Ghanoush is fantastic, but I really wanted to try the whipped feta with honey, so the server suggested the Mezze plate with comes with both of those plus hummus, tzatziki, and house-made fresh pickles. And of course the house-made fresh pita which is so delish! Next we ordered the kofta kebabs, the Turkish Mac n' Cheese and the baklava for dessert. The kabobs were so good, especially with the pomegranate molasses, feta and fresh herbs that come with the grilled meat and couscous. The Mac and cheese is pure comfort food, and rich. The baklava was good, but was mostly just layers of phyllo with little filling. I prefer my baklava to have more nuts. On past visits I've had the chicken skewers and falafel, both also very good! On my next visit I want to try the roasted carrot couscous, the table next to us ordered it and it looked great. Came here for a bachelorette party dinner and it did not disappoint! To be honest I wasn't quite sure what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised! Omg the fried bread, macaroni and cheese, sample plate, the baklava were sooooooooo freaking amazing. I have not stopped thinking about the food yet. Haha. I also had a white wine sangria.
