OMG! Rarely does a dish do it for me like these eggplant fries rom Baba's. They take eggplant, use it as a canvas for flavor and texture, and brought ours out hot. Garlicky, salty, w tang from the peppers, touches of spice, just a hint of sweetness. These are really good. So is the stuffed pita. Hot pillowy dough and tasty meat filling - this is comfort food. Like snuggling under your favorite comforter w your favorite person comfortable. Seriously. Did not like the smoked skewered chicken though it was going to be really tough to follow either of the above. The rubbery looking chicken was served cold, atop cold barley? w various mix ins ranging from mint to raisins in a mayo? Based dressing? w half the plate covered by mayo (aioli?) and a sweet sauce. Take this review with a grain of salt. I'm generally not a fan of Mediterranean food. I don't seek it out, and I've never had something so outstanding as to challenge this long held opinion. Still, as we are all dynamic and ever-evolving human beings, I'll venture every so often to revisit my long-standing preferences and, in this case, have them re-confirmed. It's fine. Portions are small and you'll want to eat again in 2 - 3 hours. Burger was great but WET and the fries were honestly the best part. Outstanding french fries go figure. Whipped feta w pita was yummy. Deviled eggs had me scratching my head; did not work well IMHO. Go during happy hour and enjoy food when it's relatively cheap. Drinks are batshit expensive at any hour but tasty if your wealthy uncle is buying. Service was attentive but none-too-friendly, which I had to try not to read as pretention. read more

First visit here, and the food was amazing. I'm sad it's taken me so long to try this place. We ordered the hummus to start, and it was fantastic. Had a small plate of the warmed olives, which was delicious. For our entrees we had Falafel and Kofta Kebab, which were both very tasty. The deserts were AMAZING- we ordered 2, the Lebanese Ice Cream and the coffee crème custard, which was so incredibly delicious. Great cocktail menu also- everything sounded so good, and it was hard to pick what to try, but I had the smoky mezcal drink which was great. Service was great, food great, ambiance great. Where do I even begin?! Food-wise, this might be my new favorite restaurant in Spokane. I got a peek inside the restaurant while picking up my order and it has a nice ambience. All the dishes I got were packed neatly into boxes and traveled well. They took about 30 min to prepare my order. I ordered the baba ghanoush, pan seared falafel, ribeye steak skewers, and lamb shank tagine. Everything tasted INCREDIBLE. The baba ghanoush had this really nice lemon-y tang to it and came with the most fluffy pita I have ever seen. My only complaint is that I wish it came in bigger portions! The falafel were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ribeye skewers were equally delicious. They came with potatoes that were also perfectly crispy yet so soft on the inside. And the lamb... cooked perfectly and overall just an amazing dish. So impressed with this place and can't wait to go back! read more

First off, this place has a really great atmosphere. The decor, lights, seating were all really awesome. Our service was great too. Everyone was super friendly and helpful as we checked out the menu. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed everything we got. They even had a Chai Old Fashioned that was probably one of the best drinks I've ever had. It was a bit speedy, a lot more than we had planned for our date night, but that's what we get with the Chai Old Fashioned I suppose. Overall, we'll probably come back. Had to bring the husband to try out Baba. Just happened to get there for happy hour. I just love how this restaurant reminds me of a lazy day in Europe, eating on the patio, without pressure from waiters. I had the roasted strawberry tabouli and the baba burger, the husband had the clam and lamb with a glass of rosé. After stealing my fries, he said "Moules-frites!" Close enough! I love Baba's interpretation of American comfort food especially how it marries with Mediterranean cuisine. read more

Me and my loved ones came here for my graduation dinner and everything was great, from the ambiance to the service and the attention to detail. We all ordered different things so we can all share and have a bit of everything and absolutely nothing disappointed. Their Turkish Mac N' Cheese was to die for and their potatoes were immaculate. I'm a big foodie so I vouch for them when I say everything was great. I ordered the lamb and the sauce was great, worth every cent. I'll definitely will be coming in again for the Mac N' Cheese alone. Definitely recommend. All I can say is WOW! My husband and I went to Baba wanting to try something new for dinner and we were blown away. This upscale spot was perfect for date night or with family or friends. We ordered the eggplant fries, the Sirloin Skewer, and the Baba Burger. All were delicious and perfectly cooked, the sauces and tastes were perfectly balanced and the food was hot and arrived pretty quickly. Prices mid level and reasonable, the burger and fries being $15. They were really busy so it took a little bit to be seated but totally worth the wait and friendly service. Looking for a dinner spot after our stroll through the Riverfront Park, we decided on Baba as we haven't had Mediterranean food in a while and this was close by. There was no wait on a Thursday night around 8pm. We ordered a lamb dish and the Turkish Mac and Cheese. The lamb dish was delicious - very flavorful but a little bit on the saltier side. The Turkish Mac and Cheese was also good but nothing out of the ordinary imo. We didn't order any drinks but they had some interesting looking drinks on their cocktail menu. read more

Our party shared all of the dishes and there was plenty to go around. Large portion sizes and delicious food all around. Price was modest as well! So I am going to start off by saying that I placed an order through grubhub and the food that I received, that I ordered was delish. The only problem is that the order came wrong. I ordered the cauliflower schnitzel sandwich, the crispy falafel and the fatoush salad. I ordered all sauces on the side because I planned to eat it later on an airplane. The sandwich was great as well as the smashed potatoes on the side! The two sauces that should have been on it came on the side like I requested. I did eat half the sandwich right away and it was great! The falafel was also so good! But It came with no sauces. So that was a bit of a disappointment. I asked for them to also be on the side so the falafel would not become soggy and instead they just came with none. Lastly I ordered a fatoush salad that I was looking the most forward to but they sent the freekah salad. It was the salad with grains, pistachios and some other things that was not good in my opinion. Looked like a bunch of mush, needed salt and was not what I was looking for! I would love to try the fatoush salad the next time I am here if they can send it correctly! Overall what I received was great! And the grub hub driver said they were so busy and only had one cook at the time. So I understand being short staffed during Covid, I just wish I received what I ordered! read more

Stopped by with a group of friends for appetizers and drinks. We were promptly seated. We liked sharing the small plates. Food was tasty and we appreciated that there were vegan options. Plenty of drink selections. The restaurant was not full, but our server made very few appearances. We would have ordered more food and drinks, if we had been checked on more often. This place was a revelation! Every small dish was thoughtfully and creatively made. The warm olives plate with garlic, almond, and lemon was decadently rich, especially on that house-made warm pita bread. I really enjoyed the fluffy honey whipped feta plate, also spreadable on pita. Their grilled salmon kebab was so tender and beautifully cooked. The African peanut soup was just the right combination of sweet and salty, though less soupy and more paste-like. Overall, the food was just spectacular! The space was upgraded and clean and the Mediterranean themed wall murals were very pretty. Fantastic new addition in Kendall Yards! Visited a few weeks ago with some friends and got to sit outside on the patio under the string lights - made for such a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. We tried multiple items on the menu and ate "family style" and I could not recommend this enough. With the variety of different food options offered, all of which sounded delicious, ordering multiple dishes gave everyone the chance to try new dishes! Loved the falafel and meatballs - tons of flavor and the paired tzatziki sauce was creamy and had a plethora of herbs. If Baba Ganoush came out of a jar, I think this is what it would taste like. This is the saltiest restaurant I've eaten so far in Spokane with large specks of salt on top of everything. I understand that this is first and foremost a bar so salt makes the beer go down better, but I think serving a salt level to the patrons would've been nice (no salt? dash salt? regular chunky salt?). Fried chicken did not entail much fried chicken but actually chicken skin. ----yes, just chicken skin. I was searching for my chicken meat all night and it could not be found. Came here for appetizers/drinks after visiting a nearby winery. I'd love to come back for a full meal, I am very intrigued by their menu. I ordered the cucumber-elderflower gimlet. It was great and fresh! For the appetizer, I ordered the crispy falafel with the cucumber salad. It was tasty! Very garlicy so bring a breath mint. It felt like plenty of food for the price. Something to note for vegans/dairy free people: there is a lot of things on there menu that are marked vegan but...I'm pretty sure aren't. My falafel dish had tzatziki sauce for example and I don't think it was dairy free yogurt. Several of the menu items were marked vegan but say they have labneh on it which I looked it up and that's a strained yogurt. I didn't ask--my bad--but I did notice it. read more
