Meatballs

We come to Babbo's often. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is on the smaller side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bread and olive oil held us over until our food came out. I got meatballs in the tomato cream sauce. Their meatballs are huge and full of flavor. The tomato cream sauce is a perfect mix of cream and tomato sauce. The service is usually decent.

Lunch special - 1/2 salad and 1/2 Pizza OR Pasta

Still one of my favorite local Italian restaurants in Chesterfield! Reasonably priced (given all dine-out meals have increased in costs), tasty dishes and menu variety, excellent quality and generous portion sizes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always get smiling and friendly service, plus the ambience is relaxed, casual and open (acoustics slightly loud).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All in all, a solid 4.0+ experience; expect to pay $17-25 for an entree (many are shareable if lighter appetites), plus any apps, salads and drinks. No reservations, first come seating and limited bar to wine and beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good for families or date nite out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Importantly, you won't go wrong with anything on their menu! My "go-to's" are the house-made Lasagna (enough for 2), Neapolitan Pizzas, and Caesar salad. Check their daily Specials, and of course Risotto, Tutto Mare, Bolognese, Eggplant Parmigiana (starter) are also delicious! And if you come for lunch, they have a great 1/2 & 1/2 special - so get your choice of Salad and a Pasta dish, Salad and Pizza, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For me, Babbo's has been one of the most consistent and excellent dining spots in the Valley with a relaxed vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoy!!!

Not sure about the name but this place is amazing. Excellent service. Incredible food, fast fresh and delicious. Fresh bread with olive oil. The best bruschetta I've ever had anywhere, stacked with fresh tomatoes bruschetta stuff, really delicious. My risotto steaming hot fresh and excellent flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dinner meeting with friend/customer and the perfect place to have a great meal and all conversation between long time relationships.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love this place

We were visiting and looking for something nearby. Babbo's had good reviews and we decided to try it. It was not very busy and we got right in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were all pleased with our meals. It tasted fresh and full of flavor.

Great authentic Italian restaurant with delicious food & quality ingredients. The server was friendly & informative with a joyful demeanor that made dining fun. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was kind of Frank Sinatra cool and every time we visit there are business people having lunch meetings and ladies having luncheons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The portions are large & even the lunch 1/2 lasagna & 1/2 salad are enough for 2 meals.

Veil Milanese

Great food. I got the veil Milanese which was one of the specials when I went it was very tender, the veggies were well prepared and the flavors worked well together. It was a nice open layout with big windows and created an enjoyable atmosphere. Our server was very kind and attentive. The people in general there are fantastic. We had a gift card that was super old and the manager still let us use most of it anyway. They used to have a Columbia location and my family and I were regulars there. I don't know if it's the fact that prices are going up in general or just the switch from Columbia to St Louis but the prices were a little more than I remember, nothing out of reason though.

I got the Neopolitan funghi pizza after asking the waiter what he recommended between the mushroom pasta or pizza. It came out and I was like, wuuut. I guess it was a St. Louis style pizza but the menu did not say that it was. It was just mushrooms, whole cloves of garlic, and cheese on some cracker thin crust. Would not get again. Would def get the pasta next time if I ever came back. Glad I only got a half order of the pizza. It was $13 before tax and tip.

Excellent establishment. Very attractive and simple with some white table cloths and some without. Our group of 6 was taken to a fine round table with a server who was really on her game. Can't really pick on anything here so get yourself together and come for a wonderful Italian experience of food and wine. The Del Pietro family hits it out of the park.

The pizza was pretty good but the Alfredo sauce on our pasta was thin and runny. Disappointing for such a hopping busy place.

Delicious as usual. Only downside was the missing dipping oil/vinegar for the bread on carry out.

Despite all of this activity next door, the restaurant is unaffected, both in access, parking, and view. Despite being near the highway, the view from a booth is not bad, with some rolling hills in the distance. The service was timely and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. The interior has a dark steakhouse feel with a lot of wood materials and the edges of whiskey barrels on the wall as decoration. A great environment to unwind, have a drink, and fully enjoy the meal. The food itself was exactly as ordered; a medium-rare ribeye with creamy risotto and broccolini. I don't frequent steakhouses very often, so I may or may not be back for that reason alone. It did make for a pleasant and memorable birthday dinner!

Our server was very attentive and did a great job taking care of our group. The only hiccup during the visit was timing--we arrived shortly after a busload of guests, which slowed down the kitchen a bit and led to a longer wait for our food. That said, the service remained strong throughout. For lunch, I ordered the combo with a Green Apple Cashew salad and the 1/2 World Traveler Reuben, made with house-smoked turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Thai Thousand Island, and black Russian pumpernickel. Both the salad and sandwich really hit the spot--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. This was my eighth visit over the past three years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. Even with the slight delay this time, the consistency in food quality and service keeps me coming back.

The crispy shrimp lettuce wraps with cashew sauce...AMAZING! Pork chop was delicious and so was the crab, shrimp &!lobster bisque. I also enjoyed their Ceasar salad and loved that the dressing was different (not your usual anchovy base...thank goodness) Star of the show was definitely the pear drop martini. Highly addictive. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark. The short rib risotto was swimming in gravy and under-seasoned, and the potstickers weren't up to their usual standard. They had much less slaw than normal, and the texture felt overcooked and tougher than expected. That said, our server, the margarita, Nightjar Old Fashioned, barbacoa quesadillas, and tempura were all excellent. What surprised me most, was walking into both the tasting room / restaurant entrance and seeing it filled with boxes and inventory. I've never seen that at a CH property before. It made for a poor first impression here, and really took away from the overall experience. It left me wondering why management hasn't found a better way to handle inventory before service or keep it out of guest-facing spaces.

Stevie was my server that night and she provided friendly top notch service. I ordered a spicy margarita for my cocktail. I was a little disappointed with the drink. It was very cucumber forward, had a nice heat, but lacked that signature lime flavor and tartness required of a good margarita. The brussel sprouts and cheese grits were a must try for me. The pork chop was the perfect entree to accompany these sides. The brussel sprouts were charred and crispy. The balsamic glaze paired nicely with the charred flavor. The pork chop is served in a very generous portion juicy and tender. The citrus sauce paired nicely with the pork. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. All in all a delightful meal. The portions were generous enough for me to have hearty meal of leftovers the next day. The menu is fairly concise with burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, beer/pork/chicken entrees, and salads. They have something for just about everyone. The appetizer menu offers loaded brussel sprouts with bacon balsamic and feta. This would have been too much to tackle by myself. I plan on bringing my friends next time to share this dish.

Bar service was great, table service was lacking. We started with a few drinks (margaritas) and they were quite good. For an app, we got the wings with firefly sauce, the sauce was really good and the wings were cooked perfect. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Worth a try if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
