Delicious gelato place with several choices for flavors . I ordered their blueberry & ricotta gelato and it was absolutely the highlight of my month. It is a seasonal flavor so make sure to stop by and try it! The employees there are super helpful, beautiful interior. I would love to try their affogato next time around.

One of my favorite places to come to for dessert after having dinner in Sawtelle! They have a variety of different flavors ranging from sweet and fruity. The gelato itself is rich and flavorful. They have a variety of sizes and offer both cone and cup. The smallest is piccolo which you can get two flavors. You're able to get up to three flavors with the regular size. My go to flavors are strawberry and raspberry, it's perfectly refreshing, fruity, and delicious. Not too heavy which I appreciate! The store itself is clean, bright, and cute. The service has always been amazing every time I've been with friendly staff who offer samples and give insight. They have plenty of seating outdoors! Love that they also sell pre packaged pints that you can take home! Parking can get a bit tricky and there is street parking.

Okay this is a high end ice cream I would say! Lots of flavors and really tasteful The decor they did fits the high end theme as well

Such a cute, aesthetic spot for a sweet treat! The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Since it was my first time, they were kind enough to offer samples because they have so many flavors to choose from. I tried quite a few, and honestly all of them were delicious, which made it really hard to pick just one. They also offer cookies and brownies. The cookie I tried was thin and crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely recommend stopping by for dessert.

food: I got the Picolo cup, which lets you get two flavors max. overall, similar to gelato in tally but not 100% the same smoothness. 9/10. - strawberry super latte: if you love strawberry and fruity flavors, this one is for you. It was refreshing and light. - hazelnut: if you love hazelnut, then you have to get this! It is a very strong flavor, a little bit chocolatey too. You won't regret getting this. If you're borderline of the biggest fan of nuts and or chocolate, then this might be overpowering for you. service: the server was very nice and let me try as many flavors as I wanted. I tried about five or six. ambiance: it feels energizing and aesthetic in there through a seating outside but on a Friday night it definitely got too busy to sit there so I ended up just walking around in the area. On the same street there's a ton of different food spots so it's easy just to walk around and look and enjoy your gelato.

Great gelato shop with plenty of different flavors! I enjoyed the yogurt bianco one the most! It had just the right balance between tart and sweet. The service was also great, they do let you sample flavors which is nice when there's so many choices. Lastly, there is seating outside but parking might be tough in this area.

4* Food 4.5* Service 5* Ambiance Finally! Sawtelle has a gelato, coffee and sweets shop that isn't over the top expensive or lacking ambiance. This place sets the mood for a nice European cafe to escape to after a delightful day of amazing Asian flavors on Sawtelle row of restaurants. The coffee is good, the sweets are classic, and the ice cream looked good although we did not have any.... saving that for next time. They do charge extra tax for dinning in, which is a little dissapointing.... after all it's just coffee. So if you want to enjoy their ambiance, be prepared to pay for it.

I've been here a few times now. The portion size of your cone really depends on who serves it. There's no consistency to the size and they don't weigh anything. It's a guessing game ! Tonight this young lady helped me and it was so absorbently small for $12.25 for a single waffle cone. At least give people what they pay for! The amount of gelato that was in my cone was pathetic. In addition, the cone didn't taste very fresh. Only time will tell if I ever come back?

Ambiance: it's a modern and cozy Italian coffee and ice cream shop, limited seats inside, few tables in the outdoor patio area Service: slow and careless, the cashier made mistake on my order and it took a lot efforts to get it fixed Food & Drink: standard gelato with seasonal flavors Mousse di Pistacchio - **** PISTACHIO MOUSSE, combination of the signature Pistacchio gelato, chunks of pistachios, and crunchy pistachio cream, recommend Pistacchio - **** Authentically Italian-grown pistachios in a delightful Pistacchio gelato, recommend 3 Cioccolati - *** 3 CHOCOLATES, the three chocolates recipe is a delicious blend of 60% cacao, 70% cacao and Stracciatella, thick texture and tasted like brownie Olli's Strawberry cheesecake - *** very sweet Crema Torino - **** FULL HAZELNUT EXPERIENCE, rich in hazelnut flavor, recommend TIRAMISU - *** DOUBLE MASCARPONE, average Affogato al Caffe - **** A scoop of gelato with a shot of espresso, rich in flavors, recommend Price: small portions and overpriced for its quality, not worth $20+ per person

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Five stars customer service from Vicente. When I walk in he greeted with smile and explained all the flavors. Asked me what I usually like and recommended me a few. This place is located in heart of Sawtelle. Parking could be challenging as usual. I ate dinner at close by restaurant so wasn't really problem for me. After having some bad experience in other locations I was a bit hesitant to try this one but my experience was very pleasant here. They have nice outdoor seating area and good to hang out with friends. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.

The Baseline: The Ice Cream/Gelato Baseline consists of having quality dairy product, variety of flavors/mix-ins, and serving quantity for the price. Handles goes over the baseline on all marks. Food: Got a regular with three flavors today (coffee/peanut butter/chocolate types) and it was creamy and good. Service: Fast, friendly, efficient service today. Ambiance: It feels comforting in the store like I am walking into an Italian high end cafe. Love the decor.

I came here to get Italian gelato after dinner for dessert. It was so good! I got the Tiramisu gelato with pistacchio cream ice cream cone with nuts. My tummy was satisfied! Service was great and ambiance is great too! It got really crowded after we left around 8:30pm. Overall, I would come back!

Bacio di Latte is a place I've often walked by - and skipped over because of my dislike of very sweet sweets. However, I was finally roped into trying it out; their samples made it easier to pick between... their two Pistachio flavors: Pistacchio and Mousse di Pistacchio. While it was a tough decision, I eventually went with the Mousse di Pistacchio since it had pistacchio bits in there; I'm a fan of nuts, what can I say? The mousse version was indeed sweeter, which I wanted to avoid, but I couldn't avoid the temptation. The pistacchio, though, was creamier and a crowd favorite. Either way, couldn't be disappointed. Had I not known one or the other existed, I'd still be a happy camper. Cup or cone? I chose the cone version. While it ended up being a sticky mess like my usual ice cream cone munches, my mouth enjoyed finally trying Bacio di Latte though my wallet might not have... because I plan to return!

Worth the short trek. It was a cold Sunday morning, but the place was busy with families, Gen Z'ers, young couples and lots of dogs. Out front, two girlfriends were hanging out with their matchas deep in gossip and clearly enjoying the morning. The matcha seemed popular, but I needed something hot. I appreciated that their drink menu had some personality, because a lot of coffee/matcha spots feel like they're copying from the same boring menu. I got the sea salt mocha and it was delicious. Smooth, chocolatey and just salty enough. My wife got some type of cereal milk latte, which sounded epic but was apparently just mid. Still, we didn't regret the walk. ChitChat is a cool little Sawtelle stop with good drinks, good energy and plenty of dog-friendly vibes. Pro tip: Afterwards, swing-by Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery kitty-corner from the coffee shop. The bonsai garden is insane.

However, recently they've been playing AI generated music and it's very disappointing to hear. I would much rather hear one song on loop over and over again, than a playlist of AI slop. This coffee shop is so warm and cozy but the change in music really takes away from the space and makes me not want to come in. If you're cutting corners with AI, where else are you cutting it short? Disappointing end to 15 years of loyalty…read more I have been a loyal customer of Coffee Tomo since 2011, frequently recommending it to friends. Sadly, that ends today. Over the last couple of years, the charm of this café has faded, culminating in a truly awful experience this morning. The solo staff member working today was incredibly discourteous. Because I had my leashed dog with me, she practically threw me out of the store. While she pointed to the "no dogs allowed" sign, I explained that I was only inside to order and planned to sit outside, something I have done on countless previous visits. After being forced to wait outside, my drink was left sitting on the counter for several minutes. The barista never bothered to let me know it was ready, despite the café being slow. To make matters worse, the beverage was poorly made, with coffee spilled all over the saucer. This isn't the first time I've experienced bad service here, but it will definitely be the last.

The drinks were very good and exactly what you'd expect from a quality café. But the food presentation--wow! It completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast burrito, and the egg on brioche. Every dish was beautifully plated, garnished with edible flowers, and served with a fresh, delicious salad. I honestly wasn't expecting this level of presentation from a café. The portions were generous as well, leaving us completely satisfied. I also tried one of their pastries that reminded me of a cinnamon roll. It was enjoyable, though as a professional baker and pastry chef, I felt the pastries were the one area with room for improvement. In my opinion, they seemed to prioritize elegance and originality over achieving the best texture and flavor. Even so, they were still good, and I appreciated the creativity. Overall, this was an outstanding breakfast experience. Beautiful presentation, delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would gladly return.

I found a table pretty easily, and ordered from there via QR code. Ngl, the tables can be a little uncomfortable because of the angular metal nature of them. You can nestle in there pretty easily, but one wrong move, and ouch! I really enjoyed the Breakfast Burrito. Definitely original and inspired: Scrambled Egg, Avocado, Pinto Beans, Sour Cream, Pico De Gallo, Cheddar Cheese, Tater Tots & Jalapeno Paste on a Flour Tortilla. A handful of Tater Tots arrive with as well as Cilantro sauce on the side. This burrito is pretty peppy -- and even intense in flavor. I liked it a lot, but actually had to take a break between halves as a result. My companion had the Golden Morning Brioche (Scrambled Egg, Avocado, Caramelized Onion, Arugula, Cheddar Cheese & Chipotle Sauce on a Brioche Bun) and enjoyed that. She also really enjoyed her drink, the Okinawa Cold Foam. I liked my coffee, and later, an espresso over ice. Fun vibe, and lots of other choices, including their bakery goods. Definitely recommend. Street parking, but be careful -- it's pretty tight on Barrington.
