But I ordered the pork intestine noodle soup because I don't see this on many menus. The flavor was average -- tastes familiar, but not something I would go out of my way for. The soup was weirdly lumpy -- I know it's supposed to be thickened with a corn starch slurry, but this was lumpy like someone didn't properly dissolve the starch in the slurry before adding it to the soup. Didn't really affect the taste but was not as smooth as I would've expected. I also ordered a side of braised kelp, which was ok but a bit sweeter than I like it. The staff was friendly and they were playing a Taiwanese song from 1989 that I heard when I was young, which adds to the nostalgia.
