I should've went with my first mind and not gone to the Fairfield location. I order a pound of shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage with the atomic sauce. If I wanted just steamed greasy food I would've just asked for that. There wasn't even enough sauce in my bag to cover the shrimp. Any other bag of crab restaurant the sauce has a nice consistency with chunks of garlic and they don't skimp you on the sauce. Also, my potatoes were hard! I haven't been here since an old manager blasted this location on Facebook for being dirty but I thought with new management things would be better. Our waitress never introduced herself & seemed really unhappy to be there.. other staff seemed more concerned with gossiping amongst each other. I didn't have the whole experience of eating in but I did do take out from this place. I ordered the C1 and the order time was less than a 20mins. I figured that since it wasn't a long wait time that it wasn't packed or anything. When I got to the restaurant the parking was way packed and it doesn't help that two other restaurants are next to them and it's kind of small. The restaurant when I walked in is kind of small and the place was packed! There was a waiting line to get seated. I wasn't greeted and it took the lady a couple mins to acknowledge me, but then again it is as packed. When she finally saw me, my food was ready and I paid and took it home. The food smelled very good! I picked crawfish, clams, corn, sausages, and potatoes in mild butter garlic sauce. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food and thought it was good. It wasn't has packed , we ordered C3 $48.95 it comes with either 1 Dungeness crab or 1lb king crab legs 2 corn 2 potatoes 4 sausages which are cut and a side of rice. (I'm Asian so gotta have rice with my seafood,lol) We got the mild spice and we got the atomic sauce . This whole combo and seasoning and spice is perfect ( I can just eat that sauce plain with rice). The folks who works are friendly our server Angelo is great very knowledgeable. Resturant is clean, they provide bibs and plastic gloves. (One advice tho, pls give more then one seafood cracker if there's more then one person) This is the spot for me ,hubby wants to come here for his bday. We will come back and try out the crawfish and lobster tail. Oh what the hell the whole menu of course not in one setting. Ordered king crab legs and there was slightly more than a sliver of meat in the legs...don't mind paying $34 for a good meal but really???? Took my mother in law here for her birthday/mothers day. The staff was really nice and sat our party of 9 right away. Big parties are hard to accommodate​ especially since it was a holiday but we checked in online and literally only had to wait one hour for our table. The combos are really great because you get at least two to three choices of seafood and sides for a decent price. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night and there was only a couple mins wait until we got a table. The service was great! We got a pound of shrimp with potatoes, atomic sauce and mild spice. When it came, at first we thought it looked like a small portion but when we dug into the shrimp we realized the shrimp were very meaty!! Even the head has some meat. I just want to clarify that this review is solely for the clam chowder. I ordered 2 of the clam chowder soups to go which were $5.99 each for a cup, not bowl. Since this is a seafood establishment, I assumed that it was going to be good. Well to my surprise when I got home and tried the soup there was not 1 clam to be found in either of the cups. I actually said to my wife that I think that someone must have forgotten to add the clams. Being that they offer fresh clams in their bags, the only reason for not having not 1 clam in both cups had to have been a mistake by the cook. So I recommend that you ask if the clam chowder comes with clams before ordering. read more

I first went to Bag O' Crab on March 26th and I have to say that I was very happy with the food, service and the hostess. I've read some of the reviews about how the food is bland, how the wait is long and how the hostess is rude. Yes, the wait is long...it's a new restaurant so everyone and their brother wants to go there. It's to be busy until the nostalgia wears off. You are met with the same wait at Joe's Crab Shack and I'm sure no one complains about that wait. As for the food being bland, it takes trial and error to get seasonings right in a new restaurant. Each cook does things differently and until everyone gets a rhythm down it's going to be hit and miss. If you come across something that is bland then just simply let the server know or even management and they will happily have the cook prepare it fresh with more spices. It's nothing but an adjustment to make a customer happy and keep them satisfied. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by this cute little Mexican girl named Noelia (I asked how to spell her name). At first I thought she was teenager but then realized she was just super petite. LOL She was cheerful and smiled as I walked in. It was busy but she still managed to make sure to greet everyone and make sure to keep everyone updated on the wait time. All in all I feel like this place will be around for a long time. Sooo not impressed! Let's start with the service! I asked for my shrimp to be headless! Guess what?! Came with head! We let the waitress know! She took the food back but we kept the crab so we could eat something while the shrimp was ready! Waited on the waitress to come back with nutcrackers, which she didn't! A can of soda is $2.50 and now that's expensive so don't get it!! You can't get half of pound of MP items, you have to buy the pound. They serve you a cup of water, literally. The store looked like it was rushed to open so everything is still a work in progress. Their garlic noodle was okay, they overcooked it. Very busy too in a small store. The staffs, specifically Jordan, were very attentive and friendly. Next month they'll be very prepared... hopefully! I recommend trying soft shell crab (it comes with Cajun fries) if you're planning to get Cajun fries! And for the headless shrimps, I recommend Dynamite w/ Atomic Sauce. read more

It was a different experience here, we dined in and had to go to the front cashier to order our food and pay first. The Atomic Sauce was not good, it didn't have any flavor , just straight butter. We got a good amount of crab legs but they were a lil over cooked. Shrimp we got about 16 of them. The sauce was just the garlic butter since the kids were eating with us. Our server recommended getting the an extra sauce (atomic medium heat)on the side for us that wanted spicy which was $2 extra. The medium wasn't really spicy but was flavorful. I would try the dynamite X next time. I wouldn't recommend getting the calamari, it was basic more full of French fries and not worth $10.95. I'd rather get another pound of shrimp and a side of fries. I'd get this combo again if it could guarantee good pieces of king crab otherwise would just get 2-3 pounds of shrimp.
