The staff were friendly and attentive, and while the restaurant itself was clean, the overall space felt a bit cluttered, which slightly detracted from the atmosphere. On the plus side, there's a full-service bar available if you're in the mood for a drink with your meal. As for the food: the shrimp and crab were both flavorful and satisfying. The sausage was a surprising standout--juicy and tasty. The lobster tail, however, was unfortunately overcooked and lacked the tender texture you'd hope for. The corn on the cob was passable but clearly not fresh, and didn't stand out. On the other hand, the potatoes were nicely cooked and especially tasty when dipped in the rich garlic butter sauce. Speaking of garlic--you'd better love it if you eat here. The garlic is bold, heavy-handed, and central to the butter sauces. While the seasoning on the seafood was supposed to be spicy, we found the flavor level we chose a bit bland overall. It felt like the heat was there, but not the depth of seasoning to really make the seafood shine. Tried Bag O Crab for the first time last night. We chose booth seating in the bar. The server was nice and attentive and the bar was close by our booth so we were able to interact with the bartender as well. Beer on tap had good selections. My Mojito was on point. We shared a #4 with Lobster and added a side of snow crab. Food was delivered promptly by the robot and promptly passed out by the server. My husband likes spicy but myself, not so much, so we opted for Louisiana medium. It was a little warm for me but still doable and tasty. The bibs are fun and quite useful. Gloves worked ok for a bit but eventually leaked some. Only suggestion to the restaurant is to provide a bucket for the shells and some good sudsy soap in the bathroom for after dinner cleanup. The most part I like this restaurant is the location, pretty good size parking lot, take the 256 exit , at the corner of Hawthrone and Market, you won't miss it. But the tall T sign is not clear. About the service, when we came into the door on Saturday night, it was very busy, people was waiting for seats, the host was super nice and I believe the manager was also helping. When we sitted down, first serverd were couple water and we placed some cocktails. Drinks came fast and delicious. The Long island ice tea and the mango favor cocktail were fabulous. When we looking at the menu then we can enjoy the drinks. We ordered a combo 4 with lobster and Korean wings. The seafood came out hot and fresh, sauces was just pefect and wings were great. Food are just fine, service as really good and friendly. The Restautant was originally a nice seafood dinning place called Newport seafood grilled. After I visit it's new business called Bag O Crab last night, I found out that it is totally different. if you are expecting a high end restaurant, um..it might be not a choice fo you. The food comes out in a bag ( maybe this way they named Bag O Crab), of course there is only Crab. secondly, foods are served on a metal tray. When I asked the server what is the right way to eat, she told me that just pull them out on the table from the bag and get messy. Very funny dinning and interesting, we loved it, Price is good for seafood. We will go again without wearing nice dressing or suits. other than that, it is a really restaurant.
