2nd time trying out this place letting out of town family try it out hoping the 1st time was just a bad day for service. Extremely disappointing service again after spending $50 for 3 items. Only black patrons in the place and everyone after us received their orders. I waited an additional 5 mins before asking if our order would be ready soon only to be given a bag missing the burrito. It would've been an easy mistake had the staff behind the counter been kinder about it. I've found my new go-to spot for bagels and cream cheese! Forget Western and Noah's--this place is amazing! This past Sunday, I ordered six bagels, and I got a call from a staff member (I wish I knew his name) letting me know they were out of some. I really appreciated that he took the time to call instead of leaving me to find out when I arrived. They even threw in a couple of extras for the inconvenience! When I picked them up, I was blown away by how cool the place is. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu. The girl behind the counter, with red/brown hair, was super nice and filled me in on their hot sauce and ketchup options. She even complimented my lip liner--how sweet! The bagels were HUGE, freshly made, and absolutely delicious--so soft! With such excellent customer service, I'll definitely be back and will order for our office meetings. The service was terrible all three times I went. The first two times it took at least 40 minutes to get our food and there was mass confusion behind the counter. Tried ordering ahead on app and ordering at counter and each time they took forever and were confused. The third time, they ran out of everything bagels around noon! I am so happy to write this review since I finally found my go-to bagel place. I went to New York City over the summer and I've mourned the bagels ever since. These bagels are just like the ones in New York and nothing compares. Plus, they have vegan/dairy-free options. Their tofu veggie cream cheese was SENSATIONAL. Their bagels are also amazing and it's cool they have flagels (flat bagels). The building is sleek inside and there were so many employees ready to help. They were so cheerful and seemed genuinely happy at their job, which is rare. Highly recommend and I hope they open more locations in LA! read more

I've been going to either Noah's Bagels or Einstein Bagels on the weekends. Noah and Einstein are the same corporation, I found this out by downloading both apps. On the Einstein app, my balance is the same on the Noah's app, and they even share the same password. The only difference between Noah's and Einstein, is that Einstein offers 1 extra type of bagel that Noah's doesn't have. The garlic bagel is exclusive at the Einstein chain, but all the types of cream cheese (schmear) and the rest of the bagel types are the same. Einstein breakfast items slightly differ from Noah's, which is why I alternate between them. Today, I discovered Bagel Boss opened in Burbank from Twitter, and I was pretty excited to try authentic NY bagels. When I arrive at Bagel Boss this morning, I asked, 'Is there an app I can download on my phone?' The guy behind the counter told me they do have an app, but you can't put a balance on the app like Noah's or Einstein's. The app was just created recently. Plus, Einstein/Noah is a corporate brand and Bagel Boss is a family owned business. I told the guy working there, I would give them at least 4 stars on yelp. He then said, 'Why not 5 stars?' I told him it would depend on the food. So I bought a whole wheat everything bagel with an over easy egg, with turkey bacon and lettuce and tomato along with another bagel, a blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese. The blueberry bagel was 1/3rd larger than the bagels you get at Noah's or Einstein, and the blueberry cream cheese (schmear) had real pieces of blueberry in them. The turkey bagel sandwich I got is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had. I told the guy behind the counter, that I was giving him 5 stars on yelp. And I told him to claim this business in yelp. He said he would look into claiming this business. read more

Ridiculous stale bagel, awful!! Even after slicing (with a saw) and toasting, it's stale rubbery and hard as a rock. I can't even bite into it, I'm literally gonna throw it away. What a waste of money. I expect a refund!! I would come back and demand my money but I had to rush to work. Wasn't approached immediately because all the staff does is stand around and BS. Tried this on Sunday at 1:30, wasn't busy at all but the kitchen was already closed so that was a bummer considering my husband wanted eggs on his bagel. Just seems dumb to have a kitchen closed on a Sunday when you're open til 3pm. Service was also super slow so I can't imagine it on a busy day. Bagels & spreads were pretty good, definitely comes close to an east coast bagel. I grew up just outside of Philly and spent more than enough time in NY, so I appreciated the amount of cream cheese they put on. It's open! All the employees are so welcoming, helpful, and patient. I came today (opening day) at around 12pm with my sister, and hardly had to wait in spite of how busy it was. The patio has great vibes and shade. The inside is clean and organized. MOST importantly the bagels are TOP NOTCH. We both got the All The Way Fish bagel sandwich, I did it on an everything bagel (not toasted) and my sister got it on a rainbow bagel (SO cute). Excited to have NY come to LA. Sandwiches were good but the restaurant itself is missing the NY vibe. Angelenos aren't New Yorkers. Bagel shops like this are a way of life in NY.
