I've been coming to Bagels & Co for a few years now since I live in the area. Positives: The bagels are tasty and they have many spreads options. It's very convenient for breakfast if you live in the area! Negatives: Service could sometimes be rude and you have to try to get their attention. Subpar bagels, terrible service, rude employees. Just absolutely terrible. The guy kept rolling his eyes and turning around and sighing heavily to his coworker just because I asked a question. I can't believe that. How rude can you be? I asked for it toasted... and it was cold, hard, and just really dry to the point where I needed water. When I tried to pay, I gave them a $2 bill and some singles because that's all I had on me at the time, and he said, "we don't accept this. Is this real?" He looked at the bill like it was foreign currency. He consulted his coworker about it and ultimately, she decided that it was real because you can "feel" the ridges. I mean.. you can just use a counterfeit marker for crying out loud. When I asked how much it was, he just stared at me, and looked down for no reason, and looked back up at me, and looked back down. I had to ask him three times in a row how much it was. He held up a finger to me instead of saying, "one moment." Unbelievable. when I was getting my bagel, he put it into a bag, and tossed to the side. He didn't even hand it to me like a decent human being. Coming to this place ruined my entire day. I wouldn't be coming here anymore if it wasn't for this wonderful woman (who I believe owns, or manages this place). If there is an issue, she will assist you in the most convenient way possible, unlike the majority of the workers. I've been to this place many times (great deal on the soup/bagel), and every single time there has been an issue with something I order -- most of the time something was lost in translation, but there is definitely the lazy factor. The food is above average, and bagels are far above average, but it is an exhausting experience every time I come here. By far the most disgusting place to eat. The prices are crazy high. You by an iced coffee for $3 and an additional $1 for ice! The employees there curse. One customer ordered a salad. The mixed lettuce accidentally fell of the employee hands to the floor, she then picked it up and asked the custimer what topping she wants!!! Stating that it didnt fall on the floor. My order took literally half an hour because the cashier was cursing at someone who got her mad. I ended up leaving everything and left. Went into this store to buy bagels. As I was waiting on line (with my mask on) to order, two different individuals walked through the store without wearing a mask (which I thought was really odd). There is seating in the back of the store. When it was my turn to order, I lowered my mask so that the counter person could understand my order. The extremely rude woman cashier rushed over to the person who was helping me, pointed her finger at me as if I was a child and said, "KEEP YOUR MASK ON WHILE YOU ORDER". I guess it's okay to walk through the store without a mask, but when you are standing in one place, social distancing from the people behind the counter and the people next to you, it's not okay to lower the mask. As far as their bagels go, they have the best bagels that I have ever tasted in my entire life. Of course it is important to get the bagels earlier on in the day when they are very fresh. There can be quite the line for these bagels so one must come prepared with patients and with a bunch of 'quarters' to feed the meters. I gave 2 stars not because it wasn't good but because it was just ok. And in NYC I can get this kind of bagel anywhere. Not much selection of bagels and my chives in my chive cream cheese weren't the freshest. This place is close to my house so I thought I would try it but I will definitely drive the extra to my usual place Bagel Club in Bayside next time. I finally remembered to try Bagels & Co., and I was not disappointed. Boyfriend brought me the biggest, most cream cheesiest bagel I've seen in awhile. I knew it was going to be a delicious breakfast when I could smell the bagels walking through my bedroom door. The bagel was incredible! So much cream cheese, perfectly fresh, so big that I had to take a break before finishing it. Boyfriend wolfed down two in the time it took me to eat half of mine, though (piggy!). Haven't really tried too much here, although they have everything and it all looks amazing. The bagels are very, very good. I specifically like the WW Everything. Barely tastes whole wheat. The cream cheeses and dips are all very solid, and their selection in general is unbeatable. We got the cheesecake for dessert, and it was by far, the best non-homemade cheesecake I've ever had. Pricing is decent, nothing crazy one way or the other, and the service is certainly passable, if not good. The place looks very nice, and it has a very chilled out atmosphere going for it. This place is ok. They have a wide variety of bagels, cream cheese (both dairy and non-dairy), as well as flagels. The texture of the bagels is a little airier than the typical NY bagel. I am in from FL for my dads funeral sitting shiva in queens. My family ordered food for the shiva house from Bagels & Co for us for almost $350. The order was delivered incorrectly. We received whitefish salad instead of a whole whitefish, which they charged us for, sent bagels and forgot the bialies, and sent quacamole on the fish platter because they needed to fill an empty compartment!! They also sent a three layer plaster of tomatoes and onions and called it a vegetable platter. When we called them instead of correcting the order the owner was very nasty. I know people make mistakes but there is no excuse to take advantage of people during their time of mourning. Shame on you!!!!!!!! read more

Added coffee and a bagel with cream cheese and the total was $18. Could have gone to a local diner for that kinda money. And the only explanation I got was "it's glatt kosher". Good bagels, always soft and the spreads are yummy. My favorite item however is the egg and cheese on challah bread (can't be beat!) It is nice because you can sit and eat and they also have chopped salad if you are watching your figure. Bagel spot with much more than just bagels. If you are local in this neighborhood this is your bagel spot!.The bagels are one of the best you can find in NY almost as good as Goldbergs of Brooklyn. Big and soft but they didnt put alot of butter on it though. The coffee was Ok. They do have a variety of different flavor cream cheese. It's sad that a place that has such a tasty menu can garner a 2 star review, but I can't justify giving them any higher unless they change they're attitudes. The girls working the counter are rude and disappear for 10 minutes at a time so if you want to specify what cheese you want on your sandwich, you just have to accept what the preparer uses (and of course they always use American cheese). It just kills my whole mood and since I'm there in the morning, my whole day is basically a bit darker. read more

I have lived in the neighborhood for a long time and have passed this store sooo many times and always meant to stop in. I hadn't got to it until now. I bought the breakfast special. Nothing special about it. Not saying it was horrible just that it wasn't that special. I have definitely had better bagels (see: bagels plus) again they weren't horrible just ok. I normally don't really like bagels. Bready thing with so much crust... belch BUT I actually enjoyed these bagels. I even ate a left over one my sister couldn't finish. It is the soft insides that I love about the bagel. The bread was fluffy inside and chewy at the same time. I was so happy with the taste and flavor.
