The bagels here are great! I live in Seattle, and unless I make them myself, there are no good bagels in Seattle, none! The bagels here have the crunchy polished exterior with the firm chewy interior which are the marks of a genuine bagel. They also taste good. They cost a little more than the average bagel, but having written that, they're worth it, if for no other reason they put enough cream cheese for three bagels on each. I mean seriously if I were to have measured it I'm pretty certain it would have been about half a cup of cream cheese. Their coffee is okay, nothing to write home about, but drinkable. This area is very limited when it comes to breakfast/lunch that is not junk food, Been taking out from here for a few years at least once or twice a week. The bagels and vegetables are NOT always fresh but there is a variety of bread, salad and pizza. It seems like the random workers there do not pass some training of how to make a simple sandwich or serve a cup of coffee that is not flooded with 90% water and milk.....You really have to follow them and check your order before leaving. There are many times where you either get a mix of food spread out and all over your bagel or not exactly what you ordered. If you choose to come here all over again and again, you found parking and pay Manhattan prices you just want get fresh food and service from someone w/decent experience. read more

I got a cream cheese with everything bagel here and it was pretty good but they put too much cream cheese and yogurt it tasted chunky. I don't know if it was bad or something but it tasted funky. Salads are great here and pizza too. read more

Great bagel place that's usually very busy but it's really set up well and not hectic at all. The service is great and the bagels and spreads are delicious. They also have pizza which is a nice surprise to me. Seating is great if you go to the back room cause it's less noisy and busy back there. If in the neighborhood again I would not hesitate to get lunch here. I would even go out of my way to get here because it's that good. I recommend the whitefish salad. I come here almost every single day, and every day I tel myself it will be better...... It's not better. The employees are very rude and can never get an order right. I ordered a bagel with tuna and pickles, an egg platter and a bagel with cream cheese. After waiting 20 minutes the employee came and said oh man I think someone took your food ?!?!? Like seriously? Fine they redid the order. When I got to work and opened my order they gave me egg salad with pickles on a bagel. The manager is just as rude. When I called to tel them her reply was- you should know what you wanna order when you come here. Okay sorry I guess I don't know what I like to eat. The only reason I give two starts is because the place is in a convenient location, but I think I'm going to be driving down to Main Street from now On. read more

I have been passing this place for some years and I just happened to be working close by so I figured I'd stop in an give them a try. I found it to be clean and inviting but had the feeling that I was on an assembly line with not much time to see what was offered, because I no sooner walked through the door and I was being asked what I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate fast service but I've never been here before, let me see what you have before I order. I ordered the whole wheat everything bagel with lox spread and it was okay but I couldn't help feeling that I might have tried something else if they weren't in such a hurry to get me out the door, which was another thing, they had tables inside and outside and never asked whether if I wanted to stay. As a lifelong New Yorker growing up on the UWS, I was raised on bagels. After moving to Queens, it was surprisingly hard to find a good place. The wife found this place since she works in the area and introduced me, and boy and I glad that she did. All the bagels are made fresh and I've never had a bad bagel here. My favorite is the egg bagel with scallion cream cheese. It's just good every time. While its not on par with my favorite of all time, Murray's down on 6th Avenue and 11th, its definitely the best bagel I've had in eastern Queens. Two thumbs up. read more

When I crave bagels, anywhere in this area would hit the spot. If the bagel is not edible plain, then it is not wort eating at all. Bagels here are the definition of bagels. Big, beefy, chewy, filling. Delicious. The most amazing, not particularly, but they are definitely better than your average chain bagel. Cream cheese, lox, etc have to be good. A good indicator of a bagel place's quality is their WHTE FISH salad... Let me tell you, Bagels&Co has one of the most delicious white fish I have tasted. Ugh. I drool like a mastiff the second i referenced it. Absolutely perfect in any way. I can eat white fish alone, that is how good it is. But adding it to a beautifully toasted bagel cannot be beat. Price. Depends on what you get on it. Below said 3 bagels for $10. My toasted, white fish, poppy seed bagel (nothing more, nothing less) came out to $7 and change. So yes. A bit pricey, but oh so worth it (here i go again with the fucken drooling!) Service. Meh. That is the mean (heh-full of jokes today!) reason i docked them a point. The man seemed nicer than the girl who attended me behind the counter. I like my bagel with whitefish not curt responses and eye-rolling (and i knew exactly what i wanted, i can only imagine how she responds to someone who is unsure.) service was also very slow. I thought maybe she forgot about me but stayed quiet and waited patiently in anticipation for my delicious white fish baby. I waited probably 7-8 minutes for a bagel that was already made to be toasted and slathered in already made white fish salad and wrapped. So,if i was having the hankering for some white fish I knew was amazing, and my withdrawal was unbearable, sure, i would come here. But if someone asked me to suggest a place for bagels, or breakfast, i would probably direct them further west on union tpke. I also would not bring someone with me to eat here. There is another bagel shop in the area, but I prefer to go here. Customer service is not outstanding, bagels are good and certainly better than something you get at a deli. The coffee here is great. I used to get it here whenever I had a chance, usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning. However, the service the last few times has been less than exceptional. The place is usually packed on the weekend, so I understand it can get hectic, but I've still often found myself being skipped both on line, and at the register when I have tried to pay. They also use tin foil to cover the coffee if you say it is 'to go,' which I find a bit wasteful. read more

I've been to Bagels & Co a handful of times because it's in my neighborhood. In the past, I've never been disappointed. However, after not patronizing for a couple of years, I got an urge for baked salmon salad on a bagel so I stopped in. The salads did not look fresh at all, and in particular, the baked salmon salad looked really dried out! So,I asked the girl behind the counter if I could taste it before I ordered. For some reason, she was pushing me to taste the lox spread also. I really didn't want lox spread but she handed me a spoon of each. They were both horrible! The baked salmon salad had had a sour taste...clearly it went bad!!! So she said it was because it was "from this morning". It was around 5:30 PM when I stopped in. Baked salmon salad would not go bad in a properly refrigerated environment within the same day! But since I've known their bagels and bialys to be good, I was going to get a few....but they looked weird...not like what I've gotten at Bagels & Co in the past. Needless to say, I left empty handed. I'm scratching this place off my list! I am wondering if the restaurant is under new ownership...it's like night and day from my prior experiences! read more

Visited this place on a Sunday, since I haven't been here in a while and thought I'd give them another chance. After my experience, I remembered why I've stayed away. Good: Bagels have a somewhat decent texture/taste Bad: Service was terrible. Me (and a few other customers) had to witness one of the guys behind the counter yell at an employee while she stormed out of the store, with him telling her to not come back and that they "didn't need her". I don't know what was going on, but this shouldn't be happening in front of your customers. Take it out back. Cashier had no intention of giving me a receipt I came early on a Sunday morning, when you would expect fresh, hot bagels. All the ones I got were cold and even stale. This place charges extra for blueberry and flat bagels, among other items, if you include them in a dozen. I haven't seen this anywhere else. No egg everything bagels Baker's dozen here only includes 1 free extra bagel. Anywhere else (including the other place down Union Turnpike, near Utiopia parkway) gives you 3 extra. Just cheap on their part. Cream cheese is $10/pound Parking is difficult . Basically, this place is stingy, cheap, and doesn't care about its customers. They are happy to keep taking money from the local community for subpar quality and service. Stopped off here before work the other day. Place seemed really clean. Large selection of bagels and spreads. The lady at the cashier was a tiny bit standoffish but I'm sure it's cause it seemed like she was running around and busy. The food was decent although their online menu and store menu differed slighty, we found replacements that were just as good. Now as for the service, theres a guy there with a ponytail who gave the absolute worst service,asked what was in a particular food item he just blurted out the name of the dish in a very low voice and walked away ignoring us and almost hiding behind the counter. I went they're in the morning with 3 of my kids and ask for 4 orders. The guy asked me 3 times what I want after about 15 minutes of waiting he comes to register with 3 of the orders, I told him I ask for 4 order he tells me you should get you order straight man,With an Altitude and no class at all,And start races voice on me for no reason at all. I didn't Want to make a big scene next to my kids and just walk away. Shame on you owner of this business That so what's going on and didn't even Bother to do anything about situation and help your customer.Don't recommend to anyone read more

Never, ever go to this bagel shop. They have very poor customer service. The owner is very nasty and have no manners on how to speak to people. Once she opens her mouth you want to run from there. The place is dirty and has leaks from the ceilings. Very rude employees, taking their time to serve you and keep asking you to step down even though you are not done ordering. I was on line and witnessed how they yelled at one of the customers by telling her to leave the shop. I will never go there again and does not recommend to others. Their cream cheeses are old and not fresh. There are better bagel shops in the area with much better service. read more
