I've been coming here few times a month for more than 10 years. Their service got worse! Especially the older lady and older man that's by the registers-they're the rudest people I've met living in the neighborhood. They're quick to get annoyed when you ask them to repeat because you can't understand what they're saying, and they're very aggressive with the way they handle money (taking it from you and giving you change). Foodwise, it's average (Their bagels though, I'd say it's one of the good ones in the neighborhood). Seeing as how there's bunch of delis and shops opening in the area, this place needs to step up its game a bit, especially with basic customer service. read more

Pros- Good bagels, good food, polite and fast working cooks. Convenient location, and the ONLY bagel shop that I know of in woodside. Cons- alright.. outdated, poorly kept, impolite owners, looks dirty when you're inside, they definitely need a renovation asap (or somebody to keep the place clean. You'll always see napkins or trash, for that matter, on the floors). If your order is ever incorrect, avoid the male owner. He tends to get angry if you try to get your food the way you asked for it. Pricing- unreasonably priced. The bagels are good but they take advantage of being the only bagel location in the area by pricing them high. The prices are also drastically inconsistent. Depending on the worker, you may pay $4.50 for a sandwich one day and pay $6.80 for it the next (no joke). Overall, the food is good but the business is not one I would suggest supporting until they begin to value their loyal and large consumer base with respect, consistency and cleanliness. read more

Well they've just lost my business. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese bagel with extra ham(cost extra $2.00). After I opened my bagel and saw only two slices of ham, I asked if there was mistake. He told me they only use one slice of ham and extra meant you get one more slice. I asked the cashier who I think owns the place, she looked confused but after one of the guys whispered in her ear then she just stuck with the story. So I ended up paying $2.00 for a slice of ham.... They just couldn't put a few more slices or offered to. It sucks because I've came here since I was a kid but I'll just take my business else where. read more

i give this the one star because after finding about this place on yelp - we called in at 5am to ask for bagels. they said they open at 530. at 545am we roll along in a cab and tried to get some bagels. Although they don't have the best bacon egg 'n cheese I've ever tasted, this place is good for other reasons. 1) they deliver! there is nothing better than being hung over and getting an egg sandwich delivered to you in your pajamas. 2) The prices. An egg and cheese on a bagel costs $2.00 The same thing in Grand Central would cost me $4.50 and it would probably be a fake egg. ew. 3) Whole wheat everything bagels. Local Woodside bagel spot can be in hit or miss sometimes. Sometimes the bagels are really good and soft and warm and yummy and then other times they can be hard as a rock and a total miss. Just OK bagel spot it's not a place I would run to make it I need your bagels as a craving. Service moves quickly, place your order go the counter pay and pick it up. There prices are moderate but they may need to start stepping it up since Dunkin' Donuts is move in right across the street. Oh something strange I told the lady at the counter my order. She rang me up I see the total is $10.07 so I gave her a $10 bill and $.10 she then says to me it's 11 something I pointed to the register and she says to me I didn't had your tea OK whatever I gave her the money waited for my change and I never saw her add the tea to the total on the register which is strange what is trying to pocket the price of a cup of tea? In a city that is curiously sorely lacking for a really good bagel, these are as close to the bagels I remember as a kid growing up! Judging from other Yelp! reviews, New Yorkers now expect their bagels to be soft and fluffy... No, they're not. This place has bagels the way they're supposed to be! Yeah, they're not super-friendly, so what? How much time out of your life are you spending in there out of your entire lives? Best tasting bagels in the area! The bagels are huge, with a crunchy exterior and soft/fluffy interior. They are very generous with the cream cheese, and service is prompt. We order by phone for pick-up and have not experienced anything other than courteous service. Highly recommend trying this place. read more

We recently moved to the Woodside/Sunnyside area, and the first thing I did was try to track down a bagel place, because I am a carb addict. I was disappointed in the option that was walkable to my house, so back to yelp maps I went, scouring for an acceptable substitute. Bagels Plus fit the bill. Sadly, it's only driving/subway distance from us. We got a variety of un-spread bagels for a small brunch, and they were good bagels. Hand rolled and boiled, with a nice amount of toppings on the everything bagel, and they have a whole-wheat everything bagel, so you know, healthy. Someday I hope to check out their egg sandwiches (my favorite!), but I feel better now that I know a local-ish bagel place with yummy bagels! read more

The man at the register is very rude when you question the prices and almost screams at you for doing so.. The bagels are as good as you can find in Manhattan, classic. And I have no patience for something trying to pass as a bagel. So many places try to sell something that looks like a bagel but doesn't have the delicious soft inside and the chewier outside. This place passes my bagel test. We get bagels, cream cheese and lox here every weekend or so. I feel it's a little pricey, but probably in the range of most bagel and lox - about $15 for two. Also, bring cash. read more

I ordered a 3 Foot Italian Sub for the Superbowl, which came with Italian dressing, pickles and they even threw in a potato salad. Bagel plus has some good delicious bagels and very friendly staff. I always get the cream cheese with lox on a sesame bagel and it's always delicious. They move pretty fast during the morning commute so you don't have to spend a lot of time waiting. The coffee isn't bad either. read more

I go to Bagels Plus occasionally because my gym is a couple of blocks away. And I always have the same thing, which is coffee and a toasted raisin bagel with butter. Today the butter was margarine. It tastes like it, and you can see the block where they serve it from. It has that waxy look not like butter, but margarine. When I asked, they insisted it was butter. First of all, this place did NOT have the bagels I wanted- at 9AM you still expect them to have whole wheat or at least an onion bagel, right? Although the cooking staff was friendly, the hindu lady at the cashier, not so much. You'd expect her to show a little more appreciation for your patronage. What absolutely did it for me was when I sat down to eat the bagel. The bread was hardly toasted, the cream cheese was skimped, and there were non-red looking substances in my strawberry jam.
