After getting screwed in the purchase of my 2022 Chevy Silverado, I am now getting screwed on the "1st Free" oil change. I scheduled an appointment for 1PM today, 13DEC2024. I arrived early, they told me it would be no more than an hour. It's 2:20pm and, after I inquired, they told me the oil filter had to be ordered. What!!! I have other things to do...an appointment! They went back and asked the service team to bring my truck forward...I'm thinking to get some priority. No, it was to give it back to me without having done the oil change!!!! I got baited on their website while I was looking for a used car that they claimed was listed in the inventory. I drove across town after I called their certified used car salesperson (the night before and the next morning) who told me that that the car I was wanting to buy was still on the lot. When I arrived, the salesperson didn't know what car I was talking about, walked away to talk to a supervisor and returned with a story that the car that I called about was already sold prior to my arrival. I have never dealt with Baker Nissan until Nov. 2024, and I did not plan on buying another new car since I was 77 yrs. old. I will say that due to the technology of the 21st century it has impacted the manufacturiing of new cars, and what I am saying is they are computer controlled, many people do not realize the cost an implications that go along with this. I had two used cars, and now only one because I was stupid about how advanced a simple new car is, and some of the issues involved with it. I traded in my Dodge Ram for a "Certified Used Kicks," the salesman was new and was ignorant because all he did was let test drive it around the block. It drove fine and I liked it, so we negotiated a deal and I purchased it. The first time I drove it, I got some kind of warning light, but I was tired and went home. I am going to sum this up, by saying I took it back several times for numerous warning lights coming on. I took it back, and the salesperson had been fired. They assigned someone else to help me, and I said I want my Dodge truck and they already sold it, what does that tell you, it was in excellent condition. The problem with keeping older vehicles is very simple, shops do not want to work on them and parts are getting obsolete ( two auto parts store by my house closed in the past two weeks, why?) They agreed to buy the first Nissan Kicks back only to buy a new 2025 that cost ~ $8,000 USD. It had a couple of similar problems and yet they would say no problem do not worry about it. I contacted Nissan North America without letting them know. It caused a lot of problems, and they suggested that I change Dealers for service, so I did. I went back one last time, and the salesperson got very irrate and berated me on the show room floor, then the sales manager followed out side and madeintimidating threats against me on Christmas Eve, so I left and I did report the incident to local authorities. Literally had an appointment at 7:30 am and my service person never showed up had me waiting at least a hour and 30 and then come to find out the problem could've been solved if they just called and approved for him to give me a loaner car. I was under the impression I was going in today to pick up a blue Nissan Rogue SV that I had pre-ordered February 19th. Upon arrival Marquis provided me with an invoice with an an amount that differed from my original deal with Jamaal & Tanny Perez. I asked Marquis to further explain why this invoice was different and also asked to speak to Paul as he had been proactively assisting me since Jamaal failed to show up to our previous scheduled meeting. shortly after Tanny came over to Marquis' desk and said "I will not give you that original deal I am the manager and approve final sales it's better you take the refund and walk away" (he abruptly left with no further explanation) I requested a copy of the original deal and no one seemed to have a copy or an idea of where it was. Tanny did not even bother to address/explain the mistake with me nor address/make eye contact with my wife when she tried to speak with him. Soon after Paul approached and we could hear Tanny addressing Paul in a very rude and unprofessional manner going as far as getting in Pauls face literally inches from Paul's face! We were appalled by such behavior from a supervisor in a place of business. At this point after witnessing this behavior we began to escalate this matter we were told Mike would arrive shortly and were asked to wait for him to see if anything could be done. We waited which turned out to be a complete waste of time! At least he explained that a clerical error had been made, but nothing was done for me as a loyal customer! A new deal could have been reviewed, something to make up for such huge inconvenience! This whole situation is completely unacceptable. Specially because this was a mistake done by this business and a manager and no one tried to provide me with a reasonable solution. I e-mailed the store manager Luis Castillo explaining all of the above, the only answer he gave me was they will train their personnel better and what would be a good solution for me to continue being a customer when I e-mail him back I got nothing in return. I tried calling him, asking if he had received my email several times (which he did as he had responded to my original one) and I got nothing from him. 2017 Nissan Juke was having A/C problems. Brought to Baker Nissan thinking they would fix correctly. They replace the compressor on Friday and stopped cooling on Saturday. Brought back in on Monday and told coil (inside firewall) out. The cost for compressor (which not needing replacement it turns out was $2,600.) The estimate for second repair was ~ $4,600. I would hope dealer with the techs and the systems to repair Nissan cars would not hit and miss. In other words not replace parts to find the problem one by one. Cannot afford hit and miss shade tree mechanics in the 21st century at those prices. Took to another shop and fixed, a little cheaper but done right first time. read more

This dealership is far from my house but I show up, get passed to 3 other ppl. The car I was looking at was sold while I was test driving it. So since there was nothing else in stock at that moment, I decided to leave. I was stopped by another salesperson because they had other cars to show me. Let me say that this dealership did not even try to earn my business LOL. They picked 2 cars lacking a specific feature I wanted, and had 60k miles on them. Absolutely terrible service and do not recommend doing business here at all. My fleet car was delivered here. After initial contact, was told my tags would take 4-6 weeks. At about 5 weeks, I started contacting again to get an update and never got a response even after numerous attempts to call, leave message and email. Finally, after 2 months, (they never contacted me) I made an appt to collect the car. On arrival, I was told only then that the tags were lost/misplaced. I assumed this would be corrected but it is now 1 month later again, still no response after trying to contact for an update again and my temp tags are now expired....AGAIN. Baker has absolutely no idea what customer service is and doesn't even communicate with their customers even when the customer is trying to reach them. Very unprofessional and ineffective at their jobs. **Update: while I appreciate the reach out from Baker, they completely missed the point. There were MULTIPLE miss-steps and opportunities to correct things and the ONLY reason they reached out and finally Fedexed my tags is when I made an absolute stink about it. Had I not, I am pretty sure I would still not have my tags. Sorry Baker, but months of mistakes aren't fixed with an apology and you need to consider losing a few non responsive and irresponsible employees. read more

I'm not from this area originally an just moved in the North Houston area. This dealership was close to our home and having had great service at various Nissan dealerships in the past (my family has exclusively bought Nissan for more of our car buying lives), I thought it'd be the same pretty much the same. I arrived at my appointment. Odd that there was no one really ensuring people parked/drove to the right area. I'm used to spotters and service people at the ready. I picked a location and pulled up. Someone did come over to help me. I advised I had an appointment. They asked my name and then went away. Then I didn't see them until I got out the car myself and went inside. Once inside someone directed me to a gentlemen--no name. I advised again that I had an appointment, this was my first time here. This, to me, says this is a company's time to ensure you're wanting to keep this person coming back. "What's the problem?" He asked. I advised of what the issue was. Was this a bit annoying as I'd described the problem when I set the appointment? Yes. But hey it happens. He typed something in and said it'd be a few hundred just to diagnose. I said fine. He kept typing. I stood there curious of what was happening. I mentioned I had a conference call so was hoping to get the shuttle back as I live near the location (less than 2 miles.) Well this is where it takes an additional fun turn. Baker Nissan's website offers pick up and drop off service. This is a great service, but they don't actually offer it. Even if you put in a location that is less than 250 from their location their system indicates it's too far out of the pick up and service area. The reality is that I've always been offered loaners in the past, but was hoping at least for a shuttle. Well when I got there no such shuttle exists! But we can set up a lyft ride for you. Which I'd pay for. And what would be the point of that? So I arranged my own ride home. "You'll hear back from us in a day." Did I? Nope. Did I call and hold for over 30 minutes and then be hung up on? Yes. Was I given emails or texts or any updates regarding my vehicle? Nope. I'm hoping I hear back otherwise I'll have to start the process over. The absolutely mental thing is I decided to go the dealership route because I wanted a no fuss, no muss experience like I'd had before at many other Nissan dealerships. Instead I got a life lesson that unfortunately not all Nissan service departments are up to snuff. Please increase your service level. I'm shocked this is happening at a Nissan dealership. Is it the area or just them? I revamp companies and departments for a living and I can tell Baker Nissan most definitely needs a huge overhaul. If things take a turn for the better I'll update my review, but for now I'm going to ask a few neighbors who they trust around this area for car repairs and service. I must say, every time I visit the service department I am simply wowed at the outstanding customer service that I receive. From the service advisors, to the receptionists, to the technicians that work on your vehicle everyone is not only courteous but very knowledgeable in their specialty. They have a nice waiting/ sitting area equipped with a tv, small kids play area as well as cubicle style seating up against a wall for those who have to work in private in their laptops. They offer snacks, filtered water, coffee and hot chocolate. I've never had an issue getting a rental or charged on any of the warranty work. Sanitized restrooms and clean working space along with the hard to find friendly customer service makes this place my go to for my vehicle repairs. read more

Baker Nissan is a disrespectful and full of liars ! I was dealing with Patrick and agreed based on Shawn Kennedy used car Director approval on $23.5k for a used BMW. I took half a day off from work, and drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to the dealer. 2 hours later after I test drove the car and I was ready to pay, they increased the price to $24549. They called a finance manager to the desk and he was very rude and impolite, he told told me these exact words LISTEN IF YOU ARE PAYING $23.5k I am not selling you the car! When I asked him to call Patrick he said I don't know who is Patrick and I will not call anyone, and walked away, I was there for too long at the desk with nobody from sales around me. A friend told me to visit Marquess Smith Sr. to purchase a vehicle. You would think if someone gave you a reference to purchase a car; they would have some decency as he claims he is an "Extraordinary Gentlemen" and honest Far from it! I purchased a 29K vehicle. I had to take it back 3x. "Nothing Wrong" Our master mechanic David says he can't find anything. Then, he said he took it to Lexus and they also found nothing! Another lie! When I took it to Northside Lexus, the front right passenger side tire was "RED" I basically needed 4 new tires, a wheel alignment, and front and rear brake pads, shims and rotors! I also had to replace the front and rear windsheild wipers DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! THEY ARE DISHONEST LIARS! Even calling the so called District Manager! After 3 MONTHS OF ATTEMPTING TO HAVE THEM RECTIFY THE SITUATION! THEY HAVE DONE NNNNNOOOTTTHHHIINNNGGG!!!! I cancelled the GAP/EW, as I decined this coverage, but I still was given it. I asked them if this is what they would sell to their mother and sisters! I guess I got the friends and family deal from the Extraordinary D(*&%BAG! I have initiated a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs the BBB and teh Consumer Affairs Bureau. I feel bad for the salesman, Jass, I had. He was actually nice, or maybe pretending. I told him where I was coming from and he vowed to make me a good deal. His manager really screwed him out of a deal with his attitude. The used vehicle was overpriced and I pointed that out to his manager by showing similar vehicles I'd seen as well as showing him what the market fair price of the vehicle was to which he sarcastically replied that he didn't sell vehicles off of that. They add on $2000 for THEIR certified pre-owned certification and another $700 for them adding elo gps. Even after explaining the math and how it didn't make sense the manger just sat there and looked at me with this dumb face. I guess the math was too hard for him, I don't know. If you want to waste your time and drive, go to Baker Nissan. This is a horrible unethical dealership. I have had the worst experience with the salesperson named Vanessa. I called on phone asking to sell my car, and advised me to text her the VIN # and pictures of my car. I did that, and she came back with a number which I agreed on. Based on that, I asked for an appraisal voucher before I start driving an hour to the dealership. She refused by saying "They are in business for 28 years and don't change their mind" as showing in the texts. So I trusted her and made an appointment next day. I get to the dealership, and her manager looks at the car, and Vanessa comes back to me saying the most they can offer me is $55k which is more than more than $10k difference from what she quoted over her texts. She said the manager thought it was a different trim level. This is obviously a lie because with VIN # you can find out everything about the car including trim levels, and I told informed her in the texts what trim level the car is. At the end, it was obvious that she just wants customers to put in her system and doesn't care about customers or anything! It was a total waste of 2 hours of my time, putting miles on my car, and wasting gas. DO NOT GO THERE! read more

The service department has gone down. Have been bringing my car here the last 5 years but never again. Took it in last month to see why the check engine light was on, they had the car 4 days and charged me $800 and when I got the car back 2 days later the engine light came back on. Took the car to a trusted mechanic this time and he said Nissan broke the plenum gasket. I took it back to baker Nissan and the manager didn't come out to speak with us, didn't receive a call about the car the next day and had to call them to see what was happening with the car. They said the check light was back on because we didn't have a factory battery in the car. Went to get the car and will never return! Have yet to get a response from the kid they call a manager, Tony Castillo. He won't respond to calls or in person. Very unprofessional. read more

Called this dealership to set up getting factory radio reprogramed. Was told one price and then another price for them to run a diagnostics on the radio. I explained the radio was pulled out and then reinstalled and it just needs to get reprogramed to the car. Nothing was changed with the radio the display does not come up until it is reprogramed with J2534. Will be going to another dealership. read more

Run away!!! These shifty, rude, "people" will screw up your vehicle. They were supposed to do body work to my truck, so tell me how they tore off my sun visor and my rear view mirror jiggles like jello. They told me very rudely(while Geico listened silently on the line) that they would fix this with in 2 weeks. They was in June and yes it's mid August now and guess who never called to say the parts were in. Now comes the good part... 6 days after I had my truck back, driving down 249 toll road MY FOG LAMP ASSEMBLY FLEW OFF MY TRUCK. When they replaced the chrome bumper section they re installed the assembly wrong and they have yet to contact me about fixing that. They told Geico no one is getting my messages. I met with Jamal who was 15 minutes late for our appointment. My intentions were to purchase a car for my daughter, however, that changed due her father wanting to be involved in the process. Jamal's demeanor changed once we asked to see cats under 13,000.
