The tots are crispy all around, fluffy on the inside and have a solid crunch to them. Service is fast and friendly, and the vibes are chill. Small space but it's super cozy if you can grab a table. Cheeseburger is fresh and one of my favs but be sure to unwrap the bottom because the juices will collect and splurge out when you don't expect it. So happy a new delicious sandwich spot just opened in Dogpatch! The Bandit sandwich - the sauce!!! Their signature aioli goes perfectly with the soft eggs and soft brioche buns. The bacon is also thick and crunchy to contrast the soft buns. The portion wasn't huge but filling enough which was perfect for breakfast. Latte - I didn't know they had coffee because it wasn't on the menu but there's an espresso machine when you walk in so that's how you know! The latte was good, it's just what you expect :) The workers were really friendly, love the new addition to Dogpatch! There were a few tables for 2 and some bar seating for larger groups - you can either grab and go (like I did) or sit inside. I'd been to the Nob Hill one when I was living around there and now it seems like they've created a mini-empire with one opening at 18th and Dolores. We tried Bandit for the first time, since it was close to Neighbor Bakehouse (our goto spot for unique baked goods). We shared the Hot Mess breakfast sandwich and the Fobidden Greens salad. The salad was refreshing and the Hot Mess sandwich was satisfying, but I prefer a bit more spiceness to my chicken. Terrible customer service as soon as I walked in. I guess they were backed up with online orders so they asked me to wait, which wasn't an issue. My issue was when they blatantly ignored me when another customer walked in inquiring about her order which wasn't ready yet. They then proceeded to hand me my order which was incorrect. I ordered one brekkie with egg and one without. They made both sandwiches without. I asked them to add egg to one and they said "we assumed you didn't want egg on both since that's what you put in the instructions." I stated that those instructions were only for ONE sandwich and I'd appreciate them correcting it. They proceeded to tell me they can provide a side of eggs I can put on the sandwich myself because it would be easier on them. I asked them to kindly put the eggs on the sandwich which only took them 5 secs. I didn't understand the inconvenience of fixing something I paid for and provided clear instructions on. Anyways, we couldn't even eat the sandwiches because the pork pattys were undercooked. I won't be giving my money to this location anymore. The workers are rude and lazy. I want to be clear, I've never had this issue with the one on Geary. These sandwiches are bomb and I was highly disappointed with the entire interaction and food itself. This is my favorite burger place in Dogpatch! I typically get the Bad Mofo or Notorious with an extra beef patty. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they always have some great music playing. My first time trying the bandit was the one on Geary at like 9pm. It was so good! That was during pandemic times. Fast forward to present time. I live in the Bayview and saw on Uber Eats that there is a bandit in the dog patch! Ordered a Brekkie and Horchata Latte for my bf and I got the Fancy and tots. It arrived a little later than expected and we didn't realize the delivery had been made for 8min. Not Bandit's fault. But it definitely affected the experience since the food was already cold by the time we ate. He still loved his sandwich- but not the horchata coffee. I tried it and it was NOT good. The Horchata was wayyyyy too sweet and too much. And that's saying a lot since my BF loves horchata (he's Mexican) and he loves sugar with his coffee. I remember the very first time having coffee with him and I asked, "would you like some coffee with your coffee? Lol Maybe if they only added 1/6th of the cup instead of half? I dunno. Not for us. My fancy sandwich was great- but the bun felt dry and old to me. It's possible that it was the result of sitting on the porch for 8min? But I would think the heat/steam from the sandwhich would've made it softer and moist instead of dry. This branch of Bandit recently opened near us so we popped in to try their breakfast sandwiches. It's a small space but laid out very well and has lots of natural light. Also in a fun area near bars and other restaurants! I tried the Brekkie (their most popular sandwich) and my wife tried the Bandit Sandwich with a side of salty tots to share. Food was delicious and we left full and happy. I especially liked the jalapeño relish on the Brekkie, it added a nice kick. We tried their namesake The Bandit and The Brekkie and enjoyed them both. The Brekkie has a jalapeno relish that made the bottom of the bun a bit soggy, but the relish was delicious so I can't fault them too much for that. Tater tots were nice and crispy. They also made a really nice lavender latte, which I love and not many places offer. There are a few tables and a parklet. Service was friendly. There's been a breakfast void in this area since Just For You closed so Bandit is a welcome addition. We'll definitely be back to try their burgers. read more
