Nice, clean little shop with attentive service and easy, free parking. We went in for macaron ice cream sandwiches after having a picnic lunch in a nearby park on a warm day. I did not understand what the "Bango Rolls" were on the menu, but they luckily had some pictures on the wall to show what the final product looks like. They had a bunch of topping options so you could mix and match to your heart's content. We just got the macaron ice cream sandwiches since we hadn't ever had them before (and that's how we found the place), but next time we will definitely try the rolled ice cream. A few small tables lined the wall with metal chairs, so you can sit and eat your ice cream instead of having to take it to-go. If there's one thing I would like to see improved here, it's having cushions on the chairs. Seems like a creative little ice cream shop though, so we would definitely go back.

Bango Creamery has stolen my heart!!! Ice cream lovers- you have to try this place! When I first saw this biz on Yelp I was a little hesitant because I had never heard of rolled ice cream before, but they had great reviews so I thought why not try it out! The staff were so nice explaining what it is and the process. They have lots of flavors to choose from- I zoomed in on the Vietnamese coffee flavor. I love coffee ice cream and this is the BEST I've ever had. It is so creamy and bursting with flavor. The rolled cups come with three toppings, I always get three scoops of oreo crumbles. It is so addicting it's scary. Every bite I am audibly like "mmmmmm" They also have ice cream by the scoop and macaroon ice cream, but I honestly feel if you're here, you gotta get the rolls. I've been a few times in that last couple weeks because I have a problem when I find something I love- I can't get enough. And for Vday they had so many cute decorations and a photo backdrop. Just such a fab business all around. Bonus, they are open late! I always tend to go out to dinner and dessert later at night to avoid traffic so it's a great option! One more shout out to the staff who are so amazing. Thank you for always making us feel welcome! Will be back soon!

I haven't had rolled ice cream in ages, but it was 80 degrees out and I wanted a sweet treat, so my friend and I decided to give Bango Creamery a try as we were in the area. We came by Wednesday afternoon around 3 pm and it was completely empty. So many flavors looked good, but we settled on the Mango Go since we both love mango. All of their rolled ice cream goes for $12. It was fun to watch them make the rolled ice cream right in front of you. Afterwards, you can choose 3 free toppings, so we got coconut, mango, and strawberry. The ice cream was really good! We loved the vanilla + mango combination and want to come back to try some of the other flavors. They're generous with the toppings too! Definitely recommend sharing here, as one order of rolled ice cream is a lot especially if you're coming for a post-meal treat.

This is my favorite local rolled ice cream shop. They offer unique flavors like Monkey Business (banana, Nutella, vanilla), Strawberry Shawty (strawberry, graham crackers, vanilla), Fruity Bam Bam (Fruity Pebbles, vanilla), Horchata (horchata, cinnamon), Cap'N Crunch (Cap'N Crunch, vanilla), Cookie Monster (Oreo, vanilla), and a few other flavors. They also offer bubble waffles and ice cream scoops. The ambiance is clean, inviting, and casual, a pleasant spot to enjoy desserts with friends and family. The interior is typically clean and well-kept, with an open feel where you can watch your rolled ice cream being made, which adds to the interactive and lively atmosphere. There's plenty of parking available, too! The service is usually very friendly and welcoming. The employees have been pleasant to interact with on all of my visits, both when ordering and serving. The only downside is that certain employees can be greedy with the toppings. Each rolled ice cream is made fresh to order, which I truly appreciate! Because of this, service can take a little time, but I always prefer quality over speed. I've tried almost all of their rolled ice cream flavors, and there isn't a single one that I didn't like. My top three favorites are Fruity Bam Bam, Horchata, and Cookie Monster (in that order). An honorable mention is Cap'N Crunch. This shop uses high-quality ingredients, which results in fresh and delicious rolled ice cream. The rolled ice cream doesn't taste overly sweet or artificial. You are also allowed to choose up to three toppings to add on top of the rolled ice cream. The toppings include things like sprinkles, crushed cereal or cookies, nuts, coconut shavings, and much more! Overall, this shop greatly stands out from your typical generic soft-serve shops. With high-quality ingredients, excellent service, and plenty of options to choose from, Bango Creamery is a must-visit destination! Date: May 13, 2025 I've had this place bookmarked for the longest time and finally got to check it out for my son's birthday dessert. Arrived around 8pm and there was an online order ahead of us. We ordered: #2- Strawberry Shawty (strawberry, graham crackers and vanilla ice cream) - $12 ^ this one was good! Wasn't sweet and loved the crunch the crackers made. #8- Mango Go (Mango puree and vanilla ice cream) - $12 ^ this one is bomb! I LOVE mangos but even hubs loved it and he doesn't like mangos! Perfectly consistency and loved the taste the puree adds to the vanilla. Absolutely love that you get to add as many toppings as you like to it and that they have so many choices to choose from. We had two employees working at the same time so our order came out super quick and we sat down and ate it as well. Spoons and napkins are on the side of the toppings area. They have a bathroom which is super convenient! Super cute space with handful of tables and chairs. Overall a great experience. Thanks for making my babies night !

This place is always a go to for rolled ice cream in the valley. The portions are easily shareable between two people and extra toppings in the mix are only $0.50 cents. They have good flavors to choose from and the place seems to now be family owned and the staff always greets us when we walk in and are attentive to our requests. They have hooked us up here and there with toppings and even water. We will definitely keep coming back to Bango!

Their Presentation is spot on. They are very clean inside of their store and on the outside which I definitely appreciate. I also like the rolled ice cream look and how early they do it. The reason why I have given three stars is because this was the second time me going and giving it a chance which I am happy I did because it did confirm my feelings from the first time. The ice cream is good however it tastes thick and buttery which isn't to my liking. However to keep in mind everybody has different taste buds and me I love ice cream but this ice cream isnt it for me. The first time I came I felt the same way but I didn't know if my feelings were off that day so I wanted to come back and try it again and it still taste that way. Also the first time I went I felt that the people that were working we're a little bit rude and that also gave me a weird vibe so I hesitated going back. But I thought to myself maybe I'm just being emotional so I came back today and the guy was very nice and I appreciate that it's just that ice cream isn't to my liking. If you're asking, "What is Bango"?, then it behooves you to come in and find out. Bango is a type of instantly made, delicious ice cream that curls into little rosettes. Then you get all the toppings you want. Bango is prepared by first macerating any principal ingredients like banana, Nutella, Captain Crunch on a flat, super-cooled disc. The ingredients are spread out until they are thin. Then the ice cream maker pours a sweet cream (chocolate, vanilla, etc.) onto the disc, where he smooths and flattens it while it freezes. The net result is a flat, frozen cream. Then the bango-maker uses the smoothing spatula as a scraper, rolling the frozen concoction into rosettes and adding them to the cup. The whole bango-making process is a sight to behold. Children will stare in fascination and scream to come back. The child within you will squeal with delight as the simple ingredients become a heavenly treat. The shop has a modern feel, with blackboard menus and smart pricing. The bango is priced a bit high, but it's worth the show. And the result is enough to share with a loved one. I went in most recently on a Wednesday night, and there was no wait. I would expect this place to have a line out the door given the incredible, unique dessert on offer. No matter. But I suggest you run, don't walk, to get some of this delicious nectar of the gods. read more

Very nice ice cream dessert!! The rolled concept in my opinion, is neat because just as quick as it was made, it quickly melts and goes down the mouth so smooth. We loved the Vietnamese Coffee flavor and highly recommend!!! There was a long wait on our visit on weekend evening, but it's understandable with its popularity for a simply great dessert! Very tasty & slightly lighter than regular ice cream. Got the Chocolate love & a Vietnamese coffee with nuts. The kids got oreo and loved it. The Vietnamese coffee had a great full coffee flavor. The Chocolate Love was really tasty, had a fun crunch and kinda tasted like marshmallows. They're very sweet though like regular ice cream. The place is cute, located in a plaza with parking. Prices are ok since it's a pretty big portion for ice cream. Unfortunately the guy working there is a bit rude & not welcoming. Maybe we caught him on a bad day? He rolled his eyes and shook his head at another customer, kinda made me feel like we were bothering him. We must of come on an off day. We usually go to the one one in Encino and love it! Decided to try the one closer to home, we will never come back. The two kids working were extremely rude. They mixed up the toppings and when we brought it to the workers attention he tried to argue with me and told me I was wrong when three other people clearly saw him make the mistake. He then rudley asked what I wanted him to do about it and when I told him make us new ones he got extremely upset and told the other girl who took my sons bowl and threw it in the trash. I like their rolls but for the price and the type of service we got, we won't ever be back. read more

I got the flavor Monkey Business (Banana, nutella, & vanilla - you can't go wrong) for $7. Toppings are free and I went with fruit - strawberry and banana. It was a pretty good combo which worked with the tartness of the strawberries. It's a small place with 6 tables for couples. I got here on Sunday around 6pm and there was no line. Only people eating. They actually close at 11pm everyday, which was surprising. They have so many other flavors to try. I for sure wanna try the Thai Tea one next time I go. I'm glad this place is close to home and it's also located in a big plaza so there is plenty of parking. Yay! Also, don't forget to join the 5 Star program (if you aren't already signed up) so you can earn points for this place. More reason to get something for just eating ice cream. Who's going with me? This place is not a bad place for rolled ice cream. I find it a bit overpriced at $7 a rolled ice cream. I saw the workers scooping ice cream out of a thrifty container so the quality definitely isn't amazing. Another downside is you can't create any flavor combos. They have set flavor profiles that you choose from. They offer ice cream, rolled ice cream, stuffed waffles, and mini macaron ice creams. It's not a bad stop if you're in the area but I've definitely been to better rolled ice cream places. The workers were friendly and there was a parking lot. read more

Let my start off by saying, I'm not usually a big fan of ice cream nor sweets. But, when my wife asked if I wanted anything, Bango looked too interesting to pass up. I'm glad I didn't! I ordered the Strawberry Shawty. Don't judge me, but I couldn't pronounce it right . I loved the texture of the rolling. They were like little carved circles. The flavor was not overly sweet. Hidden gem in the valley for sure. Flavors are bold. I had the Vietnamese Coffee - really strong coffee flavor. I loved it. First timers at Bango Creamery! Got the lost in Thailand rolled ice cream with chocolate bubble cone & my boyfriend got the original bubble cone with green tea ice cream scoops. The thai tea rolled ice cream had a unique and different taste if you compare it to Thai tea boba smoothies. My boyfriend loved the green tea ice cream and tasted as expected! One of the best in Los Angeles. They use the freshest ingredients. Get the strawberry shawty rolled ice cream. This isn't strawberry purée, this is real strawberry. Absolutely blown away with how fresh the cream is, not overly sweet. I discovered them a week ago and I've been back 3 times. I've been to others where they use a premixed cream, gross!!! If you are looking for a solid dessert place in Van Nuys, this is a good option. They have a variety of flavors for their ice cream rolls. They even have a thai tea flavored one. The combos are pretty simple - usually vanilla ice cream mixed with 1 or 2 flavors (i.e. fruit mixed in, etc) but you get to choose 3 additional dry toppings. I ended up getting a hong kong style waffle with strawberry cheesecake ice cream. If you choose a waffle, you get more limited options for ice cream flavor. When I went, there were 3 flavors to choose from. Overall, I'd say this place is a pretty good value. I believe it was $8 for a large waffle plus ice cream and toppings. read more

My friends and I came here and loved it! I got the strawberry shawty, it was so yummy. It was like eating a strawberry shortcake. My friends got taro and Thai tea which was super flavorful. My sister, bestie and I always come here, it's always a must have every time we go out. They're always super clean and very humble with great customer service. And their ice cream is always top notch, as for the toppings (Definitely worth the price range). It can also be a bit busy sometimes and makes the wait a little longer. But it's ice cream being FRESHLY MADE!! so it's very understandable, I'm a very patient girl :) It's always a pleasure coming here! read more

This place is good but their Yelp said hours were updated two weeks ago. It is 10:06p and they're closed even though it says 11:30p. We drove out of our way to get here so this is unfortunate. Yummy ice cream though so just call before you drive here. read more

When he came back out, he points to the chair and say you can sit down now. Customer service needs everything to me to include management having a responsibility to the customer that support their business. I just feel that if I were Asian, he wouldn't have addressed him in that way.

This new spot is a great addition to Van Nuys and the neighboring cities. Whenever I visit my old neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley, I always try to enjoy new places as well as my old favorites. Bango Creamery is the one ice cream shop that I will try to come back to as often as possible because the ice cream is that good! My favorite is the Thai tea rolled ice cream (Lost in Thailand). Sometimes I like to order Vietnamese coffee rolled ice cream too. The ice cream is of great quality, and they offer unlimited toppings. I like to get almond slices and mochi. read more
