Delicious, fresh and the perfect amount of heat! I ordered the vegan banh mi, vegan egg rolls, and a side salad. The salad came with an excellent chili-based dressing. The egg rolls had a similar dipping sauce. The sandwich is packed w/ cucumbers, shredded carrots and cilantro. The veggies didn't seem to be pickled which is different than I'm used to, but honestly it didn't change anything for me. Extremely reasonably priced! Must visit. read more

We tried this place for the first time today. Ordered two different bahn mi sandwiches, a wrap and the Lemongrass Chicken Salad. OMG...everything was so delicious!! Huge portions, too! This will definitely be one of our our go-to places for take out! It's hard nowadays to find takeout with portions that are worth the price. Wow! Finally a highly rated place on Yelp in the Vancouver area that is actually worth the stars. I have tried so many new places with decent ratings that have been HORRIBLE... I mean barely edible. (Actually not edible because most was thrown in the trash.) My hubby and I noticed the cart a couple weeks ago, but we didn't know what kind of food it was for. Today, hubs had a hankering for Mexican candy (we're from California) so we stopped at the little tienda in front of this place. When I saw the sign for "Banh Mi", I knew I had to try it. (There hasn't been one Asian food place, let alone Vietnamese place nearby that I have liked, except one Chinese place). Anyway, we ordered two regular lemon grass chicken banh mis and two with eggs on top, we're fat, don't judge. They were delicious! The owner is a Vietnamese lady who is from Vietnam and moved here a few years ago, so you know it's authentic. Everything was fresh and the variation of sauces/ingredients that Viets use is one of my faves, even for me (I'm Korean). She hit every nail on the board. The price is outstanding, $4.50 for a regular sandwich and I think $6.50 for the egg, but we didn't check because we were just so amazed at the price for the regular one. The only thing I would change is that the chicken was shredded (my least fave way to make chicken), but it was good so it didn't even matter. Go here if you want good banh mi sandwiches. read more

Not a bad place. The lemongrass chicken over rice was pretty good. The sauce they put on the chicken was delicious. The lady who took my order was super sweet. She gave me some good suggestions as I had never been there before. I would go back there again. It's nice they will bring in your food inside Brothers Cascadia as well. Wow! You must try their Bahn Mi and eggrolls! I got the lemongrass chicken Bahn Mi...YUM! They make their bread fresh every morning and really hook it up with the ingredients and size of the sandwich. So delicious. Their eggrolls are made fresh to order and come with a delicious sauce. Highly recommend! This truck is parked next to a great brewery as well, score! The owners are so awesome and sweet and definitely know who to run a food truck. Go show your love and support. Got the beef banh mi and it was amazing. The tender grilled beef and house-made sauce were both super flavorful. The house-made bread was a delight, plus they gave us an extra bread roll to bring home. The cashier and person grilling were friendly and kind. The banh mi was huge and a great deal for the price. So. Delicious. This was my first time having banh mi and I was not disappointed! The pickled(?) carrots were so tangy and crunchy, and the cilantro was fresh. I ordered the lemongrass beef and I'm so happy that I did. Best bahn mi I've had. Got the grilled pork with egg on top medium spice level...just perfect. Love they bake their own bread. Very nice people and pretty quick (under 10 minutes). Also very clean. Would recommend to anyone and will be going back to try other things on the menu. read more

Have enjoyed Banh Mi Saigon for several years now -- my apologies for not sooner posting my 5-star review! The food has been consistently great all this time, but I have to admit I've landed on their WRAP as my absolute favorite. It is 2lbs of awesome... with either the lemon chicken or the pork. I can't get enough personally (well, I can... I can't eat the whole thing in one sitting!), so I've also shared the wrap with a host of friends who've also LOVED it. The Owners are incredibly engaging and friendly -- and will always offer a fried egg in any of their dishes (take them up on this). Consistent. Consistently good. Well done, Banh Mi Saigon. The lemon grass chicken bahn Mi used to be my favorite thing ever - crusty yet soft bread, yummy sauce, lots of veggies. Totally worth the calories Last month or so the recipe changed ... for the worst. The bread is very dense and lacks flavor, tastes 'flat'. The chicken isn't as delicious. virtually no more sauce that made it so yummy so it is a very dry sandwich. Huge lack of consistency between visits. Jalapeños used to be the spice addition but now they cover it Sriracha which is a very bold flavor and overtakes the rest of the sandwich (Please revert back to your original recipe. Probably won't go back UPDATED : dec 22 Decided to give them another go. Sadly it's still crap - the bread is SO bland. The sandwich is still dry and flavorless. Ugh such a let down. read more

Came for lunch. What a great place. Get the pork sandwich and add an egg . Very savory and wonderful. You can hop next door and grab a beer from the Brothers Cascadia. It looks as though they have an excellent selection. My only bitch might be that they are cheap with the hot peppers. I asked for extra spicy and i got barely warm. My coworker had the same comment. Well, before I found the extra hair embedded into my meat I would have given this place a solid 3. The bread is all wrong and not what is traditionally used for bahn mi, so it falls apart as you eat it. The meat had a decent flavor until..again..the hair, which was a different color from mine and glued into my sandwich. We've been wanting to try this place for quite some time and just don't seem to be near it when we're hungry. Well, today was the day and wow was it worth the wait. First impression, the cart was immaculate and the person staffing it was friendly, efficient and amazing at his craft! I got a bahn mi and my wife got a rice wrap, both with the grilled pork. Oh and the home made egg rolls too. We took it to go and at first, honestly was all, that was kinda spendy for a wrap and a sandwich. Well, that was way more than just any sandwich. For one thing both the wrap and the sandwich were neighborhood of two pounds each. The baguette was fresh, crispy outside and perfectly soft inside. The pork, saying it was fantastic and perfect doesn't do it justice. It was one of the best pork creations I've had anywhere. The combo of the meat, the bread, sauce, the veggies was so perfect that I want to eat it every day! Great food, great people, easy location and it may seem a bit on the spendy side,,, but only till your first bite, then it's worth every penny. Oh and then egg rolls, I don't know what exactly was in them,, but get them, you'll be stoked cause they're fantastic!
