Quite disappointed in the speed of service and the taste of my food. The gravy tasted scorched, which affected the flavor of everything else. The portion size was large. It is a counter order and pickup. Seating area was very small and loud. Good people watching on kuhio avenue!

Stopped by Banzai Burger for a quick bite, and ordered the Waimea Burger along with a side of garlic parmesan fries. The Waimea Burger comes with two patties and is extremely filling, definitely a solid option if you're hungry. The garlic parmesan fries were super crispy and packed with flavor. That said, the food was very greasy: there was a literal puddle of grease at the bottom of the tray, which ended up making the bun and the fries underneath soggy and a bit unappealing by the time we got to them. On the plus side, service was fast - our order was ready within 5 minutes, making this a convenient stop when you're short on time. Don't think I would come back here though, given the presentation.

We wanted a quick meal after getting back late from the beach and were craving a burger. We stumbled upon Bonzai Burger and decided to check it out. I ordered the Waimea Burger. It was a decent burger overall. The patty was fairly large and had a good sear on it. However, I felt something was missing, as the burger relied heavily on the sauce to provide most of the flavor. One thing I wish they had done better was the prep. The buns were somewhat soggy by the time we received the food. The bottom bun was already sitting in a puddle of grease, likely from the burger or the fries, which made it unappetizing. The fries themselves were crispy and flavorful at first, but they had the same issue. The grease pooled at the bottom, making the lower layer of fries soggy by the time you reached them.

Banzai Burger offered a vegetarian option- portobello burger and it was amazing!!! One wasn't enough for two so my hubby couldn't really split this time. The garlic fries are really good. Service was fast and easy. You order at the counter and you pick up when your name is called. The ambiance is a chill backyard vibe and the table we sat on kept moving awkwardly as some screws were lose or missing. Overall though, great prices, good food and I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

We wanted to eat something but kept it light so that we don't feel too tired, we ended up having our 1 burger cut in half and served with fries from each half. Food was great, it also had lots of fries for us. The place had outdoor seating within Waikiki, the cashier knew I was in the military so she asked for ID to confirm and had given me a discount too. (Appreciate that so much). Our food was ready within minutes of the order, we sat directly in front of their counter on where it was served, it was sunset by then so we needed extra light as it got darker. It was loud because of how busy it was in the area but, we were so focused in our meal. This is a nice little stop within the Waikiki area at the first floor where Target was located nearby.

I came into Banzai with expectations thinking if it was gonna be a good place to eat, and, sure enough, they definitely delivered. From the look of it, I surely didn't anticipate it to be a small place to sit down and enjoy the food. However, it wasn't that difficult to find a place to enjoy and eat something over there. So...I ended up ordering the Mushroom and Onion Burger (without cheese), and visually, the presentation was striking. They did a good job with the amount of mushrooms on the burger (while not making it really messy). My one issue was that I couldn't really taste the onions. It was subtle, but not sure if it got lost with the amount of mushrooms on there, but, it wasn't really that much to nitpick on, especially when the flavor delivered. They put just enough of that steakhouse sauce to hold up well for the burger. Despite the price, it was good for what it's worth. I almost came close to wanting the Smokey BBQ burger, but maybe next time, I'll consider trying that out. It's a 9.5/10 for me. A bit more onion would have helped out there.

Tried the Waimea Burger at Banzai Burger and let me tell you--this thing was a tower of delicious chaos. Two patties, bacon, lettuce, pickles, cheese, mayo, ketchup, and mustard all crammed into one glorious bun. I needed two hands, a strategy, and a halftime break to finish it. Totally worth it. The BBQ fries came in hot and crispy, though someone in the kitchen definitely went full pirate mode with the seasoning--*a little salty, matey!* Still tasty, just keep a drink nearby. Service was awesome--fast, friendly, and no judgment for unhinging my jaw to eat that burger. Solid experience all around. Would absolutely burger again.

Great burgers.... I got the Waimea, a double cheeseburger with bacon and it was perfect. Their burgers are on the greasy side, but that's not always a bad thing. Also tried their chicken strips and fries and they're pretty good as well.

I don't usually come into town, but I was having a little staycation and wanted a quick lunch. The chicken sandwich is perfectly crunchy and the side ranch was delicious ! My sister and I came by to grab some burgers to eat on the beach. The lady wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. She was actually borderline distracted and impatient towards us. There wasn't much of a wait but I think we went during odd hours. I got the Pipeline Burger and it was huge! The burger patty in my burger had more pink than I expected- pretty sure the center was almost raw. I ate around it. The bun was great and the other ingredients seemed fresh. I actually ordered some onion rings and those did not disappoint. They're super crunchy and very good with some ketchup. It's just unfortunate they don't actually come with the burger as a meal. Would I return? Maybe... if I was super duper hungry or just craving onion rings! read more

I love the fact that this place was across the street from our hotel. Very convenient! The service was okay & we didn't have to wait too long on our food. I ordered the pipeline burger & got the pipeline sauce & banzai sauce on the side. I'm glad I did. I wasn't a fan of the banzai sauce.. it's ketchup & hot sauce. The pipeline sauce kinda tastes like Big Mac sauce if you've ever eaten at McDonald's. My partner ordered the chicken sandwich & she said it was alright. We ordered fries as well.. which was my saving grace. They were okay. I believe my partner enjoyed her food more than I did but I was hungry & it got the job done. Would I come back? I've been here twice and got the same chicken burger both times. It's a little takeaway place with limited dining around, so I would just takeout my sandwich and head over to the beach! The first time, the burger was absolutely amazing! Decently priced for being in Waikiki, very filling, and good flavor! The second time, I ordered the same thing, and think that the chicken was undercooked unfortunately. Still, the sandwich tasted so good that I just kept eating it (knowing that it was likely undercooked) and got mild food poisoning after. This was definitely my fault as I could have returned the burger and gotten another better cooked one, so can't really blame them for my own mistake. If the second sandwich wasn't undercooked, would have definitely given them 5 stars. Still highly recommend checking it out!! My second visit was likely a fluke. read more

Banzai Burger is a location that is at the Kuhio Avenue Food Hall. They charge an extra $1.50 for take out items, which I found frustrating especially when you're only ordering one burger and fries. It would make sense if you ordered more than $20 though, but not just one bloody burger and fries though. I tried the Pipeline Burger, the Waimea Burger, the Local Catch Sandwich, and the Chicken Tenders & Fries. The Pipeline Burger was a standard burger. In comparison, the Waimea Burger was juicy, full-on greasy, and quite flavourful. As a burger person, the Waimea Burger was the definitely better out of the two beef burgers. The Local Catch was substantial in terms of the fish used for the patty. All three burgers were good. As for the Chicken Tenders & Fries, not much to say as it was standard deep fried fare. As for the fries, I do prefer the garlic fries over the french fries. They just sprinkle on the garlic flavouring after the french fries are fried. Definitely would go back. read more

Arrived for breakfast at 8:45. Employees at counter and in kitchen, a single customer eating at table. We were completely ignored by staff as we stood at counter ready to order for about 10 minutes. We ate here our first night in town and again on the second day for lunch! The food is amazing! So much flavor. First night me and hubby both got the Hawaiian Burger w/ Garlic fries (not pictured) . We also got two Mai Tai margaritas . The next day we were walking the strip and decided to eat here again. This time I got Chicken Katsu Burger and onion rings! Big, crispy onion rings. Average burger at best but a plus star for the service with the guy taking orders. Came specifically for the breaded not battered onion rings. When they came out they were battered. Nice lady at the counter, she found out I was from here & gave me Kamaaina discount, nice to know they have that. My uncle loved the Waimea burger and the garlic fries were pretty tasty. Son had Mac n cheese, super cheesy! Waited in line for a while to order but the food came out pretty fast. Tiny eating area, no ac so it's warm, but there is an outside eating area if you want to be outside. read more

This place is a must for me and my husband every time we visit! Christine has THE BEST vibe and sparkle. She put a smile on our faces before we even ordered. We got the pipeline burger and the waimea burger, the pipeline sauce is AMAZING, I could've got 7 more sides it's that good. Christine had us try their house made passionfruit juice and it was perfection. I cannot recommend Banzai Burger enough and if you're lucky enough to go when Christine is there then you're in for the real treat! read more

The rice was super mushy, basically overcooked. There was also SOOO much rice in proportion to the patty. Not a big fan of the gravy/sauce. And def not a big fan of the $1.5 take out charge. Id skip trying the loco moco here and actually get a burger if anything. read more

A neat fact is that there were pictures posted from when the shop first opened up and to see They Daley as a fixture in Chinatown is amazing since they've stuck around and adapted to the development around. The burger was delicious, too. They have an aioli sauce that was good with diced up pickles. Usually I request no pickles but the small bursts really added to the texture and feel of the burger overall. 10/10 would come again!

If an order is given a pickup time, it should ideally be ready or close to ready by then. That was definitely the biggest downside of the experience. The burger itself was good, though not quite worth the 40-45 minute wait overall. I ordered the Umami Wagyu Cheeseburger. It had good flavor, but it was pretty messy, and honestly, I couldn't really tell much of a difference from regular beef. I'm not sure the "wagyu" aspect added much for me personally. I'm usually a very patient person, but this experience left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. I can only imagine how long the dine-in customers were waiting. I'm glad I had the chance to try it, but I'm not sure if I'd come back.

Returned to Banzai Burger this time because it was so amazing when i came last year. I walked in just as they were transitioning to lunch and Christine suggested the sliders and even asked the chef AJ if I could add egg to them (i really wanted some egg). The sliders are made on toasted Hawaiian rolls and the folded egg was perfect. It also came with their delicious fries. While sitting there eating, I saw multiple people come in to Christine saying "do you remember me???" She obviously leaves the kind of impression that makes you want to come back and say hi when you come to town. Check it out for the food and the service!! read more

My Family and I stopped at Banzai Burgers in International Market Place, and it's a game changer for fast food in Waikiki. I tried the Pipeline Burger, and it was the juiciest burger I've ever had. The patty was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were great. Christine was an absolute gem! She was incredibly friendly and radiated true Aloha Spirit, making our experience even more special. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality the moment you walk in. Definitely recommend Banzai Burgers if you're in the area. This place has both amazing food and an unbeatable vibe! Got food here drunk after a booze cruise in Waiks and it was the most delicious burger I had while drunk.... That said, my partner and I had to go back for round 2 sober. Had it sober, yesterday night and was still ono! Had a double patty mushroom burger both times and it's juicy with every bite and even better if you have the garlic fries. Of course it being in International Market Place, Banzai Burger is a little more on the expensive side but I believe it's worth every dollar. Staff and service were incredible and they also have more tables separate from the inside food hall. Highly recommend! read more
