Quite disappointed in the speed of service and the taste of my food. The gravy tasted scorched, which affected the flavor of everything else. The portion size was large. It is a counter order and pickup. Seating area was very small and loud. Good people watching on kuhio avenue!

Stopped by Banzai Burger for a quick bite, and ordered the Waimea Burger along with a side of garlic parmesan fries. The Waimea Burger comes with two patties and is extremely filling, definitely a solid option if you're hungry. The garlic parmesan fries were super crispy and packed with flavor. That said, the food was very greasy: there was a literal puddle of grease at the bottom of the tray, which ended up making the bun and the fries underneath soggy and a bit unappealing by the time we got to them. On the plus side, service was fast - our order was ready within 5 minutes, making this a convenient stop when you're short on time. Don't think I would come back here though, given the presentation.

We wanted a quick meal after getting back late from the beach and were craving a burger. We stumbled upon Bonzai Burger and decided to check it out. I ordered the Waimea Burger. It was a decent burger overall. The patty was fairly large and had a good sear on it. However, I felt something was missing, as the burger relied heavily on the sauce to provide most of the flavor. One thing I wish they had done better was the prep. The buns were somewhat soggy by the time we received the food. The bottom bun was already sitting in a puddle of grease, likely from the burger or the fries, which made it unappetizing. The fries themselves were crispy and flavorful at first, but they had the same issue. The grease pooled at the bottom, making the lower layer of fries soggy by the time you reached them.

Banzai Burger offered a vegetarian option- portobello burger and it was amazing!!! One wasn't enough for two so my hubby couldn't really split this time. The garlic fries are really good. Service was fast and easy. You order at the counter and you pick up when your name is called. The ambiance is a chill backyard vibe and the table we sat on kept moving awkwardly as some screws were lose or missing. Overall though, great prices, good food and I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

We wanted to eat something but kept it light so that we don't feel too tired, we ended up having our 1 burger cut in half and served with fries from each half. Food was great, it also had lots of fries for us. The place had outdoor seating within Waikiki, the cashier knew I was in the military so she asked for ID to confirm and had given me a discount too. (Appreciate that so much). Our food was ready within minutes of the order, we sat directly in front of their counter on where it was served, it was sunset by then so we needed extra light as it got darker. It was loud because of how busy it was in the area but, we were so focused in our meal. This is a nice little stop within the Waikiki area at the first floor where Target was located nearby.

I came into Banzai with expectations thinking if it was gonna be a good place to eat, and, sure enough, they definitely delivered. From the look of it, I surely didn't anticipate it to be a small place to sit down and enjoy the food. However, it wasn't that difficult to find a place to enjoy and eat something over there. So...I ended up ordering the Mushroom and Onion Burger (without cheese), and visually, the presentation was striking. They did a good job with the amount of mushrooms on the burger (while not making it really messy). My one issue was that I couldn't really taste the onions. It was subtle, but not sure if it got lost with the amount of mushrooms on there, but, it wasn't really that much to nitpick on, especially when the flavor delivered. They put just enough of that steakhouse sauce to hold up well for the burger. Despite the price, it was good for what it's worth. I almost came close to wanting the Smokey BBQ burger, but maybe next time, I'll consider trying that out. It's a 9.5/10 for me. A bit more onion would have helped out there.

Tried the Waimea Burger at Banzai Burger and let me tell you--this thing was a tower of delicious chaos. Two patties, bacon, lettuce, pickles, cheese, mayo, ketchup, and mustard all crammed into one glorious bun. I needed two hands, a strategy, and a halftime break to finish it. Totally worth it. The BBQ fries came in hot and crispy, though someone in the kitchen definitely went full pirate mode with the seasoning--*a little salty, matey!* Still tasty, just keep a drink nearby. Service was awesome--fast, friendly, and no judgment for unhinging my jaw to eat that burger. Solid experience all around. Would absolutely burger again.

Great burgers.... I got the Waimea, a double cheeseburger with bacon and it was perfect. Their burgers are on the greasy side, but that's not always a bad thing. Also tried their chicken strips and fries and they're pretty good as well.

This burger place was so damn good, we had to go back the same day to take some to-go back to our hotel to enjoy later- B then compared every burger place to this one, just couldn't compare! Located in Kuhio Food hall, I found on Yelp and had to give it a try. We got the Hawaiian burger and it was delicious. Very good. Something about the combo of pineapple and teriyaki sauce was great. Prices were decent for the area. Highly recommend.

This is a good spot for a fast lunch. Service is great, they are QUICK. The place itself is not that big inside but they offer outdoor seating. The burgers were pretty tasty. I got the pipeline burger, the signature sauce was a little too sweet for my taste but otherwise pretty good. The burgers are a little more on the greasy side. The fries were similar to the McDonald's fries, so I enjoyed them. I would not be opposed to eating here again although I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I'm giving 3.9 stars for the food and 10 stars for their enployee Cheri! She keeps us coming back. No matter how crazy busy it is or how long the line might be, she maintains such a pleasant and welcoming demeanor amidst the hectic environment that surrounds her. We actually will walk by to make sure she's working the register before deciding to go in. Mahalo for being such an amazing person, Cheri! Now for the food. I've had their burgers, loco moco and garlic fries. Their hamburgers are pretty good and will satisfy a craving. The chicken sandwich, every time we've ordered it, has been too salty and overcooked, making the meat unpleasantly chewy, but I do enjoy the combination of their sauce and pickles with the crispy texture of the batter. Loco moco is okay. I honestly think that due to the high foot traffic, they tend to rush cooking the food, which come out either under or over seasoned and over cooked. Now, their garlic fries are my favorite! But I am a fry girl lol so I may be a bit biased. If you're hungry, this is a decent place to fill your stomach. They've got a nice open seating area for you to enjoy the music flowing out of Kuhio food hall, which is always a plus! We live nearby, so whenever a burger craving hits, we come through (mostly when Cheri is there! Haha). read more

Wanted a casual dinner and a burger. Just got in to town... tell me if you heard this one. Place was clean 4/5 Service. 3.5/5. No table service but pretty quick and polite. Food. 2.5/5. Just okay burger. I had the Hawaiian and wife had the mushroom and onion. Bun too greasy, burger was kinda bland and onions bland. Needed salt and well, it needs more. Cool quick spot to grab a burger that is better than fast food. On outside of Kuhio food hall. Back side of international market. Kuhio street side. Yelp directions suck here. After a quick nap, we came here for dinner. We ordered 4 sandwiches (pipeline, 2 Kuhio chicken & local catch), regular fries and garlic fries. Out of the 3 different sandwiches, I was able to try the chicken and the fish sandwiches. Both meats were juicy and hot. Unfortunately, the patty itself lacked flavor. Since I don't eat beef, I didn't try the pipeline. However, hubby said the burger was good. As for the garlic fries, it had garlic flavor but the fries were somewhat soggy. Our order did take a while to be prepared so I'm thinking that the food is cooked to order. read more

Let's start by saying that I love food halls; they are a great way to try local establishments and have various food options in one place. Kuhio Avenue Food Hall in Waikiki, Hawai'i has a fun vibe and I love the layout and decor. I went to Banzai Burger at Kuhio Avenue Food Hall but wasn't impressed. Don't get me wrong, the taste of the meat was fantastic, but the greasiness of the bun was a letdown, at least on the one I ordered. I ended up eating the meat by itself. What we order I ordered the Hawaiian Burger; it was tasty but had too much teriyaki sauce. My husband had the Waimea Burger with the right amount of banzai sauce, he was pleased with his choice. We also ordered a side of fries each (It didn't come with the burger), but just one order could have been enough for both of us. What I like the most about this meal was the location and their open air seating enjoying the breeze at night. read more

Solid casual burger stop if one is craving for burgers during a trip in Honolulu Hawaii main street. Having onion rings is a nice touch as well as Hawaiian burger which is having a pineapple slice in the burger, is also a wonderful touch since one is in Hawaii. I had such a great experience at Banzai Burger in Waikiki! From the moment I walked in, Christine made me and my grand daughter Averi feel so welcome -- she's warm, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. It really set the tone for the whole visit. The food was absolutely spectacular -- fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every bite was packed with taste, and you can tell they put a lot of care into what they serve. The dole whip was refreshingly delish! Between the amazing food and Christine's genuine hospitality, this is hands-down one of my new favorite spots in Waikiki. We came here about 15min before closing. I am not sure if it was because we were the late orders or anything but the food and service that we received wasn't the best. First wise ordering our food was fine - I asked the guy what was better the burgers or the fish?? He couldn't give me an answer. Anyways we ordered our food and waited to go. We ordered the fresh fish burger and a chicken burger and fries. The fries weren't salted at all so we had to manually salt our fries what we got back to our hotel, 2) the crispy chicken burger was overcooked and was soooo dry, and 3) the guy that took our ordered was busy restocking the sodas and forgot to get our food after someone asked their orders that were sitting at the counter. My fish burger was good. I enjoyed it - I thought it was like a filet fish at McD almost. I would try again. From the view of the pictures the burgers are big and a lot of college aged folks visited this establishment. read more

This was one of my favorite places we ate in Waikiki! I got the chicken sandwich and my partner got a burger. We both LOVED it! The food was made fresh and tasted delicious. Service was a little slow, so be prepared to wait a little. Like I said, everything is made fresh! It's in a food court area so plenty of seating. Enjoy! read more

Our first stop after settling down in the hotel. We didn't want something we'd have to wait too long to be seated and to order. However, it was a bit confusing who was in line and who already ordered as there were 2 entrances from the inside the marketplace and from the street. Once that was figured out - order process was simple since not many items in the menu. I did goof up and forgot to order the fries on side for each burger. Burgers came out within 10-15 min. They are the fall apart burgers so make sure to grab lots of napkins. My loco moco was tasty and had plenty of gravy to go with the burger patty and eggs. Seating area is really limited but with the street view pretty cool. Divide and conquer if you have a bigger party - someone grab the table while someone else orders. read more

No service at all. Waitress kind of condescending and ask for at least 20% directly and rudely. Long wait for the food and it does not taste good. THE WORST experience ever. Banzai Burger is the absolute best!! What makes it the best is first of all- the manager Kristine!!! She is irreplaceable, an absolute gem!! She always greets people with a smile, has the best hospitality and truly cares about her customers! She makes sure your experience there is great! The other thing is the food! Food was actually decent, and the waits weren't terrible. The biggest issue was the older woman working the front, we ordered our food and got cups of water. Our food came out relatively quickly but the waters never came, we stood upfront for 15-20 minutes trying to get a water cup and she just kept ignoring us while texting on her phone. She was also very rude to the customers ordering while we sat by and ate. She genuinely ruined our experience at the restaurant would highly recommend just eating somewhere else. read more

We tried the Hawaiian Burger with garlic fries. I thought overall the food was okay. I think that the food definitely has good flavor. The portions and pricing was standard. However, my only critique would be that our food was extremely greasy. There was a lot of grease on the parchment where our food was on and it just tasted a little bit too oily for my liking.I'm not sure if it was that particular day. I would be willing to try it again. read more

Christine is the manager of the store and she took our order. She was very personable and professional. She assisted my family of 5 with our orders as well. They do not take reservations, it's first come first serve. You wait in line, the staff will allow you to go in to order when it's your turn. The staff allows a few people in at a time. Once you're inside, there is another line where you order -- on the left, you order for dine in, and on the right, you order for to go orders. We waited outside for 35 minutes. And once inside, we waited for 10 minutes. After you place your order for dine in, the staff gives you a number placard. You can choose any seating that's available inside or outside. Seating is open seating. Fountain drinks are self serve; sauces are self serve as well. A server will bring your meal to you. Our meal was brought out to us within 10 minutes of ordering. Our meal was incredible; very delicious and fulfilling -- it does live up to its hype. The prices are actually very affordable and fairly priced. I would recommend Paia Fish Market Waikīkī but keep in mind that there's always a line and wait time. I feel that it's not very organized but the staff is very kind and the food was delicious.

They said the place is connected to the barbecue. I was trying to get ahold of a manager. Couldn't seem to find one so I figured i'd go on here and make a complaint. I was getting some barbecue at the barbecue place and some guy with long hair ponytail. I asked him to get a beer. And I asked him if he could open it for me and he told me that if I was. Not able to open it. I shouldn't be able to drink it. I thought it was very rude and disrespectful. I'm 59 years old. I d*** well know how to drink beer. I believe his name is Dave. I wouldn't ask the different worker that worked at bonzi. And they told me his name is Dave. That works in barbecue very disrespectful and rude individual. No character and never smiles. I can't believe somebody would tell me that I shouldn't be drinking beer. Because I can't open the top. He should help me and been polite and helped me. But it's OKI guess that's the help. Banzai Burger is located by our hotel and I wanted to try it, but it had a long line and I was already hangry and decided to settle for a musubi from ABC. Friday, we noticed there wasn't a line during lunch hours and finally got to sit down and try it for the first time. As I'm standing in line trying to decide what to eat Christine greeted us with Aloha and asked what can I get for you? Her energy was very welcoming and I loved how she engaged with us. As a local it's rare to find workers or restaurants that has good service. Christine was so good and made sure she showed aloha good conversations and helpful with letting us know what was her favorites and just making sure we knew that the food would be good. it was also nice to see it wasn't just to us her attitude was 100% with everyone before us and after us as we watched. Her service alone will make us come back and the food being good was just a bonus. me and my partner visited hawaii for a vacation. This place was the one we visited almost everyday !!! the food is so flavorful and you get a good view downtown wakiki . Christina is the person who took care of us majority of the times we came . she is amazing !!!! very bubbly and friendly personality. the way she speaks and treats everyone is very welcoming !!! Me and my boyfriend recommend Banzai Burger 100% ... come whdn the bubbly blonde woman is at work , she will make it worth your while !! Banzai Burger is a fantastic breakfast spot in Waikiki! The food was absolutely delicious -- the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns had that perfect crispy bite, and the nitro cold brew was smooth and refreshing. Returned to Banzai Burger this time because it was so amazing when i came last year. I walked in just as they were transitioning to lunch and Christine suggested the sliders and even asked the chef AJ if I could add egg to them (i really wanted some egg). The sliders are made on toasted Hawaiian rolls and the folded egg was perfect. It also came with their delicious fries. While sitting there eating, I saw multiple people come in to Christine saying "do you remember me???" She obviously leaves the kind of impression that makes you want to come back and say hi when you come to town. Check it out for the food and the service!! read more

My Family and I stopped at Banzai Burgers in International Market Place, and it's a game changer for fast food in Waikiki. I tried the Pipeline Burger, and it was the juiciest burger I've ever had. The patty was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were great. Christine was an absolute gem! She was incredibly friendly and radiated true Aloha Spirit, making our experience even more special. Got food here drunk after a booze cruise in Waiks and it was the most delicious burger I had while drunk.... That said, my partner and I had to go back for round 2 sober. Had it sober, yesterday night and was still ono! Had a double patty mushroom burger both times and it's juicy with every bite and even better if you have the garlic fries. Of course it being in International Market Place, Banzai Burger is a little more on the expensive side but I believe it's worth every dollar. Staff and service were incredible and they also have more tables separate from the inside food hall. Highly recommend! read more
