My friend wanted to try this place for ages so we finally stopped by when we were in the area. Cute little spot in one of the most packed and popular plazas in GG but we came at an odd time, so it wasn't busy inside the store. They have a wide variety of different baos but we decided to go with the Bolsa and the Boss, which is basically the same ingredients except the Bolsa has crispy pork belly and the Boss is braised. We also ordered the salt and pepper wings to share. The food came out fairly quickly and the ingredients looked fresh. I also liked that the bao weren't dry. The duck was fatty and meaty. The grilled ribeye was also juicy and tender. I didn't really like the whole pieces of green onions for the Cow Bao though but that didn't bother me too much since I just removed them. Been coming here to this local spot for the past 5+ years and I can honestly say that Baos Hog has definitely provided such hospitable service and continues to improve constantly. The fries, even if you to-go them will stay remain crispy and provide the right anount of crunch after you leave it out for no more than 10 minutes. Absolutely amazing how they don't get too soggy! Think of like a carne asada fries or super nacho but with an asian twist! I always like to wash it down with their special lychee lemonade. Sometimes I would get their vietnamese iced coffee in the morning which has a perfect balance of milkiness, hazelnut, and cream. Baos hog is located in a supermarket parking lot with plenty of available parking and a great quick lunch location especially if you're closeby on the boundaries in Orange or Bella Terra/Northern Huntington Beach for work. I thought the buns would be small but they're the size of your hand and eating 3 is very filling for me. I ordered on DoorDash so I could quickly pick it up during my lunch break. We ordered the Cha Siu ($4), Boss ($4), and Cow ($4). After our food was ready, we were off to the next place. The Cha Siu was good, the Boss was delicious, and the Cow was also delicious. Obviously from all the pics you see down below, I come here often and order a lot. That I can recall, they've never gotten an order wrong. I love all the options here, if you want a quick snack, the baos are a great option. I personally always get the duck baos and bolsa baos (always a hit since they're easily shareable-one per person). Hungry for more, get one of the rice dishes here. My favorite is the duck rice which usually comes with a duck leg, rice and some cucumbers. Sometimes I opt to switch the leg out for breast meat instead (again so many options here-I never get tired of ordering from here). I've also gotten their Hainan Chicken & Rice, Roast Pork and Rice and Ribeye Steak & Rice (reminds me of bulgogi), all are excellent options if you want something other than duck. I recently realized you can also get a whole duck or chicken from them also. I can't always get into Bolsa, especially on weekends when it's so crowded.
