I was craving a smoothie for the drive back home and saw this açai bowl place that had bowls, smoothies and breakfasts. I got the pitaya which has pitaya banana and strawberries. A bit sour than I would like it and don't really taste the strawberries in it. I should've definitely added almond butter or PB as I saw that was an option. read more

Dinking a star off for being a bit pricier than it should be, but their acai bowls are pretty high quality, and the best in the area since the acai bowl stand in the Mountain View Farmer's market left a couple years ago. I usually get the Cardinal, and even though it sounds basic, is superior to anything you would find at places like Jamba Juice, Vitality Bowl, or Bowl of Heaven. I would say Palmetto's is the only place that maybe compares to it, and only because of the price point -- Palmetto's is more frosty while Bare Bowls is more smooth and sour-y. Before the pandemic they used to let you stamp per order and get a free acai bowl on every N stamps. Sad that they stopped doing that :') read more

Ordered the Rincon and it was the perfect first meal to cool down on a hot day! I ordered a size small and it was very filling, especially since they are generous with the toppings. They hooked it up by throwing in an extra side of granola too! I also ordered it with a honey and peanut butter drizzle. The slices of strawberry and banana were perfectly ripe and fresh. They have three bowl sizes to order from: mini, small, and regular. Some bowls only come in regular size though, as stated on the menu. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving an acai bowl. They are located in the University Ave area and there's a public parking lot across the street with free 2-hour parking. read more

My sister and I wanted to get some fresh juice or smoothies in the morning, so we walked over. Bare Bowls is in the heart of University Ave, so there's a lot of street parking available. It offered a cute, SoCal vibe inside. Since we were the only people ordering, it took around 10 minutes to make both smoothies. I got the Aloha smoothie and added chia seeds, and it came out to roughly $15. I was a bit shocked to see a smoothie so expensive. While it was an 8/10 drink, I don't think I'd come back often. And if I do, I'll probably opt for an acai bowl, since you get a larger food quantity for a similar price. read more

Bowls take a long time to make but it's worth the wait. One of the best acai bowls I've had!! They don't skimp out on ingredients unlike other places, I feel satiated afterwards! The fruits taste very fresh and the staff is nice enough to answer any questions about the menu. I always come back to treat myself !! read more

We were excited to ride our bikes to this newly discovered smoothie shop. We arrived and there was no one else there. They have a good selection of items on their menu that looked tasty to try. I got the Cardinal Bowl and my boo got the PB Dreamin' Smoothie. My bowl had decent flavor, although for the price I would have liked if they asked if I wanted honey as that is a free option (I didn't find out till it was too late). The smoothie was good, she was happy with it and the flavor was yummy. I appreciated that they have a lot of non dairy options for milks, actually most of their items are made with cashew milk or you can substitute it with an alternative. My fiance is severely allergic to dairy and was excited for all the options she could have! Overall Bare Bowls is a decent option however it is pretty pricey for what you get. With a $3 tip, our total came out to $30 for 2 items. read more

Obsessed with the menu/offerings here and the smoothies are 10/10 in terms of thickness/consistency, flavor, and the quality of ingredients. Love that they have so many dairy free options and how well balanced a lot of the smoothies are. The service could often be improved upon, but will continue to return as long as the quality remains. read more

18 dollars for these small avocado toast. Outrageous. I could have driven to the nearest grocery store and I would have spent less than 18 dollars on a loaf of bread and some avocado and other things. One of them had more green stuff than actual avocado. Disappointing. read more

I ordered the Sunrise bowl, came with granola, banana, strawberry, coconut, goji berries, honey on top and almond butter! I also added chia seeds and pineapple! The bowl was average but nothing extraordinary. The price which was a little pricey for about $20 and that's just the small size, if the portion of the bowl was bigger, I would understand. The granola was really dry, stale, and not crunchy at all so they might need to work on that particularly. I'd probably give it another try in the future but not anytime soon but the service was good. The location is great because it's close to many wonderful eating places. It was nice to eat my bowl and wander around the Palo Alto neighborhood! read more

Sign says they close at 4p but they actually close at 3:30p and stops serving at 3p, as I was told by a cashier. I came in at 3:07 on a Monday (oct 17) and got turned away. Disappointed. I've been here several times and had consistent service (and good food!) but not today. To BARE BOWLS: if you're going to stop serving at 3p then please update your sign to say 3p. It's not good business practice to say 8a-4p are your hours when it's NOT. Not a happy customer. read more

Nice little shop, looked clean for the most part. Unfortunately, and most importantly, disappointing customer service. Door needs to be fixed. Extremely slow service. Staff were busy talking with a friend, not focused on the task at hand. Was a bit uncomfortable as I heard them laughing and talking badly about a different coworker while they were working on my bowl. About a 20 minute wait for a single acai bowl on a empty Sunday during lunch time. Unfortunately taste had no redeeming qualities. read more

We swung in to get a couple smoothies after a hike. Good location and a lot of street side parking with a lot across the street. The smoothies were really good and we both added whey protein for an extra 1$. The price was steeepppp! 16.00$ each which seems quite overpriced and inflated. A great smoothie but I'll probably not come back as doesn't seem reasonably price. 9-12$ would be reasonable and they are a very typical normal size as well. Service was great with a self order. Came here after Barry's and got a small Hippie bowl. The bowl came out pretty quickly (~5 minutes). I love that the bowl isn't very sweet and tastes exactly how fruit and veggies would taste naturally blended together. The Hippie bowl has blueberries, bananas, and walnuts on top with hemp and flax seeds. They ask if you want a drizzle of honey on top which adds to the sweetness if you can't do completely plain. The bowls are relatively pricey and of course you can make it cheaper at home, but for an occasional healthy treat, I would come back to Bare Bowls. read more

honestly not the biggest fan of bare bowls. i remember coming here a while ago, and it seems like the price has increased significantly over time while the taste is not as great. this time, i tried the BDOML (best day of my life) bowl, which contained pitaya blended with peanut butter, banana, strawberry, and cashew milk and topped with granola, banana, and hemp seeds. overall, it tasted pretty mediocre. the flavors didn't quite mesh together well and it definitely wasn't worth the 18 or so dollars i paid. the inside of the store is rather vibey and i enjoyed the decor. however, it did look a bit messy and not super well kept. service was also pretty mediocre. overall, i couldn't say i recommend stopping here for acai bowls. read more

When my coworker wanted to grab lunch here, I must say, I was skeptical. Is it going to be filling enough? Looking at the menu, there were so many delicious choices...what to get for my VERY first Bare Bowl?! I decided on the North Shore, (regular size) named after the surfer paradise on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. I like the tropical theme and decor. My fiend ordered the Trailblazer and am avocado toast. She shared some with me. A BIG surprise that the bread is Paleo, but it tasted really good! Not like those other healthier versions I've had before that taste like cardboard. Now, back to the North Shore...halfway through it, I was full already. So glad I didn't get the large. Then we peaked over at the counter again and noticed they also have a mini size. SCORE! That would have been plenty for one person. And yes, I finished my regular and left satisfied. Maybe next time I come back, it'll be a lot warmer and the bows would be perfect for that weather. Considering it was cold outside, which normally I would not like to eat something cold, it was a very promising introduction to Bare Bowls. read more

I was craving an açaí bowl on this sunny day and after reading about reviews of happy customers at Bare Bowls I decided to try it out. To start off, the lady at the register was super friendly when I informed her about my nut allergy. This place is super safe with those with a nut allergy because they use separate equipment to make your food. She said it would take about 15 minutes for my food to come and it actually came quicker! I ordered a small Sunrise Bowl and subbed the cashew milk for coconut water. I also changed the banana topping for blueberries and the coconut for cacao nibs. The texture was so thick and the nut-free granola was so yummy! The location of Bare Bowls is super nice because it is around a lot of good restaurants and cute boutiques. I walked around the area while eating my bowl which was very enjoyable! Parking was not a problem either. Give Bare Bowls a try if you want a HIGH quality açaí bowl or smoothie! read more

This place has a sign that gives you ideas of what to do while you wait for your food. Ask the person next to you how their day is going, think of 5 things you're grateful for, text someone you love and tell them why you love them, and read a book. I like that they gave me these ideas. If you plan on going here, I wanted to share a few ideas as well. You can try to touch your nose with your tongue. You can twiddle your thumbs. This one is my favorite, you can enter a thumb and pinkie war with yourself and see if David can beat Goliath. If you decide to do this one, I'd suggest using them both at full strength even if you have a favorite. This can be the toughest part, but you want it to be a fair fight, without the influence of your mind, which may not be possible. Still it's worth trying, imagine if you wanted your pinkie to win and it did! It was somehow able to defy all the odds! I love a good underdog story. Just be careful, it's not worth breaking your pinkie over, trust me. Also if you decide to twiddle your thumbs before the thumb and pinkie war, just remember to twiddle your pinkies before the battle as well. Ideally, both of them are equally warmed up before the fight. Anyway, feel free to use any of these ideas to pass the time while you wait for your food here. I got the hippie bowl, it tasted super healthy. read more

If you want to wait 20min+ for a $18 acai bowl go for it. The girls that work here have no sense of urgency at all. There was no one else at the time we ordered yet we had to wait 20 min+ Also the front door is heavy af we actually thought they were closed at first cause it was so hard to open. Management needs to rethink who they hire and fix the door. read more

Purchased this cardinal bowl for literally 12$ for a mini. I've been going to this place for years and it used to be awesome but now the quality has gone way down. 12$ for this bowl is outrageous for something that looks this horrible. My husband and I were in town visiting and my brother in law took us to this spot after finding it on Yelp. The servers were pretty helpful and my smoothie tasted delicious. I ordered the Ohana. I believe my brother enjoyed his açaí bowl too! My hubby ordered a shake with peanut butter. It was a bit overpowering to him and wasn't sure what type of peanut butter was used. My goodness, this place is amazing! Food, bowls, smoothies, and squeezed drinks look and taste great, and all are made fresh upon order. There are so many gluten free, vegan, lactose free, and paleo options. I recommend the hippy bowl, north shore açaí, and avocado toast. Yum! If you're looking for a quick fix for your açaí bowl craving, this is a good place to check out! It has so many different açaí bowls to choose from, along with so many juices and smoothies (which I look forward to trying next). I love all the little decorations they included in here, and they really add to the refreshing aesthetic. I chose the trailblazer, which was fresh, sweet, and packed with granola and fruits. Definitely a good, simple bowl to choose, but they do have a bunch of other açaí bowls for whatever you're feeling. Service was okay- they didn't really acknowledge us until we were ready to order, took a bit long to make our bowl, and one girl was even a bit rude to us, but overall definitely great açaí bowls. read more

Yikes this place does not have their act together. My friend and I waited over 50 minutes for our acai bowl, and when I asked the server (after 50 minutes of waiting) where our bowl was, I was hit with an extremely rude and disrespectful response from the server. She mentioned rudely that they were understaffed, new, and pushed me into a refund so that they wouldn't have to make my order (even after I said I would like my bowl since I had already waited for it). I finally decided on a refund since it was clear that they had no idea how to make my order. However, they weren't even able to operate the machine to process the refund since they "entered it in wrong" and asked me to charge back on my credit card instead. Not only was I not able to get my bowl, I wasn't able to get a refund either! This happened to a few other people near me as well. Avoid this place! read more

Had a terrible experience here. To begin, we had to wait 15 minutes to order our bowls, even though we were at the front of the line. My friend and I then noticed that people coming in after us were getting their bowls so we decided to ask them where our bowls were, but they would just tell us 5 more minutes for the next 20 minutes (after we had already waited for more than 30 minutes) and rudely tell us they were understaffed and we should "just get a refund if we didn't want to wait". We finally decided to ask for a refund because we were tired of waiting, but they couldn't figure out how to give us a refund since they "didn't get an order from us," but my friend and I both had proof that our credit cards were charged and showed this to them. We were told to just file a claim to our credit cards. Every time we talked to one employee they would blame the other employees for being new and not knowing what they were doing--it felt very unprofessional. We also heard the employees dissuading other customers from ordering. The store in general seems very short staffed and the staff do not seem to care about the customers or their jobs. We never ended up getting our acai bowls despite having asked them many times and waiting over an hour, nor did we receive a refund! Will not be visiting here again. read more

i was impressed with the unplugged açaí bowl! Actually, it was exactly what i wanted and as close as i could get to being absolutley satisfied, can't wait to be back! (the only thing that could be better would be in Hawaii where their açaí is mixed with guarana berry) so far this is the best in the bay area! Rosemarie, the employee who took the sandwich back, barely apologized made no eye contact and looked away and simply said "it's fine," with essentially no empathy or concern about the fact that I had already eaten a significant amount of an allergen. Food allergies are not a preference or a minor inconvenience. Serving someone an allergen can have serious health consequences, and I expected the situation to be treated with urgency, concern, and accountability. Mistakes can happen, but the dismissive response afterward made the experience significantly worse. This location seriously needs better allergy protocols and staff training on how to respond when an allergen mistake occurs.

HOWEVER: Boba: ABSOUTELY DISGUSTING. This was by far the worst boba I've ever had. It was mushy and all stuck together like a clump of snot. The boba was totally overcooked and literally stuck into one big piece. I never sucked up individual bobas through the straw and instead it came up stuck together and came all at once. It was worse than the instant boba you can buy in stores and make yourself. Some people may argue that "this is a tea shop not a boba shop" well it's on the menu and I ordered it so they're responsible for the quality of everything on their menu. My friends told me that "in China, they actually serve boba with it and this shop went rogue and is selling it." Again, if it's on the menu, it's fair game to factor in to their review. Overall, the tea is excellent but don't get it with boba. The boba is complete trash and a disgrace to boba. Moreover, if I'm just paying for milk tea, it's not worth $7+.

I've had grocery store cakes that were significantly better--this made a Safeway cake seem like it came from a high-end bakery by comparison. Given that this was a staff recommendation, it was especially surprising and disappointing, and my sister was embarrassed she brought it to our celebration. Based on this experience alone, I would be very hesitant to return or recommend this bakery to others.

Depending on how busy it is, we have waited between 12-18 minutes for our drinks (on the high end), but the drinks are always so yummy! They also have an amazing selection of pastries including an everything croissant, cookies, mochi, pistachio raspberry croissant, spinach and feta croissant, and a mushroom croissant to name a few! Their Hojicha Einspanner is sooo good. The Einspanner is so creamy and their Hojicha is the perfect, balanced amount of nutty flavors. Whenever I have ordered this drink, people are always eyeing to see what it is because the presentation is also that good! The Espresso Tonic is also a perfect summer drink and the shot was pulled perfectly. If you want to get some work done here, I'd highly recommend coming early so you can grab a table and to also bring your headphones because it does get busy and loud. I hope this issue gets nipped in the bud and they install some plastic/vinyl curtains on the display case or figure out a way to fix their fly problem so that I can enjoy the pastries again. I'll update the review when I see that it's been fixed.

It looks great as well . There are small area to sit indoor with AC . A lot of outdoor seating . Restroom is near by inside the main building. Lots of parking because this is a hospital and medical facility. They are famous for their Greek and Parisian bread and pastries . Cafe Parisien is located right next to the hospital cafeteria, around the corner and toward the back of the building. Inside wasn't that big, but there are plenty of tables outside. Most of their ready to eat options here were pastries, which I wasn't feeling, so I opted to get one of the savory options they had - a bacon and cheese quiche. An individual pie, they offer to heat it up for you so you can enjoy right away. The quiche was pretty good and paired really nicely with my iced americano. While it didn't blow me away, it was nice to have an option to go to outside of your standard hospital cafeteria food.

Rabbit Rabbit Cream is located in a nice shady area of the Stanford Shopping center and is perfect…read morefor a super hot day. You can opt to sit inside, though there are only a few bar stools by the windows though. Or you can choose to sit outside in the public area, with lots of tables and chairs in the shades. The exterior has a cute black and white color palette which is also reflected in the interior decoration. I love their cute ice cream wall and the rabbit shaped window. Lots of cute photo ops if you want. I love how clean and cozy the interior is :)! You have the options to order with a staff or order it yourself at the self-ordering station. My sis and I picked the matcha ice cream floating in jasmine tea and a matcha ice cream cone. Our orders came out fast within 2-4 minutes. The Jasmine-matcha float was amazing!!! I never thought Jasmine and matcha could be such a great combination. The only downside was that it was too sweet for my taste. I took a mental note to adjust the sweetness level next time. Overall, it was a nice experience and yes, I'll come back for sure to try other items on the menu.
