My jerk chicken sandwich was very bland. My sister had the Easter chicken sandwich which was a chicken patty and not a chicken breast and it also lacked flavor. My parents got the shrimp baskets and they said they were good. We also ordered the cheesesteak sandwich and it had a after taste, like if it was freezer burned. We stepped into this place out of desperation due to the 98 degree heat. Service was fairly slow, but to our surprise the "restaurant" was rather busy, and the servers were doing their best. We ordered nachos and after 25 minutes, we got tortilla chips with cheese sauce on them. 45 seconds later, our Patty Melts came. My girlfriend ordered hers medium, and it came out well done. I ordered medium rare, and it came out still moving. The rye bread was literally soaking wet and unable to pick up. Regardless, they were pretty good. I wouldn't equate this place to a restaurant or a bar. They have some beer and some food. I doubt that a manager exists. Could be a cool spot but I have very little faith that it'll be around long. Our bill came out to $45, for two, after our server apologized multiple times for slow time. I literally could have been more satisfied at Wendy's for an 1/8th of the cost. read more

Very average to low grade tourist trap type place. I'd bet most locals are smart enough to steer clear. When you are in the area sightseeing and are in need of a cold one this is the type of place that happens to be right there. That is how they got me and most likely how they get the bulk of their business. What they serve is not great but they have a prime location for hungry and thirsty passersby. I fully regret stopping in this place for a meal. I had the fried shrimp basket and it was not good at all. The french fries were dry and awful. Everything tasted like it was fried straight from the freezer. Even the coleslaw tasted bad. My kids barely touched their chicken fingers, fries and cheese sticks. Total waste of money and time. Located in a the back of a strip mall that has an entrance from Saint George or Treasury St, it is an easy place to find and in the middle of the old town. Food was so-so, as was service. The blackbean burger was good but my wife could not eat her bacon since it appeared raw. The size of the kid's meal was huge and a good value, as was the side of fries. All side dishes must be ordered separately which could be annoying for a large party and costly for those on a budget. The waitress was friendly but seemed frazzled and unable to manage her time or orders properly. This was surprising since the restaurant was not crowded and multiple floor staff was there. After two hours of walking through St. Augustine with my daughter declining every restaurant I suggested, I was thrilled to find someplace -- any place! -- she would accept. We asked our server Chris about the fish tacos and he recommended them blackened with the catch of the day. I totally agree! The fish was really good and there was a bigger serving than I've seen in fish tacos before, so that was nice. With the larger serving of fish, there were less vegetables than I'm used to, but I'm from California and we put lots of vegetables in everything, so what do I know? Have walked by it many times and finally tried it. Found out I was not missing out. The service was great, the food however left much to be desired. The chicken sandwich was dry, tough and flavorless. The fried pickles and mushrooms were surprisingly devoid of flavor. I should have figured that if it was fairly empty on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't someplace great. The one thing that really pushes it though is instant and not brewed. SMH. Food poisoning. Hubby and I went to Barefoot Bill's on the evening of 3/16/17. Hubby ordered the French dip, which he enjoyed. We shared an order of wings that we both liked, and I had a Cuban sandwich. I ate half of my sandwich with a red wine. The next morning I had diarrhea. Without thinking, I ate the remainder of my Cuban for breakfast. Later that day I was throwing up which lasted all through the night. I called the restaurant on 3/18 at about 11:00 AM and spoke to "a manager". She didn't ask me any questions about my visit but went into defense mode right away. She indicated that food poisoning doesn't set in for 24 hours and informed me their meats are cut fresh every morning. I believe there could have been some cross-contamination or SOMETHING that caused me to become so ill. I didn't appreciate the manager's dismissive tone. All I wanted to do was report it so other patrons wouldn't get sick as well, and to maybe get an apology. Oh, our server was wonderful and the restaurant looked clean.
