Got a coupon for a free pizza for moving into the neighborhood. Called to place my order and told them I had the coupon and asked if it was valid. I was told yes. Then, they took my order but then I was informed I had to pay for the pizza. I asked why they weren't honoring the certificate I received. The gal checked with her manager and I was told they "might" honor it but I had to come in, order, and wait. I don't think so. They lost what would have been a faithful customer. Not cool! Service, was awful... I called in to order 6 pizzas and when I got there I paid the Ridiculous amount of $125 for 6 pizzas. Once I got into the car I noticed I only had 5 pizzas they missed my favorite hot buffalo pizza. I called the store back and asked to speak to a manager. I just moved to Peoria and it was awesome I got a certificate in a welcome package offering a free pizza. My goal was to buy one because this is a nice offer and felt pay back to local places. Pizza was undercooked crust was like a frozen but taste was ok. Overall sadly with the experience and all highly unlikely to return. Pizza and wings are perfect for any night out just don't feel like cooking. They aren't the best but they are pretty good. I do like that they don't put too much sauce and we did have to ask for extra cheese to get that pizza super cheesy. Reg cheese just isn't enough. We decided to eat at Barro's a couple nights ago. We are a Pickleball group who play pretty hard in a meetup R/R once a week. Open play on other days. Since we were pretty famished we went here. The service as always was good and we got our orders within ten minutes considering we were 12 deep lol! I prefer thin crust pizza but this is the only thick crust pizza I'll eat. It had a nicely toasted, soft fresh crust with all of the delicious toppings. Not a fan of cheese filled crust pizza as some that prefer all that cheese are. To each his own. Anyway it was a fun group and a great foodie choice. On occasion we order here and take it home. Never a disappointment. Glad they're so close to home. Around a 5 min drive for a 5star experience. Just when I thought I was sick of pizza, I ended up at Barro's. I've never seen such a squadron of youngsters so friendly and helpful. When they say "20 minutes", my pizza's ready in 15. These kids are on the ball. The crust? Not too thin, not too thick. Just right. Tasty. Soft. Sauce? Great! Not too thin, just the right amount, not too salty or tangy. Great cheese, generous toppings. My mouth is watering. So many specialties I have to try...I wonder about that kona pizza with terryaki sauce, chicken, and pineapple. Sounds yummy. I don't usually post pictures with my reviews, but Barro's Pizza deserves a special exception. I ordered a Large Anchovy Pizza, and it was swimming in oil. Like, the box was soaked. This was the greasiest, oiliest pizza I have ever had. You can see for yourself in the photo I posted. Also, notice the lack of anchovies. There were barely any on the pizza. Considering it was the only topping I ordered, you'd think they would put more on there. And it's too bad because I was really craving anchovies for some reason. Let's talk about the sauce. It's weak. It tastes like it was store bought. Another let down. The ONLY thing saving Barro's Pizza from a one star review is that the service was quick and friendly. I should also mention that the value wasn't dreadful at $12 for a one-topping large pizza. In the end, Barro's Pizza earns two stars, and a finger-point of shame. read more

We arrived to our hotel a bit late, starving and luckily Barro's delivered to our hotel. That being said I am not sure it is a good thing. Maybe the pizza is better in the restaurant but I was SO disappointed in the cheese sticks as well as the pizza especially after reading other reviews. The food here is always good. The only problem is their service in attitude. Especially if you're a guy and go in there and eat alone. I mean customers have jobs and can't always bring friends and family members with them, right? The lady working the counter was friendly, and quick taking my order. No complaints there. My food took longer then usual and came out after people who arrived 10 minutes after me got their food. Ok no big deal. Then my pizza finally came out. It looked good and tasty. But I also ordered a spaghetti. When I brought up the missing spaghetti, I feel she didn't appreciate that. She went and found it. I had dinner with my bf and his family here last night and I have to say I was pretty impressed. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life, but for a casual sit down pizza place, it was pretty good. The place was nice and they had a few big screens up, and a little arcade area for the kids. We ended up getting 3 XL pizzas which was more than enough for our group of 10ish people. This location hands down the WORST for a Saturday evening sit down with the family. Deserves negative stars. We would order from Barro's on dysart and camelback at least once a week, and I was never disappointed. My family and I have recently moved to Peoria, we had been ordering from different pizza places which have all been garbage. I decided to order my local Barro's for the first time since I've been in Peoria and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
