Haven't been to a BR in years. Recently installed their app so was gifted a free scoop. Decided to pop in after dinner next door. Walking in, this was a rather large store. A nice freezer of ready-made ice cream cakes ($29 a $79!). Sadly, one of their freezers was not working (dark) so more like ten-15 flavors were available. Ice cream was nicely scooped/presented as always, although like most things, the price has gone up...a little over $5 for a single...I noticed that pre-packed containers were $15. Inflation hahaha! Attended grand opening ceremony on Saturday Nov. 11 at a new location in the Albertson shopping center in Diamond Bar. It is nicer and bigger place. I won a ice cream scoop from the spin game. It was one time only &1.31 scoop day. I got myself mint n chip and new Turkey Day Fixin". Both were super delicious. The service was wonderful. read more

At first I thought this place was closed because the open sign was turned off but when I pulled the door it was open. The place inside was very dim like not all the lights were on. As I walked in, I noticed one of the freezers with ice cream was out of service and there wasn't many flavors left. Only 5 flavors to pick from! There was a huge long line and some customers ended up leaving because they didn't have the flavors they wanted. There was only one employee and she looked stressed with the big line working all alone. She said it was her last day because the owner is never here and there is no help. She even said they don't have dipped chocolate cones or waffle cones because they only make a couple at a time (they don't make them everyday) because the owner doesn't like to waste things. So not many options here! I wouldn't come back and the prices are more expensive here then other Baskin Robbin's. Save your money and go to another Baskin Robbins. read more

I love ice cream and Basking Robbins in Diamond Bar has been a tradition in our family. The new place is clean and spacious, they have a great variety or flavors and the menu is full of choices. It looks like this place has rubbed people the wrong way when reading all the negative comments and I feel the same with my most recent visit today. My wife ordered a screen printed cake for a friend's birthday that we are celebrating today but when I went to go pick it up, it was not what we expected. What I was presented was a pixelated image that was printed on the cake instead of an actual image (picture of the cake attached to this review). I showed the owner the image that was supposed to be printed onto the cake but then he became extremely defensive and rude. He pretty much told me he can't do anything about it and it's out of his hands. I had my wife on the phone when I was talking to him so she wanted to speak to him but he refused to talk to her. He kept insisting she drive here herself so she can talk to him in person. This was a place my wife and 3 kids visited with their friends at least once a week after jiu-jitsu. The owner knows my wife and kids so we were absolutely stunned by the his behavior. I will have to say that our family will never be returning to this location. read more

I ordered a cake here for my husband's birthday. I ordered it online and picked it up in person at the store. It was kind of a confusing process at first because the store was still newly opened and didn't have a direct phone number. I had to call customer service to get in contact with the owner directly to ask my questions. I am sure that as time goes on, it will be easier. Besides that, the owner was nice and friendly and I had a good experience with picking up the ice cream cake. Plenty of parking in the plaza. read more

Sunny ,the owner, is a nice man , but very desperate and stingy with service . It makes for an uncomfortable environment , and is why I typically choose to go to other locations . I suggest he be more generous and customer service oriented , turn on the lights , fix the freezer, lower the prices to match neighboring city prices , be generous or at least reasonable with toppings , accept app rewards, and he will have better results with clients returning and his business will pick up . Love the new location and look of the store. Staff needs a little more training in register use and packaging. Came in tonight for a couple of sundaes, even when being first in line it took 15 minutes to get my ice cream and pay my bill, from the time they started making it, it was melted by the time I got it, you can see in the pics. I'm not surprised it closed. Hopefully the owner reads and sees why his business went under. The owner has always been pushy even when he was at the old location. We stopped coming here because he would upsell us in front of our young kid. We would go in for a single scoop and every time he would look at my kid and say, "you don't want one scoop, you want two don't you?!". The first time I thought it was on the house, like a kind gesture- nope! He charged me for two scoops. He continued to do that every time even though we kept asking him to stop. He only got worse by trying to make people feel bad for him by turning off the lights to "save money" and having his young child serve people because he couldn't "afford a staff" so they would feel sorry and buy more (it's all over our city's fb page with people brining it up). If the owner is reading, please do better on your next business venture, people really liked having a baskin Robbin's in our city, you just started getting creepy the last 6 years and it's really what caused your location to fail. read more

Been coming here for years to get fudge crunch cake. At least 2-3 times a year for my family's cakes. The last time they messaged and didn't have what I ordered so had to pick something different, not a huge issue. But this time when I got home the cake was a regular ice cream cake and not fudge crunch. I brought it back and the owner (Sunny) was instantly confrontational and started crossing his arms telling me I was wrong (when picking up, the box was not marked fudge crunch and when I asked, they said it was). I asked nicely to have it replaced even though it was already after our party as my kid just like fudge crunch. Owner refused. Any place with decent care for the customer would've easily taken care of this especially from a long time customer, but don't expect any care here. Be warned. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a Baskin Robbins before. The service is terrible; upon walking in I saw a man behind the counter (presumably the owner based on other reviews) laughing very loudly on the phone and ignoring me. Another person came in during this time and was also ignored. I stood by the freezers for a few minutes before a kid that couldn't be older than 10 (owners daughter?) came up to the counter and asked what I wanted. The lights were dimmed and the whole place just had an uncomfortable, unwelcoming feeling. Additionally, as other reviews noted, one of the freezers wasnt working and they overcharge for the ice cream compared to other nearby locations. I usually don't leave negative reviews- or even make a big deal of bad service- but after reading about others' experience at this location, I wanted to share mine as well and implore you to take your business somewhere else where you wont be ignored. The owner needs to be held accountable for his negligent, rude service and I understand now why the place was so empty and run down. This location is not an accurate representation of the franchise and either needs to be shut down or undergo a change of ownership to even begin to be decent. Take your business to the location on Chino Hills Pkwy or Coldstone. No one deserves the stingy treatment, poor maintenance, and horrible service at this location, so don't even bother. read more

One star because the store was clean. But everything else was amiss. I decided to overlook the atrociously assembled cakes because they have always tasted decadent and delicious historically. Sadly the cakes are not what they used to be. It tasted like it was made using a cheap cake box mix and they all look as if they were assembled in the dark. I could never bring any of these cakes to a party. Is the ice cream good? Yes, but it's not like they make it there. I suggest you go to a different location or pick up a prepacked pint from the grocery store. I ordered a two scoop sundae to share with my kid. Typically, a single scoop is enough for my sweet tooth. I am not the type to gorge on ice cream. I was served by who I believe to be the owner, as I saw his wife and kids walk in behind the counter. The two scoops were SO SMALL that they combine to one scoop at other Baskin Robbins locations I've been to. I ended up letting my kid eat the whole thing. I went in on a Wednesday night. There were hardly any flavors that looked appealing to me. I usually go for different flavors besides the normal vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. There weren't many options. I also looked at their freezer their cakes didn't look great as well as there weren't many options. I was greeted by a man who seemed energetic. But kept asking me questions, questions, questions. It became irritating. I ended up just getting a vanilla ice cream tub togo. He kept asking me do you want more, do you want this, do you want that. I used to go here  not just for scoops of ice cream but gallons of Jamocha ice cream for my sons Birthday parties. Also, recommended this place to my relatives BUT I stopped going here due to  inconsiderate owner. I asked if I can get 2 cups (empty]  of baskin and robbins since I bought 2 Quartz (1 jamocha and 1 wild and reckless) but the owner himself refused. My two kids were so upset and sad bec they want to eat their BR in a  small BR cups. Since then, I always go to Chino Hills Parkway branch and love their customer service there. Also, Walmart and other groceries are selling Baskin and Robbins ice cream too. Now,  Baskin and Robbins moved to the other side of South DB with the same owner. I rather go to Cold Stone ice cream or BR in Chino Hills. Owner talks alot,  super loud but doesnt know how to treat a loyal customer !!!! read more

Came here for an 8-12 person ice cream cake with writing on it. It costed about $50 and upon driving home I realized the "cake" was missing the "CAKE" portion and was literally just a slab of ice cream with Oreos and whipped cream on top. Walking into this Baskin Robbins you will feel an unsettling environment. I walked in on a Friday in the afternoon - the store was empty to my surprise. The BR in my hometown is always busy at that time (I was out of my area running errands). I brought my 4 year old son & he was just as confused as I was - only 1 freezer had ice cream & all the displays were empty. They had maybe 10 flavors available - that's it. When it was time to order we were helped by a very young female, probably about 10 years old. No adult was in the store until a few minutes after we ordered. I believe it was the owner/father - who then approached my son & I to tell us about the difficulties of the business & was making a lot of uncomfortable conversation which made me want to just get out. Unfortunately we didn't leave right away, as we were not from the area & eating ice cream in the car with a 4 yr old is a smart decision. We decided to eat our ice cream in the store at a table & the owner kept talking across the room about how he needs our support. I wish I was able to fully explain the conversations but let's just say they were very uncomfortable. I don't recommend this location & I'm not sure how BR allows this franchise without all the items available. Truly, all freezers/displays are empty besides one. We just went to this BR location. It's 5:00 pm and it seemed like they were closing. The flavors were limited and the lights were low. The one flavor that looked really good to me, the gal told me they were out. I really like Baskin Robbin's but this place was just sad. I hope they change things. The service was quick, but again, there wasn't much to serve. The place was clean but not well lit. It just seemed like something was off, like when you go to those places where the kids are running it and they aren't really working-- I can't say that is what was happening here, but it was the same ambiance. I wish I could give a zero star rating, but unfortunately it makes you give them at least one. The owner of the store is so rude and very unprofessional. Placed an order on the app, and upon arrival of being told that our order was ready, they didn't have a single one of the flavors that we ordered for our family. Did not offer a refund, simply said he cleared it from his system, and it was out of his hands. The money never fell off of our bank account, so we were charged for a product we never received. Went to the store to talk to the owner because the phone number listed is out of order. He was extremely rude and unprofessional in front of another customer that was eating ice cream in his store. He told me he could not give me my money back that it had nothing to do with him and if I wanted the product replaced, I would have to pay for it. He told me to call the customer service number, but they can't do anything because each store is individually owned and operated. This guy is a scam artist and very rude. First I will say that I will change my rating if the operators correct their current practices. This is the third time I went since their grand opening, and notice a significant reduction in the portion. They didn't know 2 for 1 now means 2 scoops for the portion of 1. Price per scoop is the same if not more. Kids scoops are eliminated but the scoop itself becomes the regular scoop. I see that I'm not the only that complained seeing the list of reviews. The business sits at a great location and can have great potential. I understand it's winter and business is not gonna be as good as summer. But cheating out your customer will make sure you don't last till next winter. Spoons, I'm not sure if they are made of gold but I don't know why customers have to ask multiple times to get them. Or make comment like"I thought you'd be eating it at home" as an excuse to not even offer spoons. What's next, napkins? Or replace cups with bags or paper, or just wrap it in the receipt, or drop it in your customers mouth? Cheating out customers to make them pay more for less, is not going to get your return customers. We love baskin robins but now we gotta go all the way to Rowland heights to get them.
