It was not the best experience. I've been to many other Baskin-Robbins and always had a fine time. This place is different. I walked in and went to give my coupon for a buy one get one cone to the female cashier who was working. I waited for her directions and she said what do you want? I said to use this coupon. She said what kind of ice cream do you want? Oh okay let me go look. I chose mint and cookie dough, she correct me on the name of the cookie dough and then waited for my boyfriend to chose his flavors. In the picture on the coupon was two waffle cone double scoop ice creams with this address. My boyfriend asked for a waffle cone and I had already asked for a sugar cone. Since he upgraded to a waffle cone I asked if I could do the same. She said we could not because waffle cones are not included with this coupon. My boyfriend saw the total for two cones was 12$ and said he would take the sugar cone instead. The girl gave us our total but it wasn't discounted. We asked her why the coupon wasn't working. She told us it was because you chose to get 2 scoops instead of one. This didn't make sense. On the coupon was a photo of two scoops, how is it that neither the waffle cones nor two scoop options were available when the coupon described just that! We ended up paying around $7 and received two sugar cones with double scoop. Everyone knows what to expect from a BR so can anyone really complain about their products? I do agree that they can complain about the service. So far, my experiences have been positive and regarding the water thing, they did give me a cup of water. The water cup was way too small and it would be great if they had an option other than tap water from their dish washing spray nozzle. Does it hurt to have a filtered water faucet? This is an ice cream/dessert place. One would expect that customers will also want water without having to buy a whole bottle. read more

Atmosphere: It was very close to the holidays, but the store music was some kind of rap/pop. The young guy behind the counter wasn't very friendly/welcoming. Transaction: We order and I paid with the cards. The last gift card had somewhat more than $3 on it - I asked him to cash the card out. He told me I'd have to buy something else for $3. (Wrong: California law Section 1749.5(b)(2) says you can cash out a gift card with anything less than $10.) I said "Oh that's too bad, I was planning on giving it to you as a tip." (In fact I was, but I also wanted to see what he'd do.) Suddenly he was very willing to cash me out. Food: Really poor. This is one of the best Baskin-Robbins locations I ever been to. The guy who runs the place does a great job. He is friendly and his positive, helpful attitude trickles down to his employees. The kids here are very helpful, polite, pleasant, and know what they are doing when it comes to making a treat or working a register. With that said, it makes the ice cream buying experience that much better. And this BR has plenty of wonderful flavors, sundaes, malts, and shakes. And you can always buy a pint of ice cream for your home. The guy who runs the place is a soccer fan and has newspaper clippings of his mega talented son all over the walls. It gives this chain ice cream shop more of a "mom & pop" feel. The only problem is that as much as I enjoy coming here, the Willow Glen Frozen Yogurt joint is right down the street. We took our ice cream and walked down Willow Glen, it was amazing. Overall everything was extremely delicious and well worth the price. He said he wouldn't come over from the back. I then shouted there's a roach that just went in the cabinet ! He proceeded to tell me I had too much to drink! I went there today with my family, and ordered ice cream for everyone. After finishing his cone, my son was thirsty so I asked the guy running the place if we could get a glass of water. He gave me an funny look, but I didn't think anything of it. He gave me a small cup of water, and I thanked him. Then, he says to me that they sell bottles of water for a dollar, and that next time I should order one. WTF? Every time I come to this store, I spend at least $10. Now, it's a problem to ask for cup of water for my thirsty son? I'm a paying customer, not somebody who came in off the street to freeload.
