On my way to SD and wanted a sweet treat so I stopped by Batch Box. My friend and I decided to share 3 cookies between us. We ended up getting the Gentleman, the Classic, & the Julian. The cookies are fresh and delicious. It's warm when you first get so I suggest eating it right away than waiting. The Julian was a special apple pie cookie that legit tasted like apple pie. The cookies are not overly sweet and you get a substantial amount for the cookie. You can feel the weight of the cookies when they are put in the bag. The shop is clean and modern. Since it was my first time here the staff was friendly and explained all the different varieties to us. If you're a cookie lover then I definitely recommend checking out Batch & Box. read more

While the flavors are amplified, the cookies were not sugary at all. The strawberry cookie was such a great suprise. So much real strawberries instead of tasting like syrup or medicine. First time here and it did not dissappoint. It's pricey but the cookie is huge and was so yummy. If you like Lavaine cookies I think this comes close. These are decadent, rich, and generously portioned...and the price reflects such. One of the more expensive cookies out there. Although, I'm not one to pass on a cookie let alone one so good. These were pretty good, just didn't Wow me. They keep the cookies warm which personally I think dries them out a bit. I would rather they served them room temp and I could heat them if I desired. Keeping them warm I think cooks them longer than necessary. They were a bit over done, quite crumbly and a bit dry. The tastes have a lot of potential but it just felt like something was missing. They add salt on top of their chocolate chip cookies and I think it doesn't elevate it as much as it should. I was a bit underwhelmed, especially since they are more expensive than Crumbl. I am beyond impressed by both the delicious cookies and incredible customer service of this place! I came in close to closing time to purchase a couple dozen cookies I wanted individually boxed to give away as gifts, and even though I'd called ahead to ask if they could do that for me, I still felt bad I didn't make it in until so late. The employees were so delightful, happy to help me, and even offered to put napkins inside and tie pretty bows on all 24 boxes for me! They really made my night and went above and beyond for me. I typically don't go out of my way to buy things I can easily make at home (cookies, brownies, etc.), but my partner wanted cookies and was bent on trying this place when we were browsing UTC on an empty stomach. We got a box of half-dozen assorted cookies, and here's my verdict: It's okay. Makes a thoughtful gift, but why not just do it yourself? Personally, I am not a fan of the huge Levain Bakery-esque cookie mounds that seem to be all the rage nowadays. I'm all for the crispy, chewy (and most importantly, flat) cookie over the cakey. Thus, the offerings weren't quite up my alley. I enjoyed the sandwich snickerdoodle "churro" cookie with dulce de leche buttercream, but everything else was just average. I do want to say, I appreciate that their OG cookie has walnuts, which are totally underrated and should be in more baked goods. read more

Cookies were pretty good and nicely sized. They get the job done if you want a CHONKY cookie (to dip into milk) and want some fun flavors. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake and sugar cookie. I enjoyed how buttery they were. I prefer a darker chocolate for chocolate chip cookies but if you like them on the sweeter side you'd prob enjoy them! My husband would return cookies that were raw inside and was always respect full waited patiently for cooked cookies . The product is very good when cooked properly but to inconsistent for the price. What can I say? Kallib was the reason why I purchased the cookies. I was waiting for a coffee next door (which I had a terrible experience with) but batchbox made up for it. As we stepped into the store Kallib was attending to a customer yet he acknowledged our presence and the ladies in the back had big smiles across their faces. The place is small, and the presentation of the cookies is quite simple. Kallib is an example of great sales customer service, he presented the cookie showed the cookie and sold the cookie. Finished my last ever batch & box cookie and that is so very depressing. I was nothing but patient and understanding every single time you served me raw cookies then you have the gall to gaslight me that this was just about my preference and imply that my father and I were disrespectful when we were nothing of the sort. Plus back in January your staff shared with me that they were getting this complaint a lot and were at that time doing their best to recalibrate how they cooked the cookies to work around whatever was going wrong Then you got involved and every few weeks after the problem was seemingly solved they would come back raw again and that's when you decided to double bake them and still managed to give me some raw ones the night before you decided to ban us from the store. You have taken one of the few joys from the life of a severely disabled pair of women and their caretaker husband and father. Your raw cookies made me very sick for days not just an upset stomach, so I had to start returning them when they came that way. If they had been edible there would never have been a problem. I still don't understand how or why you wouldn't take this issue seriously. It's not my fault that you kept serving me raw cookies. I never asked you to double bake them that was your solution because you didn't care if you kept serving other people raw batches. Why do I care more about your business than you? Beyond ecstatic that Batch & Box has opened up a location that is way closer to me than their Del Mar location - although it could also be a bad thing as I might be tempted to come and buy cookies all the time now! - PARKING - 2 hour free parking at UTC Mall, and there's tons of parking spaces available! Be sure to go on the east entrance to save yourself some walking time! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Similar to their Del Mar location, the storefront is quite narrow and is just a simple set up of cash registers with a display of what cookies are on the menu. Staff is always friendly at the Del Mar location, and it is no different here at the UTC location! - FOOD - The Pink Lady ($4.50): I am sad that this is a seasonal flavor because I love it so much!!! Strawberries and White Chocolate - how could you not like this combination?? I also love the sugar bits on top as it gives a nice crunch texture to the cookie as well. I hope they keep this as a consistent menu item! Tiramisu ($5.00): This was also a seasonal flavor, but WOW they nailed it exactly as it's original inspiration! Deep coffee flavor, but deliciously creamy at the same time! I hope this will also come around more often!! The Classic ($4.50): A signature cookie for a reason! Yay! I'm super glad that Batch and Box opened a location at UTC. I've been to the Batch and Box in Del Mar and really enjoyed it last time. My friends and I were anticipating the opening of this one and went on opening day (2/11). There wasn't much of a line when we went since we went past the grand opening. They had 7-8 different flavors of cookies when we came in today as well as some seasonal ones. I got the pink lady and the tiramisu one while my friends got a chocolate chip and the tiramisu one. The cookies were super fresh and warm when they came out. I like how they have a more homemade style to them rather than a manufactured one. I absolutely loved my cookie. It was a bit on the sweet side, but the fresh strawberries helped to balance out the sweetness of the white chocolate. It was chewy and definitely very filling.
