OMGosh the food and service is 10/10!!!!! SOOOO GOOOOOOD!! We visited OSU for orientation day and we're from Indianapolis area. We've been to 3 BB.Q franchises and this one tasted a little better than the rest! Their dukbokki tasted more authentic and their crispy original with the special sauce was amazing. Their Gangnam boneless was also SOOOO good! Levi, who may be the manager(?), had great customer service and took care of us like we were friends! Everything came out hot, crispy, and quickly. Anna, our server who is an OSU student, was also prompt and so friendly. When she found out my daughter and her friend were incoming freshmen from out of state, she said to stop by anytime if they felt lost or needed someone to talk with! What a great experience for us to be treated so well with amazing food and kindness during our first restaurant meal at OSU! I can't recommend this place enough! It was relaxed and clean and fun. These were thoughts I thunk while gazing at the squirrel banner hung up on the wall of bb.q But my thoughts on the wings include that the honey garlic was yummy; I liked the sweet and salty taste. Spicy galbi were not spicy at all and flavor-wise were nothing of note tbh. Cheeseling fries that I mooched off of a friend tasted like, as they described, if you took easy mac powder and sprinkled it over fries. In other words, the fries tasted bomb. Soggy though, sadly. I have loved Korean fried chicken since Bonchon- they had two locations in town, then disappeared, leaving a big gap. Past few years several places have done a good job filling that gap. School is out and I was nearby, so I stopped in. Parking is still tight, but available instead of absolutely nuts. There's the garage behind the building, but it and the alley are narrow and dangerous. $3 an hour. If I were still in school I would walk here. Friendly, professional service. Not busy at noon on a weekday; checked on me just often enough. I wanted to try a couple things, but you can't mix flavors in one order, so I got a small galbi and the lunch special with boneless gang-jeongg, upped to sweet potato fries. It took awhile, but it's chicken, made to order, and I had time. Don't come if you're in a rush. Came out looking amazing- big heaping plates, good smells. The galbi was mild, sweet, over huge crispy wings. Meaty, tasty. They provide a jar on the table for cleaned wings (at least, I hope that's what it was for...) The gang-jeongg ones were also big and meaty, crisped up well. I like heat but first time at a new place you never know what their scale represents. These are 1-of-3 on their spicy scale (the galbi was 0) and are not spicy at all, to me. Definitely will try other flavors next time. Both very flavorful, but not hot. It was so much food I barely finished (and probably shouldn't have.) By the end the crispiness was gone. Still tasty. The sweet potato fries were big, and flavorful, and crispy. I'd say I like CM better- more flavor in the sauces, and somehow the coating stayed crispy to the end there. Plus it feels like this was more expensive, though I haven't compared and campus rents might drive the price up. I'll try it out again, for more spice, but definitely prefer CM in general. read more

The fried chicken is delicious the flavor and blend of spices used in the batter of this chicken is something that not even the big named chicken restaurants can ever hope to achieve. It also has that satisfying crunch factor that one looks for in fried chicken. It just hit every expectation for me. I don't know why the review is not great. This is the best chicken wing in Columbus. I love the spicy chicken.

I've tasted the Gangnam style spicy wings and the ddeok bokki while my husband had the hot spicy half chicken. I didn't try the spicy one because I'm scared it's too spicy but he said he almost couldn't taste the spice on that one. All the food were delicious but I found them a bit pricey. I haven't been to CM chicken recently to see how comparable the prices are but I felt like this was more expensive. I love that they have more selections on side dishes,too. The ambiance is alright. It's a typical fast food/diner style ambiance, nothing special. I wish it was closer to the rest of Columbus though. When we went there (Sunday afternoon), there were almost no other customers other than us. The service is great! It took a while to get our chicken and even the ddeok bokki, which I asked if they could serve it as an appetizer. Our server was very, attentive though. My first experience with Korean fried chicken and it did not disappoint. It was so crispy and delicious. The crisp even stayed when I ate the cold leftovers the next day. I had soy garlic and Gangnam Style wings. I honestly don't know which I liked better. Also got an order of Ddeok Bokki which always hits the spot. My friend got boneless hot spicy wings. Awesome as well. All the chicken was served with delicious pickled radish. Ruby was our waitress, and she was amazing. She kept us with never ending drinks. Our food came out fast. The low rating is not based on food. It's based off of service. Don't get me wrong, the food is good. Definitely is the authentic Korean fried chicken I would get back in Korea. I stopped by 2 Sundays ago and it was my first time. When I parked my car, I saw that you have to pay for parking through a website. I asked one of the people at the register if I still had to pay since it's a Sunday (since you don't have to pay for street parking on sundays). She didn't know, so I just paid for it. I ordered my food with my friend, but they never asked for 'dine in or takeout'. By the time the food came out, which took almost 20 minutes, they started bagging everything up. I told them it was for dine in and the guy at the register told us "well you never told us, so you have to clean up after you eat." EXCUSE ME. Want me to do the dishes too? Want me to take the next person's order as well? There was a family that was eating there too and they left their trash on the table? Did you tell them to clean up after they ate too? Living around Bethel Rd, I am always curious about the new restaurants opening up. I drove by and saw a couple videos of bb.q chicken on Instagram and knew I had to try! I'm ecstatic I did! I went in to order take out, I ordered boneless wings and received bone in wings. I called them asking if I could get them replaced because I ordered boneless wings and don't like bone in wings. They told me "you ordered bone in" when I know what I ordered and I obviously ordered boneless wings because I don't like bone in wings and would never order them. Instead of serving us fresh food they gave us what they cooked an hour ago. I'm not the type to complain about these things but as a cook or server you know that is unacceptable. We were offered and tasted the Honey Garlic, the Galbi and the Soy Garlic sauces and then ordered the Honey Garlic and the Golden Original boneless chicken and an order of the Kim Chee fried rice. Of the three items, the Honey Garlic was the best, but everything just seemed to be spicy, but without much flavor. I like spicy food, but this didn't do anything to enhance the flavor of the food. We had ordered some extra sauce (ours was a take out order), and that might have helped, but they seemed to have forgotten it and we didn't receive it I was especially disappointed at the Kim Chee fried rice which again didn't seem to have much character.
