this is a hard review to write. Let me preface it by saying that THESE ARE MY FAVORITE WINGS. The food here is amazing. The wings are super crispy and have a shell of batter that is delicious and crunchy with every bite. If I could review the food alone - it would be 5 stars. However, there is one GLARING drawback to this restaurant (I've also dined at the Carrollton location): Each order of wings takes at least thirty minutes to cook. You arrive, you take a look at the menu and decide, then you order. 10 minutes have already passed. Now the server tells you your food will take 30 minutes. so keep in mind you will not eat for at least 40 minutes after walking in. I've started to call my order in ahead of time, but today I came in 35 minutes after calling and my wings still weren't ready. Service is better at the Carrollton restaurant. The two girls working here at Plano have poor English and don't greet you or engage you at all. I'm going to chalk up some of the poor service to this location being so new. Maybe they aren't full staffed yet. it's been 50 min now since I ordered and I still haven't received my food. read more

I would have given 5 stars if the rating was only about the food. BUT the service is important as well for a restaurant dine-in experience. I went there around 3pm, so no one was really there. I noticed the one server who was working at the time was just playing with her phone. With carrollton bbq not being as good as it used to be, i thought it'd be better to go to the plano one but I think I'll just keep going to carrollton bbq even if i have to drive extra 10minutes read more

The chicken is amazing! My favorite is the secret spicy chicken. It is nice and crispy with the perfect amount of sweet and spicy sauce on it. It is more sweet than spicy which is what i prefer. My only suggestion would be to have the secret spicy sauce available for people to take some home with their order. They have delicious calamari rings that just need a bit of the secret spicy sauce with it. I tried the cheesling chicken which i did not like because it tasted like processed powder cheese on top of fried chicken. Definitely stick to the secret spicy if you don't know what to order. read more

This place is Chinese owned unlike the one in Carrollton. I mention this because the origianl fried is a lot crispier here than Carrollton. If you like the side menus and chicken with sauces, I would suggest the Carrollton store. read more

Avoid this place. I ordered some dinner for my family yesterday and the food was awful. The worst part is that the "Golden Original Boneless, Korean Fried Chicken" wasn't chicken at all. They used pork instead of chicken. You can easily tell by the fibers of the cooked meat. Also the pieces didn't resemble anything that comes from a chicken. There was also intramuscle fat on this product which chickens don't have, there is no marble of the meat in chicken but there is with pork. read more

Omg this place is delicious! It's made fresh to order and we love the honey garlic wings and golden olive chicken (fried chicken). We've eaten here at least 8-10x already and each time the chicken is made to perfection. As good if not better than bonchon chicken. It's not cheap, but not expensive either. Owner seems like a nice guy but the restaurant itself can have so many improvements. I came to dine in twice and it was always HOT. It's as if the air conditioning is not on when there are chicken being fried. When we ordered the wings, it was lacking one but we did not complain since it could have been a petty mistake. The third time, I ordered take out when it was very busy apparently. They said the wait time was an hour and I told them I was willing to pick up but they were constantly discouraging me to not order by saying stuff like "oh by the way we're out of the radish." When I said that it was okay I would try next time, there was no apology but a relief. The fourth time I ordered take out, they charged me a dollar extra for a small container of extra radish. I have never been to a korean chicken place that charged extra for radish. The other location seems a lot better with their service. read more

I am usually a fan of bbq and especially the carrollton location. I am quite shocked at how flavorless and dry each type of chicken dish was. The Kalbi chicken is too mushy and not crunchy. Original was not crispy. This restaurant is not a fastfood cuisine. The price you pay demands only the highest culinary recipe. If you read this please pay attention to your seasoning and cooking. You have high fan base but that is not an excuse to be lazy. read more

Heard good things about this place so decided to get some takeout. We usually go to Number One Plus Chicken in old k town so that is my frame of reference. Thursday night was pretty empty which is a nice change from No.1. The cashier was so friendly! Got our order out in about 20 minutes. Ordered 18 honey garlic wings for 23$ which is pricey but I think fair. The wings were pretty big and perfectly crispy. The flavors were delicious. The flavors and texture are different than No.1 but I appreciate it. It wasn't too saucy/drippy/syrupy. All the sauce stayed on the wings. The cashier also recommended the corn salad, which was very underwhelming and overpriced for corn. Go for the chicken- it was a good decision. read more

What can I say anot this place except don't go! A friend and I went here four lunch and got the bulgogi bibimbap. All it had was rice, bulgogi, and egg. We asked where the veggies were since it's not the same as what was pictured from their menu. Their reply was so idiotic that I said, it isn't even worth it. They stated that they use the same pictures at every restaurant but all make it differently. The Covid regulations were very good. The chicken was very good recommend the Garlic Honey Chicken, the wait was a bit long though.

This is a rating towards the atmosphere NOT the food. I really really wanted to give this place a try, however the smell of the sewage system killed it for us. I could not handle the smell. We started with just water but you can tell it's affecting the water served to customers. We asked about the corn salad but the waitress didn't know what veggies were in it. FYI you can't do half and half of other flavors. Only the options they list. I will not be coming back here, but will probably try the location in in Carrollton instead located Old Denton and GBTP. read more

Friends brought me here as they frequent the restaurant. We came on a Saturday evening, mildly busy, 3-4 tables and most had food already. 2 dirty tables. The server was in a rush and somewhat impatient, understandable as she's the only one up front. (Recommend at least 2 people front of house) We we were 3/4 way done ordering, at this point, the server paused us to go get a notepad. You should know your short term memory capacity. There are 4 of us, how likely was it we would only order 2 items? As she put in the order, I went to let her know we have one person with potato allergy, so don't mix the fries and sweet potato fries. We ended up finding a fry in the sweet potato fries basket. Two of us received the wrong wings order. Mine was soy garlic wings, she had gang jang boneless. I received boneless and hers had bone. It took us a while to realize because we had thought she switched the flavors (neither of us had the flavors we chose) so we just sucked it up and ate our chicken also because we were hungry. Also, the wings were mixed with drumsticks too! If the menu says wings, I'd expect wings only! We asked for the check and a box. I had to go up to get the box because she forgot. Didn't feel like driving down to Carrollton tonight so I decided to dine in at this BBQ chicken spot in Plano. Came in with a group of 4 and we were sat down right away with menus and waters. It was a slow night tonight with literally 2 other tables with quests. On this night we decided on a large order of honey garlic wings (23$) and a large secret spicy boneless chicken (23$). It took about 15-20 mins for the wings to come out but that was expected because they cooked them to order. When the food came out, the chicken was hot, and crispy. The secret spicy chicken was great and so was the honey garlic chicken. Both had great flavor, very crispy and overall terrific. The food was good but the service was below mediocre. Our servicer forgot multiple things that from our tables despite the fact that there were only 2 other table that needed service. Overall, we were satisfied with the food. While the employees are really nice (which I appreciate), I don't think the food quality nor the atmosphere/setting is as good as the BBQ Chicken in Carrollton. I ordered the same chicken dish in this location and the location in Carrollton, but the chicken dish at this location had a very bad scent to it and also it tasted very weird. I paid $20 and only got 2 bites from the plate and had to throw it all away. The chicken was served hot and fresh. It was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I'm giving this place 4 stars, only because the original olive chicken was mediocre. Ordered here a couple of times. Both times, the food was good. However, their portions are not as big as other BBQ Chicken locations. Last time I ordered Cheesling and the portion was only about 2/3 of what I get from other locations. They also didn't shake the cheese powder for me. This place is solid. I was initially kind of confused by the steep prices for wings, but when I saw the wings come out it made sense. These wings are HUGE. A few friends and I split several orders of wings. I couldn't bring myself to try the cheesling wings, but all my friends loved those. I demolished my portions of the Gangnam and Wings of Fire - they're 2 distinct flavors that share a nice heat and slightly sweet glaze on them. There weren't many negative parts of my experience - the fries we ordered were somewhat soggy, and the taste of the wings can be overpowering after a large amount of them, but those are sacrifices we're certainly willing to make again. This place gets a 4 due to its awesome quality, but not a 5 since there were still some minor issues. read more
