Been to several BB's locations and none disappoint. All locations are spacious and have a big patio. Service is good in all locations. Most locations are clean but tables can sometimes feel dirty because of how messy crawfish can be. Like condiments are sometimes dirty or greasy. Although the reason I continue to come back is how good the crawfish are. They have good pineapple sausage and great seasoning on their seafood boils. Their po boy is very good as well as their chicken and waffles. What I usually order : Crawfish! Pineapple sausage Chicken and waffles

Everybody has their favorite little spot that they go to. You know that place where they have your favorite dish they have your favorite vibe. They have your favorite music. They have your favorite people. BB's is all of that for me. While their menu flexes and goes through changes, there are certain consistencies that they have that will always keep me coming back. They have a fried catfish crawfish, étouffée, and pot roast with debris gravy. Almost everything taste like it came out of my grandmother's kitchen. And their bar is the bomb too. Every BB's has a French Quarter Mardi Gras vibe. And then always brings back good memories for me. On this visit, I got fried pickles, pollo bullets, red beans and rice, étouffée, andouille sausage, and a fried catfish fillet. My son got a fried oyster Poboy and a side of Chaumette mac & cheese. I was so happy to be in Houston eating some of my favorite food. If you're ever in the Bayou City and want to give this local chain a try, I highly recommend their happy hour. It's a great opportunity to get a sampling of what this restaurant offers for a great price. You can never go wrong at BB's. The food always comes out consistent and good. On this visit we had Neecee taking care of us. She got all of our order correct and to make sure we got our order faster teamwork made the dream work. Everyone was stopping by and checking on our table. It was phenomenal. I sure do love the hospitality of this restaurant.

Was looking for some good crawfish, this place was recommended, I was not let down! Great prices, great portions, zero complaints! Good music playing and quick service! I'll be back Forsure!

Carie is so rude. I come here all the time and we were here first before somebody else she told us to hold on one second, we held... didn't bring us no water, no chips...no nothing. Mind you the bar is not busy. Its about 6 people to be exact...PLUS she took somebody else order that were here after us. My friend ordered a beer and we never got it. She is horrible every time. Tonight drew the line for me. Smh. Do better BB's Then she gives us the receipt...no beer...no food. I love when the hispanic lady is here shes so sweet.

I went there the other night after leaving the Katt Williams show. I understood it was busy since it's spring break in Houston and people were out eating late, so I was prepared for a wait. We were told it would be a 25 to 30 minute wait for a table for 2. However, my friend walked around the corner and saw 2 open tables near the bar. When he mentioned it to the hostess, she seemed surprised and then said they would clean them off for us. It didn't seem like anyone had even checked. Once seated, the service was extremely slow. It took about 30 minutes just for my friend to receive a beer. When it finally arrived, it was warm. He went back up to ask if they had any colder beer and they didn't but topped off his drink. I ordered a margarita and that also took about 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the shrimp basket with debris fries and a side of catfish. I even asked if the catfish was real catfish since some places serve swai and call it catfish. The food took a long time to come out, although it was at least hot when it arrived. By that point I honestly wasn't even hungry anymore. Unfortunately, my order was also wrong. The debris, which is supposed to be brisket, cheese, and gravy on the fries, wasn't on there, so I had to send it back and waited another 10 minutes. When the food came back out correctly, the catfish portion was extremely small and thin and honestly looked like swai. I took a few bites and thought the food itself tasted fine, so I was originally considering giving them 2 or 3 stars despite the service. However, the next day when I reheated the leftovers, I pulled the tail off and noticed the shrimp had not been deveined. It still had the digestive tract intact. I cook all the time. That is basic seafood preparation and was extremely unappetizing. I checked the rest of the shrimp and ALL of them still had the intestines and mess in them. At that point I just threw the food away. Between the extremely slow service, incorrect order, warm beer, and seafood that clearly wasn't cleaned properly, I will not be going back. What a waste of money.

We came on a Friday after work and it was packed! Parking lot full (they do valet as well) but we found street parking. Walking in, it was lively and fun and we were luckily sat at the bar. Our bartender, Robert, was awesome and really took care of us. He gave us a rundown on drinks, food, etc. We essentially ordered one of every item on the HH food menu except the plantain and dip (which we'll have to do next time). Their happy hour food menu is essentially a tasting menu, smaller bowls of their main dishes with some apps and test items. There wasn't an item I didn't like but the golden and the fried chicken bites were 2 standouts for me. The golden has perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken with a curry sauce, rice, and plantains. The mixture of textures and flavors is just great on the palate and each bite can be a little different keeping it interesting. Drink-wise, I tried the musa mule, redbush sidecar, and OGA palmer (NA). I really enjoyed the redbush sidecar, it was bright but still had the earthiness of a darker liquor. The musa mule was alright, I thought it was refreshing but not my favorite drink. The OGA palmer was also super refreshing and great if you don't want any alcohol. Overall, I really enjoyed ChopnBlok and am so glad its so close to me now. Happy hour or not, it seems like a great spot to eat, drink, and chill.

It tasted like tropical goodness! Oh so delicious! So.......this is one of my new favorite restaurants, hands down! I thought it was great that they brought my sister and friend a shot of whatever is in what you are drinking. Very special and delightful!! Our waitress Tenee was another reason I would come back. She can really convince you to order something you may not like Iike and you end up loving the dish like crazy. So- for appetizers we got delicious plantain chips with a greens dip , delicious beef suya, and stal and cheese beef patties with steak inside. ALL Phenomenal! For dinner, my sister's had the Golden Bowl with delicious chicken and add shrimp along with some curried beans and jumbalaya. Sweet plantain come with your bowls. My friend got the Black Star bowl which was a wonderful cream sauce with rice and big juicy shrimp. The cream sauce was very delicious!I will get that one next. I got the Buka which was rice and pease, the peas are black eyed pease. Yum! They served it with red stew and boneless beef ribs. When I got my meal they only gave me two pieces of meat and the general manager, the one with the beard, quickly brought my plate in the kitchen and it came back out with plenty of meat. Everything was so good and delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic. I would love to come back soon.

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

We had an amazing server, delicious drinks (a must try), and ok food. We ordered four drinks the painkilla, vamos à la playa, captains grog, and the Hemingway daiquiri. All were great drinks and we loved how they give you flavor characteristics of the drinks on the menu. The appetizers that we ordered were the sweet and sour cauliflower and the pork dumplings, which is why I gave this place four stars. The presentation of both appetizers were excellent. However, the pork dumplings were disappointing. They came with only six dumplings for $17, were served cold, and are very bland. In my opinion, they weren't worth the price. On the other hand, the sweet and sour cauliflower was our favorite and is definitely a must-try.

For the HRW summer dinner menu, portions were a touch smaller than what I'd expect from their regular dinner offerings, but everything was so rich and satisfying that we left completely full. Standouts included the Atlantic salmon, the zucchini veloute, and the chocolate cremeux for dessert - each beautifully executed and packed with flavor. Service matched the quality of the food. For parking, they validate tickets from the museum garage, which is a convenient and budget-friendly option--though paid valet is also available if you prefer that route. I will be visiting Houston for only two days and specifically planned this trip around experiencing Houston Restaurant Weeks. Today, we received an email informing me that I would have needed a separate reservation specifically for the Restaurant Week menu. Unfortunately, by the time I found this out, those reservations were already sold out. We also reached out directly to the restaurant and spoke with Catherine Park from the Hostess Team. We were told there was nothing she could do, and I requested that she escalate this issue to management, as this situation is extremely frustrating and disappointing. The biggest issue is that this requirement was not clearly communicated on the Resy reservation page when I made my reservation. There was no clear indication that a separate Restaurant Week reservation was required, nor was there an option presented during the booking process. I have participated in Restaurant Week events in many cities across the United States, and I have never encountered a system where guests must make a completely separate reservation just to access the Restaurant Week menu. Typically, guests make a reservation and can decide between available menus when they arrive. Since Restaurant Week was the reason I chose this restaurant, this has been extremely disappointing. I will now be looking for a different restaurant for my Houston visit.
