This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and I must say the beginning of our experience was not good at all. Several of the servers were mean, rude, and even rolling their eyes, which made us feel very uncomfortable. I ended up reporting it to the manager because the service started off so poorly. However, the manager quickly stepped in and brought us another server named Candace. Once Candace started taking care of us, everything completely changed. I'm telling you, the service became absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure my guests and I were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Candace even put on gloves and showed us how to eat crawfish properly. I have never had a server in my entire life do something like that. That level of care and attention really stood out. Candace is absolutely incredible. If you ever visit this place, I highly recommend asking for her. She truly turned our whole experience around. Thank you so much, Candace. Visited for the 5lb crawfish and was a bit disappointed. The crawfish were very dry with a bit of juice at the bottom of the bowl. They have nice sized crawfish but they mainly tasted of seasoning so I couldn't really enjoy them like so wanted. The corn was good though. I would have given 0 stars, but that isn't an option. Walked in to place a to-go order, on 2/2/26, around 6:30pm. Stood at the bar, for 15 minutes completely unacknowledged by every employee who saw me. At least 5 of them. And the last one, came and stood next to me, checking her phone. Not one person said, "We'll be with you shortly", "One moment please", not even a basic hello. The restaurant wasn't packed at all. And then I was leaving, one of them did have the decency to tell me to have a nice night? I have been to this location before, but will not be returning. The service was awful. Food is very good however the service is not always great. I was at the Bb's in Montrose about a week ago and I waited for about 10 minutes after I was seated before the servers acknowledged that I was there. My waitress was new and I could see that she had a large table with approximately 10 people and she had just started taking their orders so I was very patient and waited. In the meantime another waiter got my drink order but didn't return with the drink for quite a while. Eventually my waitress came and took my food order. The food was very good as always but the service could have been much better. The other waitstaff were not busy and standing by the bar at the entrance to the kitchen I was sitting at a bar high table within 10 feet from where they were mingling and was just ignored. I've been to this location several times so I just chalked it up to a one time experience and let it go. I still tipped the waitress over 20%. So yesterday I decided to go back for dinner. When I arrived they were not busy. The seat your self sign was displayed at the entrance so I sat at same bar high table as the previous week. There were several (5) staff hanging out at the same area, bar at entrance to the kitchen and none of them even acknowledged that I was there so after about 5 minutes of waiting I got up and left. I went to Tumble 22 on Washington @ Houston Ave and when I arrived I was approached by one of the servers and seated immediately. I love BB's but I won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

When we came it was pretty empty and you seat yourself, but our server was super sweet and very attentive! The ambiance was nice, quiet, and very clean. Our waitress gave recommendations on the menu, which I always appreciate especially since this location's menu is different from the other Houston locations.I ordered the Pecan Crusted Chicken with Mac & Cheese and Garlic Mashed Potatoes and it was absolutely delicious 9/10! I know a little about Cajun/Creole Cuisine, having tried many restaurants in La,Nola. We came here for a birthday lunch for my wife. She made the pick. Coincidentally, BB's is running a HRW menu for both lunch and dinner. The location is in the heart of the old Westheimer/Montrose area. It is located in a strip center. Parking is decent. Upon walking in, there was a sign stating please sit yourself. We were greeted right away by a gentlemen named Johnquis. He asked if it was our first visit and explained the HRW promo for lunch. He got our drink order as well. I went ahead and went with the lunch hrw, which gave plenty of choices for 3 courses. I chose the shrimp gumbo, cajun empanadas, and the shrimp po-boy. My wife went with the fried seafood platter lunch portion. Gumbo was good but not great. I felt the roux should have been thicker and darker as well as a little spicier. It did come with white rice in it already. The cajun empanadas were delicious and portioned a little on the heavy side at 5. I would describe them as having a creamy crawfish filling. It had a slight kick to it. My final course was the shrimp po-boy, and it was outstanding. It came with shoestring fries and remoulade dressing along with fried shrimp, tail off, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes. My wife's platter came with 2 fried filets, shrimp, hushpuppies, and red beans and rice. It was well portioned for a lunch plate and had an excellent flavor. Surprisingly towards the end of our meal Johnquis presented a bread pudding to share. I am like, what's this for, and he said you guys are first-time guests! We indulged in it and was a little different than your typical bread pudding having a merengue topping on it drizzled with honey.
