I've had a lot of coffee so I can tell you for certain that Bean Bag Cafe's house coffee is extremely sour. I've also used a lot of different wifi networks and can tell you that there's no way the WiFi speed here exceeds 5mbps. I was going to give two stars because this place is situated in a convenient location. Sadly, the guy working the counter (presumably the owner - short, older male with black hair and glasses), thought it was appropriate to make a misogynist comment towards my friend. Really open, airy, and cozy place to get some work done! In order to use 2 hours of WiFi you have to order an actual meal though, but I just ended up using my personal hotspot since I had just ate. There are many meal options if you are hungry though. Also, this place is open until 8pm, whereas a lot of other cafes are only open until around 3pm. There are also plenty of outlets. We ordered a thai iced tea and lavender lemonade. The tea iced tea was creamy, sweet, and fresh, and the lavender lemonade was nicely tart and not too sweet. Staff was friendly too! Went here for brunch with a few friends about a month ago. We waited a while because we didn't realize you should go up to the counter to order your food, so keep that in mind! The breakfast burrito and smoothie that I had were both okay, but the burrito was honestly a bit bland (maybe I should have asked for hot sauce) and the smoothie tasted a little artificial? Cute neighborhood cafe with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Super friendly staff and food is ready in no time. I got the California sandwich and the portion was huge. I needed a quick bite to eat in the city and was in the area. They had outdoor dining with tables outside. Their menu is diverse and has many options. I paid inside, they gave me an number, and brought the food right to the table. Order: -Egg and cheese sandwich: Nothing fancy but it sure fulfilled my hunger and gave me energy for the day. The bread was nicely toasted. It came with a slice of orange: -Chai latte: Yummy! It had a wonderful ginger spice and warmed me up on a cloudy San Francisco day. Super friendly service. Love the place! It's a cute cafe on divisadero and is one of the few places with coffee open late. They have a good variety of food and drinks. This is the best breakfast burrito I've had for a long time. The egg is fluffy and it's still hot when I take the first bite. It takes around 10 mins to arrive after I place the order and it's well worth it. You can tell it's freshly made and the ingredients are diverse and flavorful. The owner (the Mexican guy with black glasses) is so nice, polite and courteous. You can tell he's genuine and not one of those pretentious guy trying to act courteous. I'm so impressed with this restaurant/cafe. Where should I start? The idea to have a well-written menu above the nice tall "bar" to order your food is fabulous. The server was very helpful and didn't make me feel pressured to order quickly. I had the chicken breast on top of the spring mix salad with Gorgonzola cheese, yummy beets, and the caramelized walnuts. It came with warm and tasty garlic bread. Really delicious and nobody was skimping on the portions here. Quick service. But let me tell you about the chairs! Oh! The chairs. I cannot explain to you how absolutely vital a good chair is for my back. The server told me the owner had her test out a bunch of chairs, and THANK GOD someone on this planet has figured out to supply his customers with LUMBAR SUPPORT. I don't think I've every sat in a more comfortable chair at a restaurant before. No holes/gaps at the back of the chair. No hard wood for sensitive rear ends. Nicely rounded and pliable chairs --not sure what it's made of but looks like a blackish-grey high-grade poly-something (owner, please confirm). A Chair with Wow! Thank you! And then there's the ambiance: Thank goodness for excellent acoustics. The sound from other patrons at other tables didn't pierce the eardrum like so many restaurants. It is quiet and peaceful inside, and just the right volume was chosen from some very pleasant background music that was well-selected and unobtrusive. Value for money. Great selection of tasty choices of food. Massively comfortable chairs. And terrific ambiance. I'd love to see this place open up in my home town of Agoura Hills. Got delivery here a few times and was surprised by how much I liked their sandwiches. The Petaluma with turkey add avocado is my go to move - I love the use of a roll (not a fan of hard crunchy bread) and the sprouts, lettuce, tomato, red onions work so well together. But it's pretty pricy for a sandwich ($15.50 for the Petaluma, more to add the avocado) so I find it hard to justify getting it very often. read more

I just moved to NOPA and live on the same block as the Bean Bag Cafe, and I'm so happy that I do! The staff are amazingly nice and the foods/drinks are made promptly. I ordered the lox special bagel and an americano. The lox special tasted great but it could have used 1-3 more pieces of lox. Regardless, the other veggies were plentiful and it tasted really nice. There is seating inside and outside. It's casual and great for small groups or solo with counter style seating that faces the windows to the street. Bean bag café has a large menu option. Their orange juices are not freshly pressed so I gave a try to the ginger lemonade. I was very strong in ginger but very tasty. You can work at the table tops they have a lot of plugs. And the WiFi password is at the bottom of their receipt. It's hard to put in words how much I appreciate this spot. I live down the street and this is, so far, my favorite neighborhood cafe/watering hole I've ever been a regular at IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
