Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch just after 1:30 for the lunch rush to die down. Good thing to, cause the place was busy. It's located on a side street off Lawrence Expressway near El Camino in a strip mall. The space isn't the largest, with probably 15 tables for groups of 4 or less and a bigger dining area for larger groups. We were seated in the back corner area. They also seemed to have a higher volume of to go orders, which is good for them as you can see drivers coming in and out for deliveries. The main reason my friend wanted to come here was for the Black Bean Noodles. She was excited and upon arrival, we noticed a lot of Asian people eating at the establishment, so you know it's legit. Lol. When we sat, they gave us some kimchi and pickled radish for the table. Both were really good, we had to ask for more. There were a lot of options on the menu and we wanted to try them all, but not go overboard since it was only the two of us. We decided on the Asparagus Beef, Prawns with Honey Walnuts and an order of Salt & Pepper Fish. All the dishes were really good. I think we really enjoyed the mix of the black bean noodles and the Prawns the most as we both killed those two plates and had leftovers with the other two. The salt & pepper fish was probably the most lacking in flavor, it felt pretty basic and really couldn't distinguish if it was fish or something else, so I'd probably skip that for next time. Service was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. We asked for things as she came by, refills, check etc. Overall a solid spot for Chinese/Korean food... which makes sense now as I'm more partial to Korean food than anything non Filipino. Lol. The star dish: black bean noodles. If a dish has me hooked on every bite, I can literally make space even on a full stomach. This dish was 'it's: savory, 'al dente' noodles. Well made and a simple dish. The Sweet and Sour Pork (Beijing Style). Is what the restaurant is well known for. The big difference with this dish is that there's no red coloring in the sauce. I like how they served the sauce on top of the pork. This prevented the meat from becoming soggy from being drenched in sauce. I was not too impressed with the garlic beef. My guess is that they used some sort of tenderizer, which threw off the texture of the meat. It was okay, but not impressive. I went on a Saturday afternoon, when the restaurant was crowded. As a Korean, I'd say the jjampong and jja jang myun are just fine. Basic, could be the best word to describe. Nothing special, and certainly a lower standard than what you'd find in Korea. But if you're in a pinch, and Jjampong and Jja jang myun is what you're craving this place may satisfy your cravings. For us, it didn't. read more

The jjajangmyeon aka zhajiangmian aka Black Bean Noodles of two kinds, dry pan stir fried or side of sauce with noodles are both MUST orders. This literally is the legit way it has always been done. I recently had the noodles in Seoul and even they don't follow the traditional recipe anymore, skimping on meat and seafood. This place is legit for this item alone. Okay all, when searing for somewhere to eat there is plenty of places to chose from but when I decided to walk into Beijing Restaurant I was a little hesitant to order due to the price but oh boy was I glad I did. The food is AMAZING! You definitely get high quality food for your money. The service is attentive, courteous, and went above and beyond to provide table touches to see how I was doing and of the food was good. The inside of the restaurant is a beautiful and they even have private dining areas of your party is large enough. It is a Chinese Korean restaurant where the servers can speak Korean and menu written in Chinese as well. I ordered the seafood black bean noodles and the crispy fried pork. The portion was quite big and it can definitely can be shared by two people. I love onions so I didn't mind how much onions there were for the black bean noodles but my friend couldn't handle it. I really enjoyed the crispy fried pork as it is sweet and sour with some pickled cabbage and cucumber to make it such a refreshing dish as a palate change from the sticky/heaviness from the black bean noodles. I personally like their noodles more than Paik's noodle since this one is softer and more flat, I remember Paik's noodle being more thick and round and chewier. read more

First time coming here and it blew the family's minds at everything that happened and was fed here. It was on a Sunday and roughly around noon, we thought there would be a long wait time or too many customers but there actually wasn't that many so we were seated very fast. Inside we were given radish and kimchi as ban chan since this is a Chinese/Korean fusion place. Appreciated the tea that was also served with our sides. The menu was reasonably big and even included pictures which made it easier for my parents who have a better idea of what they're eating if there's pictures (But tbh it helps everyone regardless) FOOD: We had ordered their Pork XLB which I found to be decent, not a lot of soup and the typical pork flavor but i'd still order it again! Then we had the Braised Pork in Brown sauce paired with ice berg lettuce and sliced garlic, super flavorful and depending on the piece of pork you get will melt in your mouth. As for a soup we had the Sizzling Rice Soup, IT WAS REALLY COOL! they server it in front of you and as soon as they drop the rice into the broth it SIZZLES like for real. Very tasty and definitely good on a cold day. The Chicken Fried Rice along with the XO Sauce Seafood Chow Mein were also good as they weren't that oily which is much appreciated. I had never ordered or even heard of Orange Beef but it was basically eating orange chicken but beef lol. Lastly we ordered the Sliced Fish w/Garlic Sauce. I was introduce to this place to me a few years ago and had to try the food. Don't let the name fool you. It's not Chinese. It's Chinese/Korean. The menu has English/Chinese/Korean. The food is a mixture of all these cuisine combined. This place is know for their black bean noodle. If you dine here, almost every table will have ordered that dish. We shared the sizzling rice soup, beef noodle soup, black bean noodle, honey walnut prawns, and deep fried pork in sweet and sour sauce. None of the dishes really stood out to me and they were all pretty mediocre. Sizzling rice soup and beef noodle soup were both on the bland side and tasted like basic chicken broth. The owner apologized. I did not ask for anything in return. No compensation, but told him I would never take my kids to this restaurant and spend $500 on childish attitudes. When I walked out of the restroom, the other servers were making jokes in the kitchen because I asked for napkins and a bowl for what should have been provided. I ignored this. . Two minutes later the owner came out again speaking English with a strong Mandarin accent. The owner was apologetic but does not make up for the child Emily. I don't eat a lot but after I finished my dish, I was still a bit hungry. I had some of my friend's jjamppong, which was pretty good! The portion size for the jjamppong was large and it had lots of real seafood pieces. The broth wasn't too spicy but not the most flavorful. The meat dumplings were okay. The kimchi side dish was very bland (usually a bit of a red flag for a Korean restaurant!). The tangsooyuk looked great and seemed to be popular though we didn't get it.
