I came here with a few friends to get some dinner and drinks on a rooftop. Thursday nights has an $8 spritz deal which is appreciated. Entrees and food are a very reasonably priced and honestly very good. Our table was satisfied and full. The steak flatbread is a must try. Service was prompt and kind. Place was decorated nicely and the rooftop has a view of the Empire State Building which is pretty. Great spot for the area.

I checked out this place with an old friend of mine and it was such a great time. We ordered a few drinks and I highly recommend the Hugo, it's St.Germaine + Prosecco + Mint. Very refreshing. The Hugo cocktail was $8, a great happy hour deal on Thursday nights. The beef sliders were juicy and delicious and we were served in less than 10 minutes. The ambiance is cozy for such a huge place, definitely gave dimly lit tavern vibes. They have a rooftop bar section too with a great view of the city. The bartenders were friendly all around. I would say the patrons were generally around their early 20's-30's, so keep that in mind since it gets real busy during intern season in NYC. Definitely would come back here to dine on the rooftop.

Bella Union is a great place to hangout with 2 levels of indoor seating and a rootop: Great Drinks, delicious food and Better Views makes it a top pick for drinks and happy hour, offering a lively atmosphere with stunning Empire State Building views. Their happy hour boasts excellent deals on a range of drinks, including popular $5 Espresso Martinis on Tuesdays and other drinks specials till 8pm. While not a quiet spot, good service and its energetic vibe and versatile, year-round rooftop make it a prime choice for casual gatherings and group outings. We went on Tuesday Eve for happy hour and sat on the rooftop. We ordered margaritas and roasted cauliflower appetizers. Really liked the drinks, food and the atmosphere.

This place is right in middle of all hussle and bussle. The rooftop is amazing vibe and should be visited for sure. Their drink and food menu is also pretty great. Dont really need resrevations most of the time. Servers are good and friendly. Tried their pasta and chicken which were both great. Really great for drinks and happy hour.

"Que bella," is the view from Bella Union's Rooftop deck! I stopped in for lunch on a breezy afternoon in August, and while I didn't mange to capture a photo of the view, I did remember to snap a pic of their delicious Watermelon Salad. I chose to add avocado, which was just a tad overripe, but nonetheless, rich and delicious. They have some great lunch specials as well, and the cocktail I tried, (Sexy Beast,) was a refreshing choice for the Summer Season! Our server was friendly, and checked in on us a couple of times throughout our meal. It wasn't my first visit, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

The perfect spot does exist!!! The vibes here are amazing!!! The decor is spectacular, the music is FIRE, the drinks are amazing. I could go as far as saying that these drinks will wake you up enough to enjoy a full night of fun... or maybe that's just the Espresso Martini talking. The Espresso Martini here is FIRE!!!! Peter makes one of the best Espresso Martini's I have ever had. Definitely makes my top 5 list. Peter is a legend when it comes to service. He even let me keep my keto diet by replacing the rice with sautéd spinach. I even had someone over my shoulder say that it smelled amazing. All I could say was it tastes great too!!! I would highly recommend it. Peter always makes my time here so much fun. One word to describe him would be "LEGEND ... and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next word is... DAIRY!!! I can't forget Cassie. She was on the far side of the bar but always takes care of me. Talk about two legends behind the bar. That can only lead to one of two things. A legendary night, or a legendary face off. Both are professional so it will only one way... a spectacular night. I would highly recommend this spot to everyone looking for a good night. WARNING: too much caffeine is bad for the heart. Drink responsibly...

I came here after work with my coworkers. We were able to be seated quickly on the rooftop. We took advantage of the happy hour which ends at 8 pm! What we ordered: - Tater tots - Buffalo cauliflower - sweet potato fries - chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce For drinks we got Prosecco, rose, and white wine.

Came for happy hour Tuesday deals, which go until late. We walked in and got a table. There was a lot of space. The espresso martinis were good. We tried the loaded tots, brussel sprouts with pancetta bits, and steak mashed potato flatbread. The flatbread was delicious. I'd come again. Servers were nice.

This was my second time coming here. Found this place on my way to another happy hour spot and noticed their sign mentioning $10 burgers all day on Wednesdays. So after hitting up the first happy hour spot, got hungry after a few drinks and made my way to Bella Union. Ordered the American burger ($10) with bacon ($3) and got a high noon ($6 - HH) along with it. The burger was really good and gave plenty of fries which I couldn't finish. For the quality and amount of food, probably the best happy hour deal around. The place has three floors with full bar in each including a rooftop bar. If you are looking for a happy hour spot or just a spot to grab food and drinks, I highly recommend this spot. I found my go to happy hour spot :) * rooftop * plenty of tv's for sports * great service * daily happy hour specials

$5 espresso martinis on Tuesday from 4pm onwards! However, I personally do not enjoy them, they're extremely bitter with a strong coffee and alcohol aftertaste. The service is fast and the ambience is amazing for some light snacks with friends. They have three floor and the rooftop area is my favourite! Lots of seating with an open balcony area that has a beautiful view of the chrysler building and empire state building!

    Kenneth E.

Really good food and drinks. At like 10pm the place adds a DJ and table service stops and as a millennial, the music was so good. There were three floors supposedly, but the top floors were blocked off for a private party so I definitely would come back and check that out. Also want to come back for one of their specials!

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting! It's hard to get a reservation though so next time I'll need to try some new things if I score another!

I honestly…read moredid not expect to be this impressed, but this ended up being one of the best burgers I have ever had -- and quite possibly the best burger of my life. I ordered the burger with cheese, and everything about it was perfect. The burger itself was THICK, incredibly juicy, and cooked beautifully. You could immediately tell that the meat was high quality, and knowing that they use Creekstone beef made it even better. The flavor was rich and beefy without being overwhelming, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The patty had that perfect combination of a beautifully cooked exterior while still being extremely juicy and tender inside. And the bread deserves its own paragraph! The brioche-style bun was excellent. It was soft, slightly buttery, and substantial enough to hold the thick patty without falling apart or becoming soggy. It complemented the burger perfectly rather than taking away from the meat. The combination of the juicy Creekstone beef, melted cheese, and that excellent brioche-style bread was honestly phenomenal. What really stood out to me was how substantial the burger was. This wasn't one of those thin burgers where you finish it and immediately feel like you could eat another one. It was thick, hearty, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. Every bite felt like you were getting exactly what you want from a great burger. The fries were also excellent. I really appreciated that they weren't overly fried or greasy. They had a great texture and were crispy without feeling heavy or excessively oily. Sometimes fries can completely overwhelm a meal because they're so fried, but these were much more balanced and paired perfectly with the burger. Overall, Friedman absolutely exceeded my expectations. The burger, especially with the cheese, was outstanding, the Creekstone beef was incredibly flavorful, the brioche-style bun was excellent, and the fries were the perfect accompaniment. If you're in NYC and love burgers, this is a must-go-to. I would absolutely order this burger again and would highly recommend Friedman to anyone looking for a thick, juicy, high-quality burger. Easily one of the best burgers I've ever

Aside from that, we had a fantastic experience here at Friedmans Herald Square near Penn Station. They were playing Hilary Duff music, which was such a fun touch since they often match the vibe of whatever is happening at MSG! They even had special Hilary Duff mocktails. The atmosphere is super sweet and cozy. The restaurant was empty when we first walked in, but the second we sat down, it completely packed up! The waiter was very friendly, and even though they weren't able to split the check at the table, they did provide an itemized receipt to make figuring it out easy. The food was great overall--the Mac & Cheese bites and the corn were especially good! We also tried the cheesecake and molten cake. Plus, the neighbors sitting next to us were so sweet. But to my surprise, the host was able to seat me at their community table within just a couple of minutes. What a relief! Now, onto the important part -- the food. I started with a ginger lime soda, which was refreshing and the perfect way to kick things off. For my appetizer, I went with the whipped ricotta, and wow, it was creamy, light, and absolutely divine. For my main course, I ordered the chicken parmesan with homemade vodka sauce-doused pasta, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the sauce was flavorful, and the homemade pasta elevated the whole dish to another level. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The whole time I was eating, I kept watching the waiters bring out dish after dish from the kitchen, and honestly, everything looked incredible. I was kicking myself for coming solo -- I wish I had been there with a group so we could have ordered more and shared! This is definitely a place you want to come to with friends so you can try a little bit of everything. I also have to shout out the service -- it was fast and attentive without ever being pushy. My server checked in at all the right moments and never made me feel rushed. It's that perfect balance where you feel well taken care of but can still enjoy your meal at your own pace. The ambiance is really fun and cool without being pretentious or overly trendy. I never felt out of place, which I really appreciated. It's the kind of spot where you can dress up or keep it casual and still feel right at home. One small note -- the lighting is on the darker side, so if you're someone who is sensitive to dim lighting, just be aware of that. Personally, I thought it added to the vibe. And can we talk about the prices? For New York City, this place is surprisingly reasonable, especially for Midtown. You're getting high-quality, delicious Italian food without the sticker shock that so many NYC restaurants come with. Bottom line: La Pecora Bianca is delicious, welcoming, and well-priced.
