    Acai bowl-no banana
    Brittany B.

This experience was a roller coaster. Similar to other reviews, I did not experience the best service. The employees who took my order seemed to be annoyed by my existence. I ordered an acai bowl with coconut flakes in lieu of bananas. While the flavors were nice, the proportions and presentation could use some work. First, I was not given or offered a lid or napkins with my bowl. Second, I really struggled to get to the acai. I ended up grabbing a few spoonfuls of topping with a bit of acai mixture for my first couple of bites. A wider bowl with a better ratio of acai to toppings could easily fix this. Overall, I'm so happy I received a quality product that overall I enjoyed. It arrived in decent timing, but the experience leaves a bit to be desired as is.

Berry Austin is a clever name for a little Açaí bowl place at AUS airport terminal, near the B16 - B22 gates, which are mostly Southwest gates. It has bright colorful decor so you get the "connection" between the words Berry and Austin. Otherwise you might think it's perhaps a Vino Volo wine tasting place where you have to wear a cowboy hat. It serves Açaí bowls in plastic cups for a healthy, cool snack on your way to your gate. And in Austin, not far north of San Antonio, which was once voted the Sweatiest city in USA ( a lot of other cities would argue it's theirs, like Houston, New Orleans, etc) it is good to be cool! The bowl ($15.50 2/25) is unimaginative however, with little options for ingredients. Basically it's a Froyo machine spitting out purple pud as a base, then topped with strawberry slices and blueberries. Still healthier than a hot dog or cheese burrito, and of course, cooler! There were 2 options they offered to me: honey or peanut butter. I opted for the PB because I generally like nut flavors and I didn't need more sugar carbs in this bowl, so a little protein and fat are good to balance. They did offer a couple of other food categories, which I ignored, because I am used to going to the higher service/ variety Nuggets groceries ( mainly in NorCal, Marin and Sacto areas) for their larger variety of made to order Açaí bowls with more options, which makes you cool in a tastier, 57 varieties kind of way. I took a deep Açaí of disappointment, because I couldn't " cool like that" but enjoyed it nonetheless with my sunglasses on, except when I went to my gate and had to line up for boarding, and needed to wolf down that peanut butter, which is hard to do! I tried to be cool, but ultimately I got hot under the collar trying to shovel and spoon feed my pie hole peanut butter before whipping out my iPhone QR code to board! So if you want to be sort of healthy and cool in AUS before your flight, try this place. But leave time to board your flight if you get the PB topping. (They dollap the PB with the açaí, then top it with the fruit, fyi)

    $11.37, very pricey

There isn't too too many places to eat or snack here. So I got a chocolate frozen yogurt because they didn't have the tart one. It was pretty pricey at $11.37. It was ok but not amazing, but definitely not worth the price.

Stopped here during a long layover. Ordered the tart yogurt with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. It exceeded my expectations! Similar to what another reviewer said, the tart yogurt is both tart and a little sweet. Very tasty, and the service was excellent. Will stop by again the next time I am at the Austin airport. Well done, guys!

So glad I was able to get something as they don't close until 10:15p. The employee was super nice and giggly lol. There was no line and he offered a sample of the Tart Yogurt. It was so fantastic!!! Got banana, blueberries, and strawberries. So fresh and deliciously paired! Ambiance is nice. It's the Austin airport. Not too busy at 10pm. Lots of comfortable high and low tables. This place made my connection wait a very pleasant one! Cons: $15 but it was very worth it. The tart yogurt still tasted like it had tons of sugar, but I might be wrong.

Good, healthy travel food, but they were out of so many fruits when I went. How can you have a smoothie/juice/acai bar without bananas or blueberries? I could replace some fruits, but it was annoying and still very pricey. Service wasn't very friendly.

    Açaí bowl

Got the Açaí boil today. Delicious!! Jennifer helped me and was very sweet! The service is always great. This place is my go to whenever I land in Austin!

Probably the worst smoothie I have ever gotten. It literally tasted like nothing. I got a Hill Country smoothie with protein powder added. They were out of bananas so they subbed pineapple which was fine but this smoothie tasted like nothing. I don't know if they used too much ice or too much almond milk. Either way, it was pretty much a waste of money.

I was in the mood for fruit, something light, and something cool. The açaí bowl was all 3. The gentlemen took my order, and one of two young ladies prepared my bowl, while the other worked on other orders. It was a little over $17 including a 10% tip. The fresh fruit was beautifully arranged on top of granola which was on top of a berry gelato base. I would have liked a little more granola. The banana slices, cut up strawberries and the blueberries were very good. The gelato was cold and sweet. For the price, it was satisfactory. I'm not sure I'd pay that much for another. Maybe.

When my favorite Austin airport smoothie place (JuiceLand) was closed before my flight, I decided to indulge my smoothie craving elsewhere and try Berry Austin. I had previously tried their açai bowl (topped with banana, blueberries, strawberries, and granola) which I found very refreshing but too expensive to justify getting again ($15). Their smoothie menu has a similar price point ($12-$14). I got the Lady Bird smoothie, which consists of açai sorbet, blueberries, banana, and almond milk. It was double the price of my usual JuiceLand order, but also double the size. However, I found the size way too big; I couldn't finish it. I would consider their smoothies if they offered a smaller size, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting it again as is.

Caribbean Congress without banana because they ran out

The good: My mom was parched and was craving something juicy. The juice stand across from here was closed so we opted to try this place instead. It's located in the airport by the bathrooms. My drink was very smooth and tasty. I liked that it was tart and not sour or too sweet. The drink was very large and was enough to fill me and my mom up. There's plenty of seating in front of the stand. The drink was made quickly. The menu is short and sweet. The tiling on the front of the counter is colorful and eye-catching. The bad: I got the Caribbean Congress smoothie but they ran out of banana. Banana was an ingredient in almost all of the smoothies. So, instead, I replaced the banana with more mango. Smoothies were $12. We were standing outside for 5 minute before a worker came out to help us. I asked if I could split my drink into 2 smaller cups but the worker said they didn't have smaller cups. She didn't attempt to offer any other solutions (ex: split the drink into two cups that were bigger). The drinks only come in one size. The interesting: They have an art wall in the back that features old phones and other electronics. I thought it was cool and random.

    " Second Street " smoothie
    Jilaine D.

Overpriced smoothie that is very lackluster. If you're going to charge 14$ for ONE smoothie atleast make sure the recipe is consistent and actually tastes good. Service was terrible- only one girl was making the smoothies and açaí bowls, the other guys were busy on their phones so all of us were waiting forever for our orders. Very unfriendly and grumpy workers that very obviously don't want to be there . This would all be okay and can be ignored IF the smoothie actually tasted any good but it didn't. Smoothie itself was runny and tasted very bland. Maybe the fruits they used weren't fresh ? Either way , everything about this experience was terrible and since the area has other smoothie options- definitely pass on this one and try another place otherwise you'll waste your money AND get irritated but the workers. Hard pass.

Quite busy at 8:15PM on a Sunday! About ten people ahead of us and only two people working so it took about 10-15mins with people asking for samples and such. While we were there, it was always a packed line so it definitely gets really busy from 8-9PM! We got three larges for a total of twelve flavors, a little bit of overlap: Mine: Dark Chocolate Olive Oil and Sea Salt - Really liked this, the bitter saltiness offset the creaminess really well. Coffee with Cream - A very light but roasty coffee, like a light coffee. I liked this!; Goat Cheese, Thyme and Honey - The herbal flavor is more subtle than I expected! Not too sweet, liked this one Sweet Cream & Strawberry - this one didn't stand out much to me Others: Roasted Beets and Fresh Mint - I really liked this one! The beets and mint hit on the back of your tongue, yum Chocolate Chocolate - Very intense chocolate, not too crazy about it though Cookies & Cream - Surprisingly good! I liked this one Very Strawberry - way more strawberry than the sweet cream. I'd recommend this over the sweet cream and strawberry Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean - Pretty light, a classic. Thought it was okay. If I had a tier list it would be: 1) Coffee with Cream 2) Goat Cheese 3) Dark Chocolate Olive Oil 4) Roasted Beets and Mint 5) Cookies & Cream 6) Very Strawberry 7) Vanilla Bean 8) Chocolate Chocolate 9) Sweet Cream & Strawberry Overall, a few hits, a few misses, but it was a fun tasting experience. We paid via inKind with no issues, which made it a pretty solid value.

It's not a sitdown place so keep that in mind for your stop, but the line does move fast and they are very efficient. There's a good variety of flavors and things they serve from italian ice to ice cream and shakes. We opted for a strawberry italian ice with condensed milk on top. From the first bite we were in heaven. The flavor is very thorough which is not always the case for Italian ices where it can sometimes be a bit muted. Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top. This was by far one of, if not the best, Italian ices we've ever had. We would very much recommend it to anyone in the Downtown area looking to cool off.
