My fiancé and I saw this place on our most recent trip to Austin since it was one of the few places we both could eat due to our dietary restrictions and with a slight delay in our flight. The staff were swift and friendly and catered to our needs, even subbing banana for extra mango in our smoothie. The drink was filling and refreshing after a hot and muggy day. Our family loves Berry Austin. We frequented the one on 2222 for years. I'm in the airport picking up my kid and knew he would be thrilled to see Berry Austin across from his gate. Noticing there were no other customers , I asked a worker if they were closed for the night. She replied they were but would not even stand up or look at me. It breaks my heart that one of my family's favorite places would be so rude and represent Austin to newcomers so poorly. read more

Damn. People have had bad experiences here. I love Acai bowls and the ones here are really good. A bit on the small side. I haven't tried anything else.I have to agree the service is a little slow sometimes and they ran out of Acai once...the employees have always been nice to me. I happened to be in Austin on business and while in the airport before my flight I see this smoothie place that serves smoothie bowls. First let me say the young lady that waited on me was super nice and talkative. She's gave me the run down of the place and let me know that all the interesting art they had displayed was all made by the owner. I should have taken pics..‍‍. But take my word for it it was super cool. This one art piece she did was a collage of old cell phones, calculators, computer parts and other electronic stuff, mixed with plates and other things, and the way she designed it I like legit wanted to have it in my house as a Convo piece. Ok ok back to the smoothie bowl. They only had 2 and both were açai based bowls. I had what was called the Waller, which was açai base with bananas, strawberries, granola and topped with coconut, however I asked for blueberries to be added to mine and then told the young lady she should tell the owner to add blueberries to that bowl. When I tell you that bowl was so deeelish it really was, and filling. A co-worker wanted to try some, so I have her a little bit and she fell in love with it. She had never had a smoothie bowl before. I don't know why this place is reviewed at just about 2*s fortunately for me I didn't see that until after I had already ordered my bowl, so I didn't even bother to read them once I tasted my bowl, plus the service I received was great so it was no need for me to read the negative reviews b/c my experience was 5*! I ordered an "açaí bowl" and 2 smoothies. The prices were astronomical even for an airport and the "acai" I ordered for my kids' breakfast was actually just a bowl of ice cream/sorbet. The smoothies were only 3/4 of the way full (I took photos) and I waited 25 minutes for these items because the employee (while kind) was moving incredibly casually with a long line (and several people leaving the line every few minutes once they observed the speed). read more

I got the Caribbean Congress Smoothie. Delicious but tart, I would definitely recommend it. It's a bit pricey but that's expected for an airport. The service was nothing special. Employees weren't very welcoming but they also weren't rude either. I would suggest going here if you're looking for a quick, somewhat healthy snack. read more

Horrible experience. Took forever. Ordered a smoothie with blueberries, bananas, spinach and almond milk. I noticed they weren't putting bananas in so I asked about it and they been informed me that they were out of bananas. She finished making a shake and handed it to me with the three ingredients in it and it was disgusting. Daughter ordered frozen yogurt with a topping and they were out of the toppings. Very slow surface as they got receipt tape out and reloaded fruit instead of taking care of customers. Horribly run. read more

Chocolate flavor is very clearly from a cheap chocolate syrup. Fruit toppings are exceedingly small in quantity, especially considering the price compared to most frozen yogurt places. Base frozen yogurt not particularly great either. Also there were three employees and only one was doing anything to serve people- and was being quite slow about it. The worst smoothie ever! It was bland tasting with no flavor and had huge chunks of kale and spinach floating around. How do you not have effective blenders when that's all you do is blend things? DO NOT GO HERE. Do not waste your money or time. They opened 45 minutes late, were incredibly slow and rude. They left an entire line of people waiting because they opened so late. Did not interact at all with the customers Couldn't have moved slower if they tried. There was 2 people .. 1 could have stocked and the other taken customers .. they serve 3 items... it was Wanda and another girl .. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I sure wish I had read reviews before going here. We were craving ice cream when we landed because we have had Amy's many times. Unfortunately it is closed due to renovations so we went here. What a mistake! The lady in front of me ordered a shake (a whole section of the menu) and the lady curtly informed her that they don't have shakes right now. Then I ordered a yogurt with cherries. Same curt response - we don't have cherries right now. So I said, how about strawberries? No we are out of those too. Me - what fruit do you have? Finally landed on blueberries. I asked to not pay for the topping since it wasn't what I really wanted. She said, "I can't do that." That was it. Curt, uncaring, and transactional. This is a pathetic excuse for customer service. Oh Berry Austin. You have such potential but frankly, you provide the consistently worst customer service I experience in any terminal. Being a frequent flyer for business and coming to Austin monthly for work, I like the idea of a refreshing açaí bowl, the 360 to be precise. And each time I ask myself, why??? Why do I continue to subject myself to poor customer service consisting of ridiculously slow employees, rudeness and a disregard for the customer? I can easily go to the Salt Lick taco stand. Just a few feet away. A Larabar from the News Stand would be a better interaction. My last straw was this visit when there were 6 ladies working. And let me define working. Standing with some of their backs turned to a line of customers, all on their phones, talking about personal drama and not working. But, maybe that's the definition of working at Oh Berry. Maybe Rudy's BBQ has spoiled me with the exceptional service the provide each and every time. Who knows. What I do know is you never get a friendly greeting or just a hello. Instead you are made to feel like you are bothering them. While waiting you need to remind the staff you have an ordering pending and a flight to catch obviously, or you'll wait an unacceptable amount of time. One customer had to say to the 6 ladies standing around talking "is my drink done?" And this was his southern, passive aggressive way of saying "I see my drink had been sitting in the blender for over 5+ minutes and y'all clearly forgot. Bless your hearts". Poor guy got an eye roll and irritated looks from the whole crew. I knew better. Say nothing, get your order and don't come back. Unless you have a long layover....and the Larabars are sold out.
