The food was good, BUT The (online pick-up) service ... background: I ordered food to be picked up, after the promised time lapsed (20 minutes) my two appetizers were not ready, constant conversation was held, 40 minutes more and the pickup/delivery rep says, sorry for the wait, what type of dessert would you like as a compliment? What? a 40 minute wait and a $4 dessert is your apology? Her response would you like a salad instead? So, I asked for the manager. He came (armed for bear) ready to push back, would not listen to me, talked over me, told me he wasn't condescing to me (well, I never said that he was, he brought the issue up). I didn't argue with him, I said, well, "I will remain quiet until he was finished", he responded...Listen I am going to give you 5 more minute until l walk away...No exaggeration. He finally said, so what do you want (some would call that aggressive) He told me he was busy and that my issue did not deserve so much attention because he had to get other people's food prepared....(No exaggeration again, there were witnesses). OK, I proposed a solution, he countered, I left my information to get the partial refund on the prepaid appetizers. So, there you have it. Be prepared for slow service in the kitchen. Went for a late lunch today. No crowd was seated fast, wait staff was friendly. I ordered the chicken piccata. Results were not very satisfying chicken was though not very flavourful. Excess water on the plate probably due to the noodles. However I did see some good looking pizzas. From what I could tell this place sells more pizzas than anything. If you visit would recommend going with the pizza. Anything else might be a gamble. read more

A fun family oriented place that has plenty covid separation between tables. This place made me feel comfortable. It is a family friendly local spot that can get crowded fast on any given day. NO RESERVATIONS needed before 6ish. But beyond that you might wish to call. The staff was real friend and seem to help each other out. I had Shrimp Rossini and it was tasty and great portioned. We just landed in town to visit family, and Bertucci's was the first place we went! Instantly we were greeted with smiles and friendliness! We went there for dinner as a party of three (3) on a late Monday afternoon. We were greeted by our very friendly waitress, Joyce. The appetizer sampler and roasted vegetable pizza were all delicious and flavorful! As usual, the rolls were addicting! Joyce contacted her manager, Dwight, to bring us a generous slice of chocolate cake for dessert as a birthday celebration for two (2) of our family members. We hadn't been to a Bertucci's in years. This one left us underwhelmed. We came for a late lunch on a Sunday. It's a nice space, but when we entered the restaurant there was no one at the entrance. We waited a good two or three minutes before anyone acknowledged us and then another minute or two before they actually seated us. The wait staff was perfectly pleasant, but so, so, so slow. A Caesar salad somehow took at least 15 minutes to arrive. Entrees took well over half an hour. No one acknowledged the wait or even offered us any more rolls. This is not complicated food and the restaurant was not busy. It's just that everyone was moving at a glacial pace. Food was just ok. The rigatoni Abruzzi tasted the same as I remembered it, but there seemed to be a lot less sausage and peppers than there used to be. Nobody checked on us after we got our food. I understand the 3 star rating here. We went for dinner on a Saturday night. The bread was awesome. Warm and with oil to dip. The oil needs more flavor but still good. My Caesar salad was ok. Lettuce very crisp but several cucumber bites in it? Not sure how that's in a Caesar but it was. The dressing was very average. We had the calamari appetizer and it was so over cooked it was impossible to chew. I didn't say anything because they were super busy but truly awful. Don't order it. I got chicken parm and my son had spaghetti and meatballs. The red sauce is "eh". That's the best I can say. It needs more salt and all the seasonings. It tastes like sauce from a can (not even a jar). But the chicken park cutlet was fried well and tasty. The meatballs were excellent flavor! Overall it's basic Italian food that you get if you don't know what good Italian food tastes like. I did see several cream sauce dishes and a clam pasta that looked good. Possibly just avoid the red sauce options? It wasn't a terrible meal but I definitely wouldn't make it a regular stop. read more

Haven't been to a Bertucci's in a long time but this location (Springfield, PA) was a disaster. Our server was very friendly and she was trying, but there's obviously very little, if any, oversight and no quality control at this location... Here are the lowlights: - Ordered the meatball appetizer, all of them were burnt. - The "Crispy Chicken Bites" from the kid's menu is a chicken cutlet cut into 4 pieces. - The "oven roasted" broccoli wasn't roasted at all, it looked and tasted like it was steamed. Rubbery with no seasoning and no flavor. (see pic) - Empty appetizer plates were never cleared from the table when the entrees arrived. - Trash was visible under a unoccupied table nearby - The kitchen is open so we got to watch one of the pizza guys drop a tool on the floor only to watch him pick it up and hang it with the pizza peels without cleaning it first. - Also got to watch the hostess drink a soda and stare at her cell phone at the hostess station. Bertucci's is really hit or miss in terms of the service. Some of the servers are so nice and great, other times we are waiting hours for our food. I'm not Really high maintenance where that kind of stuff bugs me unless it's really extreme, but it seems that even when it's not busy at all, we are still sitting there waiting and waiting, just for drinks or rolls. However, I always love the food here. They never disappoint. Obviously the rolls at the beginning are delicious, and they have some good desserts too. We often will also order pizzas out for big parties. I love the European style pizza and not many places have that, but Bertucci's comes pretty close to the real deal. read more

I guess I haven't been here in years since the front entrance is no longer there. HA.. They used to have one entrance for take out and one for eat in.. They now have once entrance and the renovations were made about a year ago (so I'm told). The new layout adds about 6 or so tables so it makes better use of the space. The parking in this strip mall is tight so you may need to park around back during busy times. There is a nice looking bar area with a few huge TVs which can make for a fun happy hour. The main dining area is behind the bar wall so it's sort of separate. There is an open kitchen/brick oven concept so you can see them make the pizza. They give kids dough so the kids can play with it. It gets messy so don't let the kids have it if their dressed up. Each table is given warm rolls which are tasty with the oil (w pepper flakes?) that they provide. We went for an early dinner so we ordered a veggie pizza no broccoli which was really tasty. We also split a chicken parmigiana which was really tasty. The large pizza was more then enough for the both of us so we took the chicken home. Kid didn't eat this time. No dessert or drinks. We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 of them being a cauliflower crust pizza. We waited 45 minutes for our food and I believe it was an assistant manager who delivered 1 of the pizzas. He then proceeds to tell us that the cauliflower pizza dough was not available....Didn't you not realize that 45 minutes ago when it wad ordered. Now we wasted 1 hour total time sitting in your restaurant for something you should already be aware of . The manager came over as we walked out to offer his apologies but the attitude was still a little dry and not helpful with wasting someone's time. They all have great combinations ....... the ULTIMATE BERTUCCI is always a winner, the SPICY SALAMI is very spicy indeed and indeed delicious, the SPORKIE ricotta and sausage you don't realize your eatting a pizza. The whites yummy...the VERDE with prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula with sweet balsamic fig glaze, it's practically healthy... and NOlIO for the cheeses lovers ...caramelized onions, pecorino, Romano and mozzarella blended perfectly... Oh and let me not forget the SILANO roasted chicken, broccoli in lemon pepper cream sauce topped with mozzarella( thats much like a chicken dinner, veggies with rolls) lol. Wow. How disappointing. I hadn't been here in months. Tables were dirty and no staff seemed to care. Maybe 5 tables total for 2 wait staff, 1 bus boy, 4+ in kitchen, plus the general supervisor directing the kitchen. It took close to 15 minutes before someone came over to our table. In the past, they'd Usually show up with water, bread and oil and a cheery smile. Nah. Not this time. Nada. Seemed like the waitress thought she was doing is a favor by waiting on us. While taking our order the waitress turned her back to us to write down the order and asked questions about the order without looking at us. She then abruptly just walked over to another table to pick up a credit card receipt and returned for the rest of our order. So down to three other occupied tables and a guy at the bar. In addition to a drinks for me, my wife ordered water. Waitress brought me my drinks, but not the water. Had to ask for water a 2nd time when the food was delivered. In a nearly empty restaurant it took almost half an hour for food to arrive. Then it was just blah, unlike previous visits. So disappointed in food, service, and ambience. I've been going to Olive Garden and Maggianos for years. Not anymore!! How have I NOT been going here for my pasta fixes!! Food is absolutely delicious. Shrimp Rossini and chicken parm is my favorite. Bread and oil provided is always fresh and addicting. Mozzarella App is awesome. Plus kids eat free Sundays and Wednesday! Calzones are incredible and pizza looks great. And the prices are perfect for size and quality. It's a chain, sure, but I've spent a lot more money for a lot less quality pasta. Haven't had a bad experience here yet and it's my new go to. Olive Garden has gone way down hill and maggianos upped their prices and cut their flavors. This place is quite underrated, likely because it is a chain. I'll start with the pizza. I have a thing for ricotta on pizza. Here, there is MYOP (make your own pizza). Obviously, I chose ricotta and mushrooms, my fave. Simple pizza with good chew and good crispy crust at the same time. Shout out to the side of roasted broccoli, the real MVP of this meal. Delicious. Crispy. Flavorful. Let me also tell you about the chicken wings. They have the perfect combo of tang from the cherry peppers and savory cheese. FIRST IMPRESSION? IGNORED. My group was ignored, so we never got to sit in. Sadly, I have no say about the food. Reviews have said the food was good, so I was disappointed to be treated like that :( I arrived around 7:30PM on June 13 with my group of 5. The restaurant was not busy, with about four tables being occupied. When I waited at the empty stand, there was just one person ahead of me. No worries, it just a few minutes, so I told my group to sit while I waited. I noticed two waitresses looking at us, then went back to their conversation. Ok thats weird... but maybe someone else is in charge of seating instead? Many reviews also noted a shortage of workers, so it could be that as well. After a minute, one of them then came up to the person in front of me and assisted them. At this moment, they saw me and even made eye contact, but did not say anything like "Please wait a moment," or "I'll be with you shortly." I did not think anything at the time, believing that they just wanted to focus on the first person as they seem to have planned a party. Not being acknowledged was a red flag that I should have picked up. The waitress then left again and a pair walked in. They asked if we were in line too and we said yes. Again, the waitress came back and grabbed some menus. I thought they was going to seat us next, but then walked pass me to the pair instead and seated them first. I was FLABBERGHASTED. I just watched, believing that maybe they just seating them first then coming back to us to seat us next. Nope. They just left to get the pair drinks, so at least they treated the pair well. I just turned around and left with my group, disappointed that I couldn't try the food and left my group hungry. I felt like I done something wrong standing there. I don't think I'll be giving this place a second chance with this first impression. read more
