My girlfriend and I dine at this location about twice a month and we've been noticing a few negatives that have been popping up over the past 8 months or so: 1) your hosts/hostesses are literally the worst on the planet. They never know where to seat us. They always try to put us at the same rickity table by the bar. Just because we're a younger couple (barely we're in our early 30s!) doesn't mean we want to sit in the bar area, at the same table every single time. Staring at your phone and not greeting us or saying hello is also not helping the matter. On our last visit, their were 2 hostesses and 1 host, and not a single one them greeted us or looked up from their phones. They also don't say anything when you leave either. We counted a ton of empty tables and booths but they still insisted on seating us at the hightops by the bar. 2) fix that creaky, rickity, lopsided, broken high top table by the bar. You guys know the one. It sucks. 3) food preparation for basic dishes has been SLOW and the quality has been lacking. On busy nights we've waited over an hour for our food, on slow nights its been upwards of 40 to 50 minutes from ordering to receiving our meals. And we get pretty much the same thing every time, gf gets chicken parma, I get a calzone. Pasta has been overcooked the past 3 times, my calzone was half cooked the past 2 times. Your servers are fantastic and your only saving grace. Every single one of then (along with your bartenders who I've seen waiting tables on busy nights) are some of the best in the business. They've ruined it for me. We order and pick up from Bertucci frequently, but no more. Pastas and lasagna don't have a lot of flavor, the pickup time is merely an indication to get in your car. Food is never ready on time (not even close), and on top you'll be dealing with rude kids at the pickup counter that you've already tipped when you ordered online. So, we're done here. Within the Italian chain restaurant realm, I feel this is one of the better ones. However, I must add a disclaimer to this. I went to Bertucci's for the first time in Swampscott, MA almost 20 years ago. That day, I fell in love with their chicken, prosciutto, and ricotta calzones. So much so that every time I go to a Bertucci's, that's what I get. So you really can't ask me how the entrees are. Honestly, given that I generally don't have great experiences with entrees at Italian chain restaurants, I'm afraid that getting one will ruin my opinion of the Bertucci's chain. Maybe I'm wrong. But I believe that when it really comes down to it, you can't go wrong with their brick oven offerings. I got yet another one of my calzones this past weekend, and finished it off happily. The wife enjoyed the Spicy Salami pizza very much. I tasted it and it has a more unexpected pepper tang to it than you'd think. We both enjoyed the warm rolls and sausage soup. And I will add this... I like the idea of a huge bowl of Caesar Salad to share for $6.95. Though someone else said it... the croutons are hard. I swear those things might take out a filling. Service was excellent. Steve, our waiter, seemed to read my mind when I needed drink refills. Kudos to him, and give him a raise! If you asked me to rank them, I will go to a Bertucci's every time over an Olive Garden or a Carrabba's. I can't put them above Maggiano's, but then again Bertucci's is better if you're in the mood for a more reasonable meal rather than a huge meal. read more

Baked salmon over fresh spinach was the perfect lunch I was craving. We were there for lunch so a salad for the table was included and it was pretty good! I was trying to avoid the rolls but they came out warm and I couldn't resist. Our server was a lovely young lady with so much enthusiasm and spunk. She even helped out my dad by giving him a dish he wanted (which was on the dinner menu) but in a lunch portion. Very nice of her. We scheduled a luncheon after my mom's memorial at the Bertucci's in Glen Mills, PA. The manager, Courtney, couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful in the planning. AND then, the day of the luncheon, 1/29/22, happened to be "THE NOR'EASTER", which essentially shut down almost everything. We needed to go ahead with the memorial and were amazed to find out Courtney had still made it to the restaurant with a small crew just for us! The restaurant was closed to regular traffic, but she knew how important this was to us with family coming from all over the country. Our meal was not only delicious but absolutely memorable. Consistently good food. At times the service at the bar is hit or miss (this is the only area we ever sit). I always order the Bertucci pizza, huge and always leftovers for a few days, my favorite section is the meatball pizza. Right now they are running cheap appetizers ($3-$4) and great drink specials from 4:00pm to close in the bar area. I normally like the Bertucci's chain, but I have to say this particular store has consistent service problems. The first night, my pasta dish came out with a lemon sauce instead of the cream sauce I ordered. At lunch a few days later a waiter dropped chicken noodle soup off at my table and walked away even though I had ordered lentil. Food took a long time to come. When it arrived it was bland and lacking ingredients. My salad had very little blue cheese crumbles. Dressing tasted bottled. My boyfriends pasta dish was dried out and disgusting. Obviously not made fresh. No one ate much pizza. Many boxes going home. Probably for the dogs. The place looked dirty. The steak place around the corner was packed but when we arrived at Bertucci's there were Very few customers. It's no wonder. Never going back PS. I have read many negative reviews and it really fries my grits when Bertuccis corporate posts these boilerplate apologies and then has the nerve to send you to a website to post a receipt and explain what happened. I only order a margarita pizza to go. Out of it the 5 times now, one pizza was amazing, another was good, one was mediocre and the others mediocre to bad. There seems to be a lack of consistency. Bad night for dinner When your seated next to a huge puddle of water that's screaming accident that should be the indication to leave. I guess the place ran out of brooms or mops because it was needed . Nothing looked clean in the place and cooks are touching cell phone without washing hands BIG NO NO ! You should have to tell the server to clean your table and you shouldn't have to use a napkin to clean spills. Well... this was my first and last visit. I had never entertained eating here because I tend to stay clear of chain restaurants. With this being said, I had previously posted about needing a wedding rehearsal venue and the events coordinator from Bertucci's contacted me in an attempt to promote their franchise. Soooo.. the other day I see a coupon for $10 off on the "coupon app", which I use regularly at other venues. So... I decide to use the coupon to purchase a meal and test out their food since I was entertaining the idea of using them. Upon arrival I am greeted by two hosts, both of which are boxing up take-out pizzas. As I continue to watch the process, I notice that they are using leftover receipts to rest the pizza cutter on. Meaning, they are slicing pizza and then throwing the cutter down, halfway on the receipt and halfway on the counter. Pretty sanitary..no? I proceed to provide them with the coupon code and am told that it has already been redeemed. Remember, I have never dined here before. I am then told that the coupon from that app can only be redeemed by one person (total), therefore, the first person to see it online is the only one who can use it. Again, I use this app regularly and have never had this problem. I am told there is nothing they can do and I must pay full price. No attempt was made to speak with a manager...who was two feet away. Okay. Fine. I payed full price for the meal. No problem. However, please know that saving $10 cost you dinner service for 40 people plus alcohol. And just to test the theory, Carrabba's, which is down the street was offering a similar promo. Despite my chain restaurant reservations, I placed an order with them to see if they would honor their coupon from the same app. Guess what??? They did. read more
