BQM were exceptional for our move from LA to Seattle. We moved a 2 bedroom apartment. Pick up was on a Monday and load was delivered on Friday. Estimate: they sent someone out to do a visual inspection and rough inventory. This informed their estimate and made it so there were no surprise charges. The estimate was fair and they were helpful facilitating multiple quotes and offering competitive responses to competitor quotes. Pick up: 6-7 guys wrapped everything in moving blankets that wasn't already boxed. It took them about 3 hours to pack up everything. Drop off: 3 guys did drop off and re-assembled any furniture that had been disassembled. They moved everything to the appropriate rooms in our house. They didn't damage any of our items or any of the walls, door frames, etc in our house. read more

WARNING TOTAL SCAM they will show up and charge you at least an additional $1000 or refuse to load truck. That is their business model, one of the workers explained they have to do that at every home to cover the cost of the movers. The way it works is the sales guy Brandon or Jim will give you a low quote, then come moving day they will claim you have more stuff than they thought and hike up the price. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. They will also try to charge you for wardrobe boxes for every single item even absurd things like a snowboard that is already in a special snowboard travel bag. They wanted us to pay $30 to put that in a GIANT box and then charge us for the extra square footage. I get if we had tons of loose items but we have moved alot everything was boxed packaged and ready to go. Atlas and United NEVER treated us this way. Background: Last month we moved from Southern California to Northern California, had a binding estimate. This was our 5th big move in 8years we have always in the past had good experiences. We were shocked when they arrived and claimed we had an extra 1000sqft of stuff. We had just moved 9 months ago so there was no way we went from 1400sq ft to 2400sq ft. Absurd. It got ugly they wouldn't give back deposit, they wouldn't even start loading truck, they wanted an extra $2000 in cash. OYE. They claimed their truck was 2400sq ft, which, as a 26ft truck, it clearly wasnt. We finally came to an agreement by measuring their truck, seeing it was only 1800 sqft and had to pay an extra $1000 for our move. The one good thing is that they did wrap and package everything very well. They actual mover men were good people who worked hard. From first point of contact to last this company has been amazing. They helped us moved from CA to FL and then FL back to CA. Both cross country moves were so easy and we were taken care of the entire way. Danielle is unbelievably kind, easy to talk to and super supportive. She also has been extremely responsive to inventory and logistics questions and even helped us during the early hours of the morning when I know she should have been sleeping still. Jake and the ops team take over after pickup and provided us ETA's for our items. Every time I have needed something from Jake he has always come through and he is also extremely responsive. As far as the muscle and care of our personal belongings. I was so impressed with how well they wrapped and handled our items. The team was so careful with packaging and were so friendly the entire time. Their efficiency and organization was a 10 out of 10. The movers at Best Quality Movers are amazingly fantastic. From the booking until my move date, June 29th, each and every person was highly professional, skilled, very kind and friendly. They on the spot had everything organized, efficient, and done with great care for my previous apartment to my new residence. When the moving elevator was moving slowly, the moving staff were patient and cool headed. The 2 man crew moved my stuff from a storage unit to an apartment. They made any excuse not to put any furniture together or offer/ give any extra help with set-up at all. in fact, I had to find and unpack my own tools because he didn't have a screw driver. They left everything wrapped in plastic, and the only way to remove it was to be cut off. It was a lot of unnecessary work that they also left me with. They kept my step ladder, so that was a hassle. I had to stand on a chair. I emailed asking for my ladder. The company rep sent an incoherent response about his mover saying that it was behind some boxes, and I haven't heard from them since. And no great price at $917 for a local move, less than ten miles away, 1 bedroom apartment. I wouldn't recommend. This is not the first moving company that I've used, but hands down, it was the worst. read more

ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS. Organize all of their Yelp reviews by LOWEST RATING FIRST. You will see a theme... MONEY OVER PEOPLE. Out of protection for THEIR employees, I had to cancel our move the evening before, as we received the results of a positive COVID test in our household. We would have exposed their employees. I text messaged them the night before the move. (No response.) I text them at 6:30am AND sent a message on Yelp to cancel. See threads below. They are going to keep my $60 deposit during a PANDEMIC?! You'd rather we expose your employees. Whomever works for this company....RUN. They clearly put any small amount of money over your well being. I spoke to "Nick" over the phone and he was completely rude and inflexible. I can't even believe the ugliness that this pandemic has exposed. I told Nick to keep the $60 bucks. I wish I had positive things to say about my experience. Best Quality Movers Lost all of our Pots and Pans just two weeks ago. Since moving in, we realized (day 1) after unpacking all boxes that we didn't have any of our pots and pans - thousands of dollars worth of items (most from our wedding registry) - we told their team, filed a claim in detail with receipts as they requested and received an email saying we signed something saying we had all of our items so they can't help. Their team packed our kitchen and these items that are lost. They left before we could open all boxes and they aren't returning our calls or helping us to find our missing items or paying for them as they should - with our insurance which have that covers this (we have up to 5k). I am hugely disappointed with how they're handling this, and hope someone reaches out - they've been ignoring us. Danielle from the team (in the booking phase) is nice, but haven't found anyone else to be. They also broke a $400 item of ours and offered me $50 for the trouble. read more

Let me preface this review by stating that the actual movers/workers that loaded and delivered our belongings worked their butt off and did an acceptable job, my beef is with the supervisor that came to load the furniture and the warehouse that loaded the truck to the final destination. It was a nightmare, the mgr seem to work on commission or bonus so they are trained to look for stupid, illogical and used car salesman ways to change the estimates they provide, which by the way, they lied and mislead the inventory to low ball you so that the mgr can find ways to increase the bill. As he miserably failed to bait and switch our estimate, they destroyed numerous articles of furniture and well packed boxes were smashed so bad that numerous items were broken, since they won't load and unload your things unless you pay them in advance, you are royaly screwed with no protection other than suing them later. You want to save yourself from going insane, stressed out and feel hopeless, find another mover. The movers did a great job and protected our belongings well. Be sure to check about their charge for heavy items -- this was not listed clearly on my estimate, which concerned me because we had not budgeted for it, but the company graciously agreed to drop the charge since it was not spelled out clearly on the invoice. (It was mentioned without a dollar figure on their initial Yelp response, but I don't think that's a sufficiently clear indication of the possible charge, especially since other possible charges such as boxes are spelled out.) The move also took two hours longer than the maximum they had estimated, which made the price a lot higher than we had planned. The service itself was terrific, but I would encourage folks to check with them about how they estimate the moving time so that they don't end up with sticker shock. read more

Similar to what others have said, I received a low initial quote from Bob and Brandon. I was told that the price would be confirmed via virtual tour -- the virtual tour never happened They arrived and charged me $2.5k more than initially promised (vs $4.5k). I have the normal amount of stuff for a 1bed. When I complained to Brandon, he trumped up some additional $1k charge and offered to waive that if I signed a settlement agreement. The $1k charge was bogus and should have been in the initial price quote. They said 7-10 days to arrive and I would get 2-3 days notice. I was given less than 24 hours notice. The movers themselves were good but HQ is not. They promise a low price and then find all sorts of fees to charge you. I would not recommend using them Brandon in particular was incredibly rude. When I complained about the price, he said I could have had the movers unload the van and refused to pay on moving day. What?? In what world is that an option? Whatever you do DO NOT use this company. They are nothing but LIARS and thieves. No matter what they tell you in the beginning they will ALWAYS charge you WAY more they they say. They will NOT deliver within the 21 days as they say the are bound to, and they will try and rip you off for more and more costs that are flat out lies. Nothing but lying scumbags. Use a REAL company like Atlas, or Mayflower. Brandon the "Booker" LIES about needing Extra space and Nick at the warehouse LIES about delivery days and times and makes up whatever he wants to be able to charge you more. They work fast! Within 3 hours, they were able to prep my furniture, gather any lingering boxes I still had in the apt, move the furniture to my new place, unwrap the furniture and move one other big item to a different location that I asked them to. I didn't have a lot of stuff, but just looking at how they worked, they were very fast and careful with the items. I didn't move far from where I was originally (same city) so I think that helped in my case. Overall, great experience! Here's a tip: Make sure to have all of the boxes ready. They'll charge extra for packing, just fyi. read more
