I'm so excited to finally have a Better Buzz location in Orange County (in addition to the newly opened San Clemente one)!! My friend and I frequent their SD locations on the rare occasions when we're that far south, so we were looking forward to this visit. It's a small location in a tight little shopping center - it's mainly designed to be a drive thru, so limited parking shouldn't be too much of a problem if you're not really stopping in. We used the drive thru, but there was some covered patio seating, and you could also go inside to order. The line moved pretty quickly, despite there being a handful of cars ahead of us. The guy taking our order was very pleasant and friendly, as was the girl at the window when we rolled up to grab our drinks. Now, onto said drinks: I got the vanilla bean latte, iced. In the past, I've only ever ordered this hot, which I preferred, but it was still a pretty good cup of coffee; it seemed less sweet than when I've had it before. My friend ordered their London Fog, iced, and we both agreed that it was one of the best we'd tried!! I am SO happy this place finally opened near me! My coworkers in San Diego always talk about Better Buzz because they have so many locations there. I had never been. Since the opening date, I have been the past 3 days in a row! I don't drink coffee, but I am an avid tea drinker. I ordered the hot chai tea latte all 3 times and today I got the bacon chiabatta. Best freaking chai tea ever. They put a sprinkle of cinnamon on top which I love! I brought my husband and my best friend here as well to try it and they love it as well! The service is very warm and welcoming. I want to tell everyone to come try it, but I also don't want the lines getting even longer. But here I am telling the world. read more

The first time I tried Better Buzz Coffee was somewhere in San Diego. Seeing as I am from Orange County, it was always worth a stop if I was going south. When I learned that Better Buzz had opened a new location in Laguna, you know I was there! I love all their pastries! But my fave being their gluten free vegan donut. Yum! It's spongy and tasty and down right delicious. I don't drink coffee (the irony) but I absolutely love their lavender latte! I get it iced and substitute for almond milk. My husband loves their cinnamon cream cold brew. It's a great location with lots of parking and even better, a drive thru. Staff is friendly and super awesome. I had a great experience here. New favorite coffee place! Came here for the first time last week and tried their "Best Drink Ever"- an americano with cream. It was great, and even though it was super packed, it came out super fast and the employees were so friendly and energetic. Came back again today and was met with that same enthusiasm. This time, I tried the Snickerdoodle Latte. Definitely a 10/10, I loved this drink so much! I totally recommend it if you've got a sweet tooth and are a fan of cinnamon. read more

Came back to try this place again. I went with the pistachio cold brew since I've tried it elsewhere and really liked it. It's not bad it's just a lot of dairy. It seems like that's their concept with cold drinks. I do enjoy cold foam but it's just a lot. To me it overthrows the coffee balance to a point that you can't really taste the coffee. We spent a good amount here on our first visit. I have been seeing it as I pass in the mornings and we decided to go. Lines not as short as Dunkin, but not as long as Dutch Bros (my fave). The worker taking our order was nice and I wanted the receipt so we can add it to our loyalty program, but he forgot to give it to us after I tipped him 20%, which was a bummer. Overall aesthetics are nice, we heard TLC bumpin on the patio and saw how cute it was inside. I'm glad these are nice and new here compared Hot Off the Grill's old menus that were here before. Anyway, being a huge Dutch bros fan I like my coffee sweet AF, so I was curious on if Better Buzz would match my expectations. I have to say the employee shared that the Best Drink Ever, Horchata Latte & Hazelnut Divinity had sweetness and I picked the Divinity because of the name. I was not disappointed, it's really tasty if you like some creaminess and sweetness. It is not as sweet as Dutch, which may be good for regular people who unlike me want a splash of coffee with my sugar, kidding not kidding lol. I get the Cocomo iced from Dutch, if you ever had it I would say it is 3x as sweet as this Hazelnut Divinity. Can we also talk about how cute the name is? Like okay spiritualityyy. I got the chili crisp (not spicy) breakfast wrap & the beautiful Muenster cheese pull on this was super satisfying. I also got the feta avo toast and their feta tasted fresh and mild. I like the strong feta I usually eat, but this one was well balanced against the avocado & cherry tomatoes. My fiancé got the regular avo toast which was just okay - it was missing the red crushed pepper which we didn't see on it & Horchata iced. To be honest we both felt like there was something missing in the Horchata one, it lacked any creaminess or remnants of horchata and just tasted as if it only had a sprinkle of cinnamon in some watered down coffee. Peet's Coffee in Laguna Niguel has the best horchata iced, if that's what you're wanting. Felt bad for him because all of his items were subpar. So the other impressions we got here were how nice the decor looked, the ambiance was good but when we went to get our food at the window we asked for hot sauce and they had none. That's fine, but the employee stated next time for us to order a side of their aioli. So my thoughts are. 1. We didn't know as new patrons 2. We have to pay extra for that? 3. Why didn't he just offer us 1 today to created a better experience and lasting impression? Obviously they are not obligated, but it would have been nice and we would feel much more motivated to keep coming back as loyal customers here. With competition of Dunkin', Starbucks, Philz, Coffee Dose, Peet's and soon to be Dutch Bros - I would think they'd do their all to gain loyal customers. Especially since I drive past here daily and have the means to buy coffee every day. I will likely give them another try because there are other things I want to taste for like the Best Drink Ever + pastries, but I hope they consider creating a more exceptional experience for us locals. Solid spot overall, I recommend trying it at least once! Once Dutch is here soon, I'll wave toodle loo! Oh by the way, I requested directly that a Dutch comes to South Orange County and threw out the idea of Laguna Hills or Aliso Viejo and they actually listened! Dutch doesn't have food or goodies though, only drinks just FYI. I am thrilled, so all of you better keep the lines down when it comes because mama needs her Dutch so get out the way! :) read more

Customer service excellent (lady at the drive thru window was very nice hence why I gave three stars) but the Moroccan spiced iced coffee I bought was legit gross. It made me ill. Not sure if they used half and half that had gone bad but no bueno. If that drink hadn't made me ill I'd give it a second chance because the customer service I received was excellent. read more

Tried out the new strawberry matcha today it is DELICIOUS! The cold foam is not like other artificially tasting strawberry, and the matcha is sweet just the way I love it. Drive through provides fast service and looks clean inside from what I can see from the window. Got the turkey and Brie croissant YUM. U can tell the croissant is homemade. The arugula and tomato add a nice fresh taste and the mustard (vinaigrette I think?) is a nice addition. Also got an iced matcha, was good! A bit on the milkier side but I don't mind. I never know what to order from here because they have so many options that sound so delicious!!! I've had their ICED honey oat milk latte a few times and it is the PERFECT!!! The perfect amount of sweetness for a latte. I always do the drive thru which can get packed, but it moves quite quickly. Not a huge fan of their avocado toast, but it was good. I love starting out my day with Better Buzz coffee!! I'm a creature of habit and cycle between getting the Best Drink Ever (which lives up to its name) either iced or hot. I only knew of the location in SD, but once I realized there was a location only 5 minutes away from me...Game Over! Not to mention, the staff is wonderful specifically, Amber!! Love her. The decor is modern and the inside feels very hip. The drive-thru moves fairly quickly, and it's also easy to park in the complex and walk in instead. The only food I tried was a breakfast wrap, which was good. It's not my go-to since the drinks are on the more expensive side. A regular latte is about $6.50, and a large $7.50. Not that Starbucks or Dunkin are that much cheaper, but it's a little much. read more

First of, they forgot my lemon muffin after we have asked if everything is in the bag. We ordered a turkey pesto and 3 seed avocado toast. There are barely any pesto on the the turkey pesto. The avocado toast has absolutely no flavor. The toast feels like it was heated up multiple times and tastes old. The only good thing is the coffee was good. OMG I am so excited that a better buzz has opened in Laguna Hills! I was able to mobile order and skip the line and my drink was made perfectly on time. I stopped by on opening day and there was about 20 people in line. They have a great mix of food and drinks and my personal favorite is the iced best drink ever. Today I opted for the iced Salted Toffee Latte and it did not disappoint. One thing I wish is that the store was a little bigger because there was only about 4-6 tables to sit at. I wish I could give this place good ratings but every time I get a coffee via drive through I consistently receive very poor customer service. Strong attitudes and not a lick of kindness. On my last visit the lady at the window gave me a blank stare as I put my arm out the window to pay with my Apple Watch. Since she was just staring at me, I asked if I could pay with my watch. She said, "We don't do that. Nobody pays in the drive through with their Apple Watch." Yikes! I hope management invests in some customer service training. Don't forget you need to take care of your customers if you want them to return. Otherwise, the iced coffee was good. Similar price and quality as Starbucks. read more
