Delicious salmon caesar salad and ahi salad. Wasabi dressing has very strong kick! YOU CANNOT BRING YOUR OWN WINE. read more

I had great experience with Bibas. The service staff were courteous. Their soup of day was awesome.

Deciduous shrimp appetizer... lobster, filet and duck. Thanks Kyle... happy Easter. We will be back

We ate here for our last meal on Waikiki and it was one of the better meals we had. Get the lava flow! We had the Hawaiian and sweet pork brick oven pizzas. Both were excellent and well priced. read more

Guess I got lucky! Server was great! He was friendly, attentive and quick. The BBQ Kalua pork melt was awesome. So were my drinks. The complimentary rolls were good and drinks were strong..... My food was a 9 out of 10 and my wifes was about a 7 out of 10. All in all this was a nice eating experience! read more

Came to eat here last night to celebrate the husband's birthday. Came around 7:30 and got a table outside. No wait. Our waiter was Scott and he was great. We ordered the fresh catch with encrusted herbs and the double lamb with the crab artchoke appetizer. Crab artichoke was great! My fish was delicious and the husband's lamb was cooked nicely, but he liked my fish more ( I have great taste for food). It wasn't busy nor packed. After 8, it started to wind down a bit more. Reason for giving 4 stars is that our table could've been a lot cleaner...OR they should update the tables because there were a lot of gunk stuck on the rim and in the rim. It seems like they just pushed most of the gunk to the edges of the tables only hoping that they would fall off the table. Tables look clean from afar but nasty once you sit down and look around. OVERALL, great experience. Will definitely go back! read more

I had the 18 ounce ribeye to go with the fried calamari & pepperoncini . Hands down the worse steak and calamari I've ever had. Over seasoned and the entire steak taste like burnt charbroil and the chimichurri sauce taste horrible. The calamari was warm with ZERO flavor. I had big expectations for this steak dinner since it's plastered on billboards all over the really nice Hale Koa hotel and I was severely disappointed. To add to the garbage tasting food, the waiter/receptionist was rude and didn't speak a word from beginning to end while I was picking up my dumpster juice tasting take out. Spend your hard earned money on a decent restaurant! If it was possible to leave 0 stars, I would! read more

For an in-house restaurant at the military hotel this place is just okay. If I don't want to walk outside of the Hale' Koa to grab a bite to eat because I'm tired, this place is just okay. If I need mediocre room service this place is okay. That's really all there is to say. read more

We ate both at he buffet and ala carte. The buffet is better. I had the fried chicken for dinner: thigh & leg without much meat and steamed veggies over cooked & over spiced. Sad because it is hard to better the taste of fresh vegetables lightly steamed read more

Great service, beautiful establishment, friendly staff and very cleanly atmosphere! Drinks were very tasty and the food was really tasty!

Considering I ate at Biba's during the APEC weekend, it was relatively slow, and for a while we were the only people there. I went with a big party and our menu had been pre-ordered. My set course menu consisted of the Artichoke dip (appetizer), soup of the day (starter), herb seasoned rotisserie pork loin with white rice (entree), and ice cream (dessert). The artichoke dip was pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. They did give out way more dip than bread, so we used the rest of the dip with the dinner rolls. It was a pretty decent sized appetizer. The soup of the day never made it to the table, and that was a little disappointing considering the menu was pre-ordered. We didnt even know what it was, and it was pathetic to know that the servers saw what we ordered and didnt even ask to see if we had received it yet. The herb seasoned rotisserie pork loin was pretty good considering loins usually dry out incredibly fast, curing the cooking process. This entree came with two relarively decent sized loin medallions. With a light drizzle of au ju. I couldnt wait to eat it (even though I was getting full from the dinner rolls and appetizer). So I tried it and the loin was seasoned perfectly! A little dry, but not as dry as it could have been. I would have liked a little bit more sauce to make it a little bit more moist. But it was pretty darn good. The vegetables it came with was zucchini, crooked yellow squash, diced yellow onions, red and yellow bell peppers, green beans and waxed yellow beans. The vegetable were simply sauteed but overly seasoned with salt! It tasted like the ocean!!! The ice cream was nice. They had a big selection to choose from, but being a chocolate addict, I opted for the chocolate ice cream. It was rich, thick, and creamy! And came with a waffer and topped with mini M&M's. This is a good dessert for the chocolate lover! They dont skimp on this! :D I'm a light eater (obviously), but some of the huskier men in the party got full after the main course! I think they had a good amount of food. Quality was pretty good though it might have been because the restaurant was slow (due to APEC). read more

The food is subpar and the service leaves a lot to be desired. They ran out of most of the food we wanted to order and it was barely 8:30pm. We ordered the chicken Alfredo which was not edible and my husband had the pork. He described it as mediocre. I def would not go there again. Many other restaurants in the area that are completely enjoyable! read more

Worst Mother's Day meal ever! First--why did we have to make reservations for the same everyday "lunch" menu--nothing special for Mother's Day at all! Then the fish and chips were like Gordon's frozen --way too greasy! Finally, we ordered and they didn't bring one of our meals till the rest of us were done -- horrible service! Certainly not a pleasant way to spend what should have been a beautiful day in paradise. It. Any be the one of the only options here at the Hale Koa but I CERTAINLY won't eat there again! read more

Love the food. Especially the onion soup-awesome. But you must be a hotel guest or military. Menu changed and now very limited. Missed the Pacific Rim Salad, Chinatown steamed fish, osso bucco read more

Horrible. Chicken pasta was fried and mushy. Baby Back ribs we're dried out. Ordered a side salad with Balsamic dressing and they brought out a bottle of balsamic vinegar. The prices were silly for the quality. Like cafeteria food. read more

Bibas is a great place at a great price. The lettuce chicken wraps were super tasty, as was the mango chicken and spaghetti and meatballs. They had a little bit of everything for everyone. Would recommend! read more

My husband insisted on ordering me king crab last night from Bibas. Despite the price point, i agreed to give it a go. Well, it got here and didn't taste great. At all. Fishy fishy flavor. I kept telling my husband i was going to end up with food poisoning because of eating bad crab... and here i am. One in the morning, ive pooped everything i had in me and threw up the rest. Yay for food poisoning! I know i should have stopped eating it early on, but I'm a people pleaser and didn't want to make my husband feel bad for ordering it, and i didn't want to waste a 40 dollar meal. I also didn't want the confrontation of calling the restaurant and complaining... so here i am. Aside from the spoiled crab, my husband ordered the steak with pineapple chimmichurri and really liked it! So there's the silver lining i guess. read more

Date of visit: 2 October 2013 We always go to this restaurant whenever we stay at the Hale Koa, which is every year in the last 10 years. I used to like this place a lot, but that changed recently. The bread they gave that night was stale and just didn't taste good - Koko cafe served better bread. For the price of food, they ought to atleast give better bread. I had the cheeseburger, which was okay. Although, I expected more for the price. The plus side: nice setting and convenient read more

Had fish and chips was ok i guess fries came warm not too fresh or anything. Others with me had spaghetti, didnt seem like anything to rave over. Nice staff and atmosphere. read more

Just skip this place and go to McDonalds. Better food for half the price... seriously.

Location, location, location! Easy to access off the street outside on the terrace is the best place to dine in order to soak up all of the natural ambiance of Waikiki. If you are staying at the Hale Koa Hotel or Waikiki in general you must have at least one meal at Bibas. The Mahi-mahi is an excellent choice, tender and succulent fish steak, seared to perfection. An assortment of fresh sides will compliment this dish greatly. Top it off with a Mai Tai or two, if you so indulge. I prefer, a tall glass of ice water or sweet tea. Don't forget desert and be sure to take it all in at sunset. read more

Kitchen is slow, food is undercooked and over priced, plating is boring and wait staff is unprofessional. Hard pass, save your money and yelp literally anything else nearby. read more

They have a wonderful bone in ribeye steak here and I also like their gluten free pizzas. The ribeye is always moist and delicious especially with the chimichurri sauce. The gluten free pizzas are made with pre-bought crusts but they do a good job with the toppings. Great dinner with beer or wine. Too bad they no longer have their steak salad otherwise would have been a five star. You do need to be military or DoD to eat here. With validation you get 6 hours of parking for $3. If no validation, parking can be outrageous. Just pay at machine with cash or credit card before going to parking structure. read more

Originally 1-Star, but my wife talked me into doubling the review because of how fast our sons pasta came out AND it was easily the best thing we ordered. In short, everything was just blah at best. If you're looking to avoid the crowds of Waikiki or make the drive out of town, I'd just recommend getting takeout, find a place that delivers or just alter your dinner time to avoid the rush. There's too many good places in Honolulu and Oahu to settle for this. read more

American food restaurant located at the Hale Koa hotel on Waikiki. We went here a couple times during our stay, but either our fish was dry, the food was greasy, or it was bland. Now - this is *the* place to have cocktails, as happy hour starts at 3:00pm sharp, and there were always a fun group of folks to be found at this time of the day! read more

It was alright. Nice grounds and atmosphere. Foods was average. The service was great. read more

So the wife and I went here last night, I would recommend not getting the filet mignon as the sauce was very salty. Really wish it hadn't been. Seemed like they drowned it in salt.. it's a filet mignon, VERY UNCOOL. Ordered the calamari, it wasn't bad but it looked like baby octopus was put on the plate as well with the calamari, either that or the used whole baby squid and rings. Passed on he whole ones.. just advertise your information better.. it was a turn off. Deserts was okay read more

Appetizers took 30 minutes after ordering and were very small, and arrived over cooked and room temperature. Same story with the entrees. The steaks were flavorless and chewy. The prices would have been reasonable for Waikiki if the food was palatable. Do yourself a favor, spend a few extra dollars and go to Tommy Bahama's. read more

Very disappointing. Biba's used to be a great restaurant. They are WAY understaffed, the food is pre-prepared (no modifications to ANY menu items, and the service is .... gruff. Stay away. read more

Mediocre food for a mediocre restaurant. Third time here and third third time I've noticed bad attitudes from the staff. Sad part is that I saw it with other guests and not myself. Decent mashed potatoes and vegetables though. read more

Uhmmmm the menu is terrible. Our server was too pushy didn't really give us anytime to look thru the menu. Disappointed in this place.

I had the shrimp with angel hair pasta dish here. It wasn't the best, but wasn't the worse that I've had. The pasta was a bit past al dente and the sauce was really oily/buttery but the shrimp was big and plump and I just arrived on island and was starving so it did it's job. The outdoor seating was perfect in good weather and our waiter was really nice. He always had a big smile on his face that was really infectious. They had a pretty extensive menu of the usual cafe/diner menu of pizzas, sandwiches, and standard entrees. read more

OMG, if I could give no stars I would. This is my first bad review on yelp. Just got back from HI, and had dinner at this horrendous place. Service- Terrible, no one came to sit us to a table for about 6 minutes, it was dinner time and there were plenty of tables open, do not understand why. Once seated, did not even get water and the staff was running all over the place. This is poor management, this is a restaurant that services the military community and it is a real shame. The waiting staff was all over the place, seemed to me like there was not enough staff or they are not trained. Never took our drink order, I was starving and did not feel like waiting again at another place, so we stayed, Food-Not good. I ordered a french onion soup, who can mess this up, this is obviously from the can, so all they had to do was heated it and trow some cheese on top, well it was not hot enough, I ate it cause I was starving and was not going to order anything else. DH ordered spagetti with meatballs, OK, two meatballs over spagetti, he got bread. Nothing too crave about. Could have been put in the micro for a few more minutes. Please Hale Koa lets do something about this, it is sad that the poor waiters have to serve angry, hungry customers and probably would not get tipped because of mismanagement. This is a management issue, I am sure the waiters and kitchen staff were overwhelmed, so it is truly not their fault. You can see the kitchen from the dining room and seemed like they only had two cooks, serving tons of people. Lots of retirees, older people who were pretty frustrated! The table next to us was very upset, they had kids who were hungry and the service was extremely slow bringing their food. read more

Not bad. We originally were suppose to drive to Pieology for pizza; however, we were dead tired after walking around and shopping. We decided to eat at the Hale Koa Bibas. It was our first time here, and it wasn't too crowded, but still busy. Our server was a very nervous fellow, but friendly. The food was o.k, the kids loved their meals; however, the gluten free pizza was meh and not very good quality as far as toppings go. I had to pick off the cheese which is never fun; however, it was easy because they skimped on the toppings to begin with. There was a family near us giving my kids the eye because my kids are well...loud AF ha! And they were having a good time, but the family near us were pretty stuck up so eventually they left to sit somewhere else. Other than that, the experience wasn't too bad. Price is decent, but mostly won't come back. read more

I brought my kids after a long day of swimming at the hotel for dinner. We all ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and it was absolutely delicious! The most tender meatballs that I have ever had. The waiter was great and was very patient. (I am picky so I can be a pain sometimes when I order). We sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. The meals were very reasonable in price. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Great restaurant in the Hale Koa Resort. Hubby and I dined here twice during our stay. I got the dinner buffet both times. There were plenty of diverse selections and everything was delicious! Hubby got the steak and lobster one night but didn't care for it. He's not a picky person so that's the reason for 4 starts, not 5. Service is wonderful tho!! read more

Had a salad (with onions instead of egg) and oriental dressing, was delicious!! Shared the seafood bucket with my husband, crab and shrimp (on the smaller side) were both delicious. Corn and potatoes were both over cooked but didn't really bother me. Would definitely get it again while they have it. read more

Military ID or Room Key Needed to eat here. It was awesome! Even though it seemed our server had quite a few tables she always checking back with us. The lamb chops were to die for as was the catch of the day which I had blackened with the cream sauce. The mac nut carmel dessert was very good as well. We were near the kitchen and those guys were working non-stop. Everything came out really good. I was a bit concerned about going after reading some of the reviews on here, but I am glad I went. read more

5 star food at 2 star prices. We are here 2 days in a row. Steaks are amazing. Pasta ko olina is amazing and the kids loved the mango chicken. Don't bother going to other restaurants. Drinks are very tasty too. We love this place!!! read more

The good news is that if you have a large party (8) on a Saturday night, you can get a table without a reservation. Do not expect fast or personal/friendly service. Our waiter didn't stop by the table for a good 15 minutes, and when he did, his personality was flat. (Sir, time for a new job because you clearly don't enjoy working there.) Friend ordered fish (we were told it was frozen not fresh). I ordered a burger but they do not allow any substitutions for the cold fries that come with it. Two of our party got the buffet because they like prime rib, but the cuts they go were incredibly fatty. They had to go back for seconds in order to get a slightly better piece. The pulled pork pizza was decent. (Not great-good but good-good). Took forever for the drinks to get to the table. This place could be so much better!! read more
