What a Spring treat! I know it sounds funky but your first sip, you know it's a welcomed and tasty drink. So Bibble & Sip! It's a nice looking coffee house, nice looking baked goods, everything is coming up roses at B&S. I walk into the store just before its closing. All of the good baked goods are gone :( I ordered my Lavender latte and one of the last big chocolate chip cookies. The Lavender latte was really good, its something that I don't see in my travels and this flavor is something I always welcome. The baked goods? I wish I had a cream puff! Following a Saturday afternoon poetry reading with a intimate party of two we needed a cool down away from the sun + abject pain from the depths of hell from recent MAJOR surgery we came to Bilbble and Sip. One dark chocolate cream puff $2.75 One hot Jadeite Green tea $2.75 One ice coffee $3.65 My cream puff is huge but unfortunately only one flavor of dark chocolate were available at the moment. I wish there were vanilla bean or milk chocolate flavors. The chocolate coating on the pastry was very yummy! My green tea was average as I wish it were Jasmine Green tea as I love the fragrant aroma. In stillness with a friend we were able to analyze our lives in-depth for a life directional conversation without all the noisy background chatter of a loud restaurant. This coffee/tea closes early as we were the last patrons to depart. Seating is ample and one restroom facility exist on site. Customer service is efficient for taking orders to fulfillment and checkout. Disappointedly, flavored cream puffs are available only after 12 pm. House rules are visibly plastered onto an old fashioned mini blackboard with one in particular: bus your own trays, rubbish. I am a treat fanatic. I move into a city and start the hunt for the best treats in the area. I have to know everything from pie to donut to cookie. So I when I heard of Bibble and Sip I had no idea that I would be finding the best cream puff in NYC. And it's not your regular cream puff, I mean you can get a regular cream puff but there is also a matcha green cream puff or chocolate and even the regular has a hint of Earl Grey tea. Oh mama!! The puffs are huge. And the first time you take a nibble you have to think about your eating process. You don't want to lose any of the creamy goodness. The cream is injected from the bottom of the puff and a small gold disc is placed underneath it. Incredible and highly recommended. But wait....there's more. Like that isn't enough, they also have an delicious layered pistachio cake. The Pistachio Cake is a matcha, white chocolate mousse layered cake with raspberry gelee. It is too die for!! And it doesn't end there. If you are a chocoholic then the Chocolate Black Out Cake is a must. This ginormous cake is layers of chocolate cake and mousee covered in chocolate cake crumbs. You will be in a chocolate coma after this treat. There was recently a birthday at my work and this was a place that nobody had tried. People were blown away from the treats and were determined to visit the shop. I believe there might be a selection at the office this coming Monday but don't tell the birthday person...it's top secret. And I can't write the review without mentioning the look of the coffee shop. Talk about an eye for details. Absolutely everything was hand picked from the adorable Alpaca icon and mascot, to the modern lighting, hanging garden and clean look. What can I say about Bibble and Sip that 1600+ people haven't said already? All I know as this has been at the top of my list to check out for a while now, and in my high anticipation, it did not dissapoint. I feared based on popularity it may be a long wait and out of items. Fortunately, when I went on a Saturday at about noon, there was no line, but all the tables were full so I had to stand at a counter. I wanted a drink with a design in because I came out to be impressed, so I got the jasmine latte, which had a bear and was very tasty. I also got an earl gray and a matcha cream puff. I would recommend not doing both alone because they are pretty big and sugary, but tasted great! The matcha is probably the the more special one. Personally, I don't plan to be by the area in the neat future, so I might as well stock up and try a few things. Overall, a great taste experience, very reasonably priced, and the only down side is that there isn't a lot of space to enjoy it. Their location is only so big and there are signs saying they can't add chairs due to fire regulations, so yes they've been asked. I like big cream puffs and I cannot lie! You other Yelpers can't deny! When you walk up to the counter and you see a round pastry up in the case, you get SPRUNG. And so sprung I got! These cream puffs round, thick and full of cream. Of course, I had to order one of each: matcha and earl grey. These cream puffs live up to their aesthetics! The top of these are crackle topped, which gave it a nice light crunch. And I was not aware how much cream was in one of these puffs either! Its very generous and will ooze out if you are not careful. While both cream puffs are tasty, the earl grey is my favorite of the two since the flavor is stronger. I do recommend ordering both to enjoy though. I also shared an iced matcha latte, which they do not skimp on the matcha. I love how strong the matcha was and it was refreshing on a hot and humid day. The service line wasn't too long, and the employee didn't make me feel rushed as I decided what I wanted. Ordered: - Lavender latte was good. It had the right amount of flavor. Not too sweet and not too flowery. - Matcha cream puff was delicious. H U G E. The outside was soft but flaky/crisp, and the cream was airy and not dense. - Yuzu macaron tasted just like yuzu, which has a citrusy taste. Overall, would I come again... maybe if I was in the area. I love this place. Plain and simple, Biibble & Sip is 5-stars all the way through. Great coffee selection, excellent staff providing superb service, reasonable prices, hipster/chic vibe (without the attitude), and some delectable bites to boot. You don't have to be a coffee expert to order a quality cup of coffee; no intimidating foreign words required or judgement. You're not overwhelmed with a lot of choices, but the basics are available and if consistency is what you're after, you'll certainly get that here. I am a big fan of the pour over coffee and that's my go-to; some of the blends I've had were superb including a particular blend from Burundi, which was possibly the best cup of coffee I've ever had (bold yet sweet, nutty, and full of flavor from the first sip to last). The lavender latte is also unique and worth trying; not overwhelming on the flavor, but getting a whiff of lavender with each sip is a nice touch. The sweets here are indulgent and a bit too intimidating to tackle alone, but if you get the earl grey panna cotta, hoard it for yourself and do not even think of sharing! The cream puffs are also worth checking out as well as the breakfast sliders. The service here is quick, efficient, and patient considering how busy it can get. I've had several work meetings here and never felt rushed. Overall, Bibble & Sip offers a nice sanctuary if you want to take a break from your workday or need a place to meet up. I love the pastries, the drinks are great, but the prices hurt my soul. One Pikachu macaron was $5.28, and yes it was the character special of the month, but $5.28? For one? That's nearly the price of a Subway footlong, but this macaron sure wasn't a foot long. Delicious, though? YES. Worth it? To try it out once, go for it. I came for the Pikachu, but stayed for the hazelnut cream puff & passion fruit jasmine tea (cold). The cream puff had a buuuunch of cream which I appreciated! It's my favorite part. It's called a cream puff for a reason, and I love that they didn't slack on it. The puff itself was crispy on the outside and super soft and pillowy on the inside. I would totally get it again, but I do wanna try the other flavors available. Their menu changes quite a few times, and that's good I guess. You'll always have a reason to come back and try something new. But that line to order your item is ridiculously long. The line sort of moves fast, but sometimes not really. Please have your form of payment ready when you're near the register, waiting that extra minute for you to search for your wallet at the register is gruesome. The cashier is friendly enough not to put you to the side, but those behind you are definitely giving you the eye for not being ready. You know things are fresh AF when you see trays of creampuffs being placed in the display case. Only suggestion I have for management here is rearrange the seating area. The line here is always long and there is such chaos as people try to line up with customers eating and trying to go around people. I ordered it to go and I thought the marshmallow would get stuck under the lid, but it melted right into the drink and I managed to get small pieces of marshmallow with each sip. Yum! - Earl grey panna cotta: Delicious. Very light and aromatic of earl grey. - Blueberry lemon muffin: Fresh, buttery, and dense. I didn't taste much of the cookie butter streusel, but I enjoyed it. - Lavender latte: The only disappointment. If I didn't order it myself, I would've thought that it was just a regular latte because I didn't taste the tiniest bit of lavender that I was looking forward to. But if it were a regular latte, it'd be a good one lol. And the latte art I got was adorable! I'm still waiting to try the matcha panna cotta, but it's always unavailable when I go. I really liked coming here, they had a bunch of tempting pastries on display, and a number of great specialty drinks on their menu. I tried the lavender latte and was blown away -- the coffee was delicious, and the lavender was worked into the drink perfectly, without being too sweet or overpowering. The space is tiny, but the line moves quickly and the servers are on their game. It's got a nice vibe for a popular cafe, clean and well-run. If you're looking for a quiet cafe with space to read/work, then this isn't the best option for you. However, I can definitely see myself coming back here to pick up drinks to go! read more

Service is friendly. The shop is fairly small, with maybe a handful of seats and some standing tables. I am not a big fan of the cream puffs because I'm not a big fan of cream in general. But I give 4 stars anyways because their pastries and drinks are very well made. And I LOVE the cute alpaca designs they have on their boxes and bags. MATCHA & EARL GRAY CREAM PUFF - the Earl Gray has a very light, subtle flavor, but it is very fragrant. The matcha is a stronger, more overpowering flavor. If you like tea and cream pastries, you'll probably like these, but I do recommend sharing. There is WAY too much cream inside and the pastry shell is so thin. Their cream to pastry ratio is way off. Its a very big cream puff, so there will be times when you're only getting a mouthful of cream. I'd prefer to get a balanced bite of cream and pastry together. PASSION FRUIT JASMINE TEA - Surprisingly, it's not as sweet as I thought it would be. I didn't love it, but it's good and very refreshing, especially when paired with a dairy-filled cream puff. (if you get a milk tea with a cream puff, it's too much dairy overload) JASMINE MATCHA LATTE - this is soooooo good! You can definitely taste the jasmine and the matcha. Didn't know they would work so well together. EARL GRAY BANANA BREAD - I tried this out of curiosity. I love banana bread and I love earl gray tea. This is a very interesting mash up. This banana bread is not very sweet, but you can definitely taste the earl gray. Like it tastes like what earl gray tea smells like, if that makes sense. I wouldn't get it again because I prefer my banana bread on the sweeter side and with chocolate chips! But this was very interesting to try. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty packed. Treats are both adorable and delicious! We tried all of them over the course of several days, and they were all good!

Everything about this place was so cute! I'd glanced through the yelp reviews before arriving, so I already knew in my mind what I wanted to try before I got there. I ordered a lavender latte and two superrr cute panna cotta jars, and settled in for a few hours of studying. The foot traffic is pretty fluid, so even though there is limited seating, the seats were never completely filled during my visit - not even during the 5 o'clock rush. Most people seemed to just drop in to pick up coffee and pastries on their way home or for a snack before dinner. I didn't really taste the lavender in the latte, which I didn't mind too much because it was delicious regardless, and the foam art was cute! I ended up taking the panna cotta home to share with my roommates - and we really enjoyed them! I love earl grey anything, and the earl grey panna cotta did not disappoint! Both are super creamy and perfect for an after dinner dessert. I'd say that they are probably better shared though, because they are super rich! Free wifi is a huge plus! I prefer the cream puff more. CON: - Iced lavender Latte ($5.25) - I couldn't taste the lavender at all. This was OVERRATED. I love the cream puffs here! I've tried only the Early Grey and Matcha, but they were both great! They are filled to the brim with cream and it is super smooth, thick and flavorful. The shell or pastry is light and slighty crisp to it. I've actually bought them before and left them in the fridge for the next day and they were still really good! I would definitely come here for the cream puffs. (It's also a bonus that you can get some of them at Project Cozy in LES.) Aside from the cream puffs, I have only tried their Bibblers Special Parfait. It sounded very fancy but when we got it, it wasn't as great as it sounded. It was also really sweet that I couldn't finish it. The ice cream flavors were decent but coming them all was a bit much. The crispy cookie flakes were more like just cookie crumbs for added texture. The alpaca cookie was cute but it wasn't hard nor soft so texture was just average. It says it comes with a macaron, but it only comes with half of one, so one that is unfilled of one side. The five stars would only go to the cream puffs. I haven't tried much of anything else, but I would probably only give it a 3 or 4 if they didn't have cream puffs. I came here while ago when it was still pretty cold. The line was short though since it was so cold but there wasn't an empty seat in the house. The cream puffs were the thing, so we got both the matcha cream puff and the earl grey one. I'm not a huge coffee fan, so whenever I go to a fancy coffee shop, I don't really care. So, I got the hot chocolate, which was okay, it wasn't anything to write more about. The puffs are good, I guess the matcha one is the one that people flock for but I liked the Earl Grey one a little which had a little sweetness balanced by the strong, bitter tea. read more

I think the viral video that I had watched made me think too much of this treat that my expectations were high. The earl grey puff: this won me over! Again, the outside was light and crunchy! This review is based on my experience with their cream puffs. During my recent visit last week on a very muggy day, I tried both their Green Tea and Earl Grey and I had an Iced Americano. In my opinion, Bibble & Sip's cream puffs are NOT better than Beard Papa's. Aesthetically, sure. Bibble & Sip's cream puffs are quite pretty. But there are some flaws to their cream puffs. 1) First of all, they pump their cream into the cream puff from the bottom. I noticed that both the cream puffs I ordered, were already oozing cream from holes on the bottom. The cream was only kept inside by the paper base that they were sitting on. **Beard Papa's doesn't have this problem. When you order your cream puffs, they pump their cream into a small hole on the side of the puff. And from my many experiences with their puffs, the cream never leaks out, unless you apply some pressure and squeeze. (In that aspect, Beard Papa's has already solved the problem of gravity). ;-) 2) Second of all, I noticed that the amount of cream in my cream puffs varied greatly. My earl grey had plenty of cream inside, while my green tea seemed to be lacking in cream, so the consistency in each cream puff is not there. **Being that Beard Papa's pumps the cream in once you order, there is always a consistent amount of cream inside each puff, resulting in a delicious bite every time! 3) And last, at $3.50 a cream puff, they are pretty damn expensive. At $3.50 a cream puff, I expect this cream puff to be pretty damn good. I did enjoy the Earl Grey puff. Unique flavor, and wasn't overly sweet. The Green Tea one? Meh..Nothing special there. **Beard Papa's has different prices for their cream puffs, starting with the basic cream puff for $2.15. Next is the cocoa puff for $2.25, Dulce de leche for $2.35, and Dark chocolate eclair for $2.45. They have a specialty flavor that rotates every 2-3 weeks. After that, you can select which flavor cream you want in what style cream puff. Individually, NONE of their cream puffs come to more than $3.00. Location, Bibble & Sip is away from busy Time Square, so that's nice. But this part of Manhattan gets pretty busy too during peak hours. And the place is so small! Inside, there are very few seats available, and the waiting area is so tiny. Based on my experience with the cream puffs, Bibble & Sip, you have not lived up to my expectations. read more

I got the Earl Gray puff, the Matcha puff, and the White Chocolate Matcha Pistachio Cake. Earl Gray Puff - 3/5 stars. The outer shell was perfectly crunchy, while the inner cream filling wasn't overly sweet. However, while the filling is not too sweet, the filling was a little too heavy for me. It sat uncomfortably in my stomach much like low quality butter does. I think that cream puffs need a nice balance of shell and filling and this bakery missed that mark. While both puffs I had were filled with generous amounts of filling, the heavy filling ended up overpowering the entire puff. Matcha Puff - 2/5 stars. The consistency of the Matcha filling was much smoother than the Earl Gray, but the Matcha filling was otherwise rather bland and did not leave much of an impression. My boyfriend who was with me loved the Matcha puff though and said the flavor of the Matcha was just right. White Chocolate Matcha Pistachio Cake - 4/5 stars. The cake comes with an overly sweet macaron. I have a friend that works at a macaron bakery so I do have to commend them for the fact that the shell of the macaron was prepared using the traditional French technique. The cake itself was a perfect blend of white chocolate, pistachio, and matcha. Each flavor was distinct, yet complimented each other. Aside from the cake, I was not impressed. We stopped by here after our broadway show because it was right around the corner. The line was huge but it was worth it, it's perfect for something small before our real dinner. We got lucky with seating bc someone was leaving but otherwise their isn't that much of it. Definitely give the Matcha Puffs a shot, a lot of Matcha and is actually pretty filling. read more

The cakes and macarons here look adorable, but I'm always disappointed when I actually eat them (in both the taste and texture). I actually haven't tried the cream puffs, but based on what friends have told me (as well as the other reviews here) the they're probably the way to go here. This review is mainly for the croissants though. tl;dr : -Black sesame croissant, raspberry mascarpone croissant: recommended -Plain croissant, macarons: average -Cakes, everything croissant: not recommended The croissants are better than I expected given that they're not a French bakery. On some days however the croissants have been dense inside, rather than airy and open. In order of most to least liked, I've tried: -black sesame almond croissant ($4.36) - this is not referring to the twice-baked one, which I haven't tried. This one is delicious, with light layers and a great, slightly sweet black sesame and almond paste in the middle. Highly recommended. -raspberry mascarpone cheese croissant ($5) - this is mostly cream, which usually isn't something I liked but this barely sweet mascarpone and raspberry filling was delicious. The croissant isn't very noticeable due to the amount of filling, but the crust is pretty hard and crunchy. Personally I preferred this to Epicerie Boulud and Supermoon's raspberry croissants, which visually look similar, since it was not nearly as sweet (though the croissant part here isn't as good, the filling is better). Recommended if you want a lot of cream filling. -plain croissant ($3) - buttery with a crispy flaky exterior! The inside was average and heavier than that of the black sesame croissant, but overall not bad. -everything bagel croissant ($5) - the croissant part of this was very dry, but there was a ton of ricotta cream cheese filling that pretty much masked the croissant. I personally am not a huge fan of excessive filling so I didn't love this - in my opinion Daily Provisions makes a better version if you want a lot of cream cheese filling, and Chanson's version is also good if you only want a tiny bit of cream cheese. Overall my experience from the items I've tried here (which don't include the cream puffs) is 3.5/5, rounded up for cuteness. read more

I saw these enormous cream puffs on the Bibble & Sips IG and I knew that my YEA would love to dive into one of these delectable things. It was a short walk over from dinner and when we arrived, it was packed with people with the same idea for a dessert treat. No surprise there. Seating here is a bit scarce with a few tables against the wall, some bar spots along the window, and a skinny L-shaped bar in the middle of the space. Once we waded through the crowds and line to secure our cream puff and seats by the window, we happily tucked in. We decided to share a chocolate cream cuff with the classic custard pudding inside. Taking a bite of the cream puff revealed the not overly sweet custard inside and the nice flaky pastry that envelopes it. The custard was also light and airy while the pastry was almost moist on the inside. You feel that you can keep eating it without getting full. If you're in the area, I would recommend coming here to try one of these super-sized cream puffs. read more

I'm so glad this place came up as a suggestion as a cafe in the area! I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I'm not too fond of treats and desserts at cafes, but Bibble & Sip honestly hit the spot for me. I tried the black sesame cream puff and the matcha jasmine latte. Maybe it's cause I've never had an actual cream puff before, but man this thing was mindblowingly good. The crumbly outer crust blended so well with the smooth creamy inside. The sweetness level was just right for me - the sugar didn't overpower the flavor of the sesame or crust. The matcha jasmine latte was delicious too! I'm typically kinda pessimistic towards these bougie-sounding drinks, but this one was exactly how I wanted it. I could actually taste the different flavors blending together. Again, it was not stuffed with sugar like you might get at other cafes. The store itself is pretty nice. Very cozy atmosphere. The staff was very friendly! They have a bunch of cute pastries (like totoro macaroons) that are really fun to look at. Highly recommend this place, especially if you're like me and don't like overly sweet treats. read more
