Went on a Sunday morning at about 9:30am and it was/got busy! Tables full, line down the side of the building. They were out of all the smoked fish but tried a pastel de nata. I just got back from Portugal the week before so I had a lot of pastel de natas to compare to... theirs was okay. Definitely good, but not great in comparison. More eggy. The coffee was good. I had the iced salted maple... wasn't very flavorful but still enjoyed it. My husbands cappuccino was good. Also had a morning bun that they get from Prager Bros which was good. Had a bite of a friends ricotta toast which was good. Overall glad it's in the neighborhood, and want to try more food items. Giving them a 5 for now even though it could also be a 4. Might update after more visits. read more

Welcome to the neighborhood Bica!! We loved our stroll for coffee this morning. This spot seems family owned, warm and welcoming. Excited about all the outdoor seating and doggos chilling on a Sunday morning. There were a couple tables out front facing Adams Ave - great for Normie people watching. My boyfriend got the Cafe de Olla and loved it! Couldn't quite put his finger on what the nutty and spicy flavor was, but it was smooth and delicious! I had iced coffee. The beans they use are locally roasted and I love that. I can't wait to try everything on the menu, especially the pickle plate?! Will be back soon! read more

Honestly I'm not exactly sure why this place has such high rating. I hate leaving negative reviews but my sister and I were waiting for 10 mins and neither of the 2 baristas working even acknowledged our existence so we just left without getting anything. I understand if they were busy and couldn't help us right away but they could have at least said hi or acknowledged us. It wasn't the waiting part that left a bad taste in our mouths, rather it was the baristas ignoring us for a solid 10 mins despite us being the only 2 people inside the coffee shop. Kind of a shame since the coffee looked good but after that interaction we'll definitely never go back. read more

The service was extremely friendly and fast. I asked for half the amount of sweetener/syrup because I don't like super sweet drinks and they were super accommodating. There's a tiny indoor area to order and a big outdoor seating area. I got an egg tart and coffee and it was delish. read more

Obsessed with this place! It's so simple yet eclectic. I love that there's a patio area where you can enjoy your food/drink, hang out, WFH, etc. I ordered the iced honey sea salt latte and ricotta tartine and they were both so flavorful and delicious, I'll definitely be coming back to order both items again! I'll also probably grab some Provecho & tinned fish/seafood during my next visit - love that they have additional items for sale! I've visited twice and both times the wait was awful. On my last visit, I waited over 20 minutes for a drip coffee (was told a machine was not working, so was offered an alternative, then told that machine was working again and to just wait a bit more...). If the coffee was exemplary, then maybe the wait would be worthwhile. But the coffee is just fine in best case, and more often is kind of weak. Not worth it---especially with other alternatives within walking distance. read more

Really great lattes that taste wonderful. The only thing is the prices are a bit high, especially with the small sizes they serve. I wish the sizes were bigger for the cost, which is why I have it give it 4 out 5. On the weekends there can be a long line and it gets crowded with limited seating outside but the service is fast. Well...the food was good (tho our tuna sandwich had to be remade because the first was fishy) but the flies!! Omg the flies! So many flies around all the tables, you could not leave your food uncovered for more than a few seconds or it would be bombarded. Our dog couldn't sit still he was so freaked out about them buzzing all around. I have a friend who has recommended this place twice since but I've been reluctant to go (and reluctant to tell her my experience because she was so enthusiastic) I keep thinking I need to give it a second chance but...the flies were so bad. read more

We came across this cafe as it was close to where we were staying during our trip. The service was fairly fast and pleasant, the patio area is a nice place to enjoy the food. The breakfast options and coffee were surprisingly tasty, we ordered the soft boiled eggs and avocado toast which were both delicious. For drinks we would recommend trying the honey sea salt latte, orange and cardamom latte, the cortado and the espresso tonic. We also loved the custard tartes, but they run out quickly so we would recommend getting there early! read more

My coffee and tartine were good. But the setup is a little disappointing. You cant see the menu until you're at the register. The tartines are expensive and you only get one (although the photos show two). The patio outside is meh and the seating isn't comfortable. Ambiance lacking. The food (lox) was delicious -- however, upon getting to the front of the line I was told they were out of ALL sandwiches except one. I also waited 20 minutes for my food to be delivered to the table. Portuguese inspired coffee shop with a pleasant outdoor space. Their lattes are hit or half-hit, depends on who your barista is. Their tarts are amazing. And their vibe is excellent. The loaves of sourdough they sell are made by a local baker. I wanted to love it, partially bc I love the hype, partially bc it was like $15, but honestly it was just okay. Prager Bros is still light years ahead.... Still, the place is fun, good quality, and adds a lot to the neighborhood. read more

If you are a tuna fan they have one of the most incredible tuna sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Bread that doesn't tear up the roof of your mouth but still has a great crunch and the tuna was perfectly seasoned, could not recommend this one more. The lox toast was also amazing! 5 stars for the person running the register and doing it all - taking orders, making drinks, restocking, staying on top of the kitchen to ensure orders are coming out, basically running the show by himself. I understand this place is new and still finding their groove, but it's hard to justify the inefficiencies when you see who appears to be the owner or manager and kitchen staff just chatting it up among themselves and friends while that young cashier is hustling and doing it all at the front of house. read more

I am second to write a review on this day from witnessing a truly awful encounter of verbal abuse from management to their staff. The owner or manager was cussing and yelling with rage over what seemed to be a missing towel. I don't care what it was. The staff had shrunken shoulders and tried to carry on like normal. This is most likely the working environment of hostility they are used to. Never seen anything like it. read more

I'm so happy that this place opened up within walking distance. The coffee is amazing and the menu looks delicious. It's worth the price for the fresh ingredients. We brought our 11 month old and he loved playing with the toys on site. I like that they are open at 6:30 am for those of us who are forced to awaken due to the aforementioned child. The owner is friendly and the service is quick. It seems like a welcoming environment for everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing this business grow and hope that it's here to stay! read more

I'm so happy about this new cafe! The salted honey latte was delicious and really carefully crafted, AKA rich coffee, not too sweet, and balanced flavor. I also loved the avocado toast. The bread was definitely made fresh at a bakery and was crusted in sesame seeds. Perfectly toasted and then avocado slices on top with sprouts, thinly sliced radishes and a drizzle of olive oil and salt. It was lovingly made and tasted amazing! read more
